The dielectric properties of [(CH₃NHCH₂COOH)₃·CaCl₂] single crystals are measured and discussed in the temperature range from 123K to 143K [(CH₃NHCH₂COOH)₃·CaCl₂] single crystals are grown from an aqueous solution by slow evaporation method. The phase transitions of [(CH₃NHCH₂COOH)₃·CaCl₂] single crystals is second order and Curie constant of [(CH₃NHCH₂COOH)₃·CaCl₂] single crystals is about 56K.

Thermoacoustic signal which is gererated by the thermal waves have been measured from room temperature to 230°C. As a result, the intensity of thermoacoustic singal according to the variation of temperature is decreased remarkably at 177°C. Consequentely, the temperature of phase transition of the lead germanate single crystals is 177°C and it is equal to Curie point, and it must be the displacement ferroelectricity of the second order phase transition.

The constants in the free energy equation of Gibbs are α=3.4091X10(T-T), β=-3.2903X10 C.G.S., γ=9.7614X10 C.G.S. The Curie constant is 2.9333X10℃. Spontaneous polarization is 21C/cm²of room temperature. The ferroelectric-paraelectric transition of KNbO₃single crystal was proved to be first-order.

Dielectric constant of K(Nb₁_χVχ)O₁₃[x=0, 0.005, 0.001, 0.1] crystals increases as a function of the frequency in the 1MHz∼6MHz range. As we substitute V^5+ ions more, dielectric constant increases, and the second phase transition temperature and the Curie temperature move to higher temperatures. We have known in terms of Devonshire's phenomenological theory that all crystals investigated in this study including KNbO₃, K(Nb0.995V0.005)O₃, K(Nb0.99V0.01)O₃, and K(Nb0.9V0.1)O₃single crystals grown from the 0.58 K₂CO ₃+0.42 (Nb₁_χVχ)₂O5 melt have the characteristic of the first order phase transition at the ferroelectric transition.

KLN single crystal films were sucessfully grown with good epitaxy on (0112) sapphire substates by the rf magnetron sputtering technique. The [00l] axis preferably oriented films of KLN were grown at substrate temperature higher than about 600℃. The ordinary refractive index of the film was no=2.26. The TEo mode optical propagation loss in an about 3.0um thick films was 7.9dB/cm at 6328 A.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the prevalence rate of adolescents obesity. The number of adolescents comprised of 1000(500 boys and 500 girls) in small and medium cities in Chungnam area. The results of this survey, using Rohrer numenical index, of prevalence rate of obesity, the distribution of obesity by sexes and ages, the distribution of obesity degree, the continuum of prevalence rats of obesity, and the correlation coefficient of obesity by ages were as follows ; 1. The prevalence rate of obesity was 13.2% 2. The distribution of obesity by sexes showed that there were 60 boys(12%) and 72 girls (14.4%), so the girls were much higher than the boys. 3. The distribution of obesity by ages showed that boys of 6 years of age were 14.8%,16 years of age(13.00%), 7(12.60%), 12(12.40%), and in the case of girls, 11(15.20%), 13(14.60%), 12(14.4%) and 17(14.4%) respectively. 4. The distribution of obesity degree showed that low-overweight was 11.8%, mid-overweight 9.7%, and high-overweight, 11.8%, In the difference of obesity degree between boys and girls, the girls were much higher than the boys in mid-overweight, but was similar in low-overweight and high-overweight. 5. The continuum of prevalence rate of obesity appeared mainly at early ages, The difference between boys and girls was not large. 6. The correlation coefficient of obesity by ages was very high for the boys on 13∼14 ages and on 15∼16 ages. As for girls, it was very high on 13∼14 ages and 14∼15 ages. The results above suggested that school athletics and appropriate exercise could be useful means to prevent gradually increasing obesity from adolesecnts and we must concern about the prevalence of obesity.
Gamma선의 NE-213 Scintillator에 의한 Energy Deposition Spectrum의 계산

The Gamma-ray Energy Deposition, through the Organic Liquid Scintillator(NE-213), were calculated by means of Monte Carlo method. Gamma-rays and charged particles are traced until their energy become to be smaller than ?? cut=200keV and ?? cut=300keV respectively. In this code, Compton Scattering and Pair Productions are considered of the interactions of Gamma-ray with matter. In this thudy, the Energy Deposition Spectrums of NE-213 by the Gamma-radiation of Co-60 and Na-22. are calculted.
