다음 글은 현대중공업 경영기획실 부장으로 근무하고 있는 김재민 박사의 북한 방문기이다. 2007년 12월 14일부터 19일까지 5일간의 일정으로 북한에 대한 조선공업의 지원을 위한 방문의 일환으로 이루어진 글이며 북한의 중심지 평양과 북한의 주요 해안 지역들을 살펴 본 결과로서 가장 최근의 북한의 상황에 대한 생생한 기록이라 할 수 있다. 이 자료들은 현장의 통일교육과 북한지역연구 등에 귀중한 참고가 될 것으로 판단되어 김재민 박사의 글을 싣는다. 특히 북한의 경제, 공업, 북한의 지리 등에 대한 좋은 자료가 될 것이며, 중등학교 수업에서 잘 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. 김재민 박사는 한국외국어대 독일어과를 졸업하고(1978년), 연세대학교에서 경영학 석사학위를 취득하고(1981년), 한국생산성본부, 산업연구원(KIET) 등에서 연구원으로 근무한 뒤 독일 함부르그 분데스베르(Hamburg Bundeswehr) 대학에서 경영학 박사학위를 취득(1995년)한 후 현재 현대중공업 경영기획실 부장으로 근무하고 있는,한국의 대표적인 조선공업기획의 전문가이다.
Real-Time Visualization of Ultrasonography Guided Cubital Tunnel Injection: A Cadaveric Study

Objective To describe an ultrasonography-guided technique for cubital tunnel injection.Method The ulnar nerves from 12 elbows of 6 adult cadavers were scanned, and the cross-sectional areas of the ulnar nerves, cubital tunnel inlets and outlets were measured by using ultrasonography. All elbows were dissected after an ultrasonography-guided dye injection at the inlet of the cubital tunnel. The dissectors evaluated the spread of dye and the coloration of the nerve and remeasured the cross-sectional areas of the cubital tunnel inlets and outlets.Results After a real-time visualization of an ultrasonography-guided injection, the ulnar nerves were seperated from the medial groove for the ulnar nerve. All the ulnar nerves of the cadavers were successfully colored with the dye, from the inlet to oulet of the cubital tunnel. The post-injection cross-sectional areas were significantly larger than the pre-injection cross-sectional areas. No significant differences were detected in the post-injection cross-sectional areas of the cubital tunnel outlet and the ulnar nerve as compared with the pre-injection areas.Conclusion Clinicians should consider real-time visualization of ultrasonography for guided injection around the ulnar nerve at the inlet of the cubital tunnel.

Kim, Jae-Min and Park, Yun.-Ja. 2001. The Developmental Order and the Frequency Analysis of Textbooks for Wh-questions of English. The Linguistic Association of Korea Journal, 9(3), 89-108. It is observed that the children speaking English as mother tongue (LI) have the developmental order for Elf -questions . Also the children studying English as L2 showed the similar developmental order for English wh-questions The purpose of this study to the developmental order for wh-questions in Korean learners and the distribution for wh questions of English textbooks in middle school. The subjects consisted of 115 middle school students. They were tested by 36 wh-questions composed of 18 subjective questions and 18 objective questions. The results of this study showed that Korean students had the sae developmental order (where, what, who, how, why, when) for English wh-questions as L2. The results also Indicated that for the frequency distribution of wh-questions, English text books for middle school students Korea did not reflect the developmental order for English wh-questions (Chonbuk National University)
유한요소와 무한요소를 사용한 2차원 선형 지반-구조물계의 지진응답해석법

본 연구에서는 지하철구조물, 터널구조물 및 제방 등과 같은 2차원 지반-구조계의 지진응답해석을 위한 주파수영역 동적해석법을 제시하였다. 제시한 방법에서는 구조물과 구조물 주변 근역지반은 유한요소를 이용하고 원역지반은 주파수종속 동적무한요소를 이용하여 모형화하였다. 지진입력은 입력지진파를 수직으로 입사하는 P-파와 SV-파로 가정하여 자유장응답을 구하였으며 외부고정경계법을 적용하여 등가지진하중을 산정하였다. 본 연구기법의 검증을 위하여, 층상 자유장지반과 균질 반무한지반에 매입된 원동형 공동에 대하여 지진응답을 수행하였다. 이들을 다른 기법에 의한 해와 비교한 결과, 본 연구의 기법이 매우 정확함을 알 수 있었다. 마지막으로 지하철 역사의 지진응답해석 예제를 제시하여 본 연구의 적용성을 보였다. This paper presents a dynamic analysis technique for a 2-D soil-structure interaction problem in the frequency domain, which can directly be applied as an analysis tool for seismic response analyses of underground structures, tunnels, embankments, and so on. In this method, the structure and near-field soil is modeled by the standard finite elements, while the unbounded far-field soil is represented using the dynamic infinite elements in the frequency domain. The earthquake-input motion is regarded as traveling P and SV waves which are incident vertically from the far-field of underlying half-space to the near-field of layered medium. The equivalent earthquake forces are then calculated utilizing so-called fixed-exterior-boundary-method and the free-field responses including displacements and tractions. For the verification of the present study, seismic response analyses are carried out for a multi-layered half-space free-field soil medium and a cylindrical cavity embedded in a homogeneous half-space. Comparisons of the present results with solutions by other approaches indicate that the proposed methodology gives accurate estimates. Finally, an application example of seismic response analysis for a subway station is presented, which demonstrates the applicability of the present study.
EPP and Case in Locative Inversion

This paper is concerned with EPP and Case realization in Locative Inversion constructions of English. It is argued that the inverted locative phrase itself satisfies EPP, and the preposition in the fronted PP is the Case realization. To support them, we have used the examples of Chichewa, Korean, and other Dravidian languages. One step further, the DP after V in Locative Inversion constructions has Partative case in LF. This analysis can explain Agreement and Question formation satisfactorily with some pragmatic principles together.
