Objective: This study aims to verify effect of 1-RM direct measurement method of back squat on beginners. Method: Total of 8 healthy adults were recruited for this study (age: 29 ± 3.81 yrs., height: 174 ± 3.83 cm., body mass: 74 ± 11.63 kg., 1RM: 96 ± 19.78 kg). All participants performed the back squat with 80%, 90% and 100% of the pre-measured 1RM. A three-dimensional motion analysis was performed with 8 infrared cameras and 3 channels of EMG were used for this study. One-way ANOVA with repeated measure was used for the statistical analysis with the significant level set to α=.05. Results: The ankle joint ROM in the transverse plane was significantly increased as the weight increased during the concentric contraction phase 2 (p < .05). In addition, the erector spinae and the gluteus maximus, which are synergist for the motion, showed a significant difference according to the increased weight (p < .05). Conclusion: Our results revealed that beginners increase potential dynamic knee valgus as weight increased. Therefore, it is thought that field coaches should pay attention to this to minimize and prevent injuries when measuring 1-RM for beginners.

This investigation was undertaken to clearify the mechanism of the stimulated respiration caused by K^+ in brain tissue, using Warburg's manometric apparatus. The oxygen consumption of the slices of cerebral cortex, cerebellum of rat was studied in Krebs-Ringer bicarbonate medium (pH 7.4) under 100% oxygen phase. The addition of 140mM KCl in medium stimulated remarkably oxygen consumption rate in brain tissue, while the addition of 120mM sucrose were not stimulated. These results indicated that the K load and increased metabolism could reflects an increased energy expenditure involved active Na-K pump either by neurons or by glia cells or both.

본 연구는 무용수의 체력발달 특성을 분석하여 무용의 전문체력 이해 및 무용수의 체력 훈련을 위한 자료를 제공하는데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위하여 9년이상의 경력을 갖고 있는 여자 무용수 11명(현대무용 : 5명, 한국무용 : 3명 발레 : 3명)과 비 무용수 9명 총 20명을 대상으로 신체구성, 기초체력, 등속성 각근력 등을 검사하여 양 그룹의 결과를 비교 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 무용수는 신체구성상 %Fat이 작았으며 특히 요위와 WHR이 작았다. (p<0.01) 2. 무용수는 비 무용수에 비하여 모둔 체력요인이 우수하였으며 특히 유연성과 평형성이 발달하였다.(p<0.01) 3. 무용수의 대퇴 신ㆍ굴근력의 peak torque, peak torpue %BW는 비무용수와 차이가 없다.

The aim of periodontal therapy is a removal of a bacterial plaque but the instrumentation for plaque control has two nature : removal of a bacterial plaque and increase of surface roughness. Complication of instrumentation is enable to damage to the root surface and artificial crown. Therefore this study was conducted to evaluate the effects of repeated instrumentation on the marginal portion of artificial crown. Fifteen proximal surfaces of ten extracted periodontally diseased maxillary first molars were used. The finish line was placed on the root surface, and then the crown was cased and cemented in usual manner. Three kinds of instruments : had curet, ultrasonic scaler, and ultrasonic curet were used. After instrumentation, final polishing was done with rubber cup and pumice. And surface changes were evaluated by stereomicroscope and scaning probe microscope. Roughness was increased after instrumentation in all groups, and was decreased after polishing except ultrasonic scalar group. Roughness in the ultrasonic scaler group was lower than others, and roughness after polishing in the hand curet group was lower than others. These results indicate that polishing procedure is recommended, because periodontal instruments increase the surface roughness and induce the irreversible damage to the marginal portion.

In the piezoelectric ceramics of the Pb(Zr 0.53, Ti 0.47) O3+0.5 wt% MnO2 system. The effect of grain size on the electrical properties were systematically investigated. A specimens of the controlled grain size with a constant density were succesfully fabricated by selecting of firing temperature and socking time. Electromechanical coupling factor(Kp) and mechanical quality factor(Qm) decreased, but the piezoelectric constant(d31) increased slightly with the increasing grain size. The decreasing of ins-ulation resistance was evaluated in terms of grain boundary effct.
