Portable gamma radiography for nondestructive testing with 192Ir is commonly used in various industrial fields to detect possible internal defects of metals in pipelines, tanks, bridges, ships and so forth in Korea. Compared to the numerous researches about biologic effects and potential risks of radiation, only a few papers were reported about radiodermatitis from occupational exposure to 192Ir. In this study, we investigated six patients with occupational radiodermatitis which developed during portable gamma radiography for nondestructive testing with 192Ir. All six patients had developed radiodermatitis on their hands and fingers. They noticed painful swelling, erythema, and bullae on their fingers or palms 1 to 2 weeks after exposure. Three patients suffered from chronic fibrosis and recurrent ulcerations. We also discussed about the working situation of our patients and reviewed the literatures about the radio dermatitis from occupational exposure to 192Ir. In conclusion, we think ionizing radiation, though it is a useful tool in industry, must be carried out in accordance with radiation protection rules and regulations.

As a way of realizing one's nature, Zen puts high emphasis on the cultivation of mind. However it never neglect physical cultivation. So, in Action Zen (動정), the physical aspect of cultivation has a long history. The purpose of this thesis is to examine the educational values of Action Zen in relation to the field of physical exercise. Though illness may break out when physical strength declines, the power of healing is in within me as the nature of enlightenment is also within myself. In order to improve the inner strenth which is the source of healing, the cultivation of Zen is helpful in many aspects. First, it can strengthen the body by exercising as presented in the appendix. Second, we can sleep peacefully by the exercise of abdomen breath which is an important excercise of Action Zen. Third, we can build a strong will power by cultivation. In spite of its value, Action Zen has not been popularized. There are many reasons for that. The first reason is that people are attached to enlightenment while they view the body as emptyness. The second reason is that mankind's stamina can be weakened, for there are many wars and periodical environmental changes in industrial society due to material life's pursuit. The third reason is that people are doing Action Zen in special groups, because action Zen practitioner's numbers are small. The fourth reason that people cannot succeed in Action Zen is because they are afflicted with views non sympathetic to Buddhism. The fifth reason is that people experience the conflict of mind-body because they have a because they have a conflict of interest in religions. The sixth reason is that for a long time people have been attached to the material world because they cannot understand the true meaning of Zen but cling to materiality. Hence, in order to survive, people are concerned only with dynamic Action Zen, such as self-preservation, and Budhist martial art. As a result today we can hardly find passive action Zen as presented in appendix. The values of Action Zen can be summed up as follows: The frist is physical values: ① we can transform our muscles to be like iron ore ② we can delay symptoms of senility ③ we can drive out illness ④ we can adapt oneself to new circumstances. The second is spiritual value : ① reinforce the will ② solve a spiritual ② solve a spiritual sickness ③ to strengthen the brain power Third is educational value; to realize one's own nature so that one can practice the virtue of helping others. In short, by strengthening our body, Action Zen not only helps achieving body-mind harmony but also helps man attain his true nature. In an age of conflict of values, and alienation, the practice of Action Zen is greatly needed.
Non-Interpretative Analytic Techniques for Sicker Borderline Patients
유재학,하지현 한국정신분석학회 2017 精神分析 (Psychoanalysis) Vol.28 No.3
Borderline personalities are known to be associated with sick and difficult patients in analysis. Sometimes usual interpretation in treating borderline personality patients is of no use due to the lack of acceptable attitude from these patients. Usually, non-inter-pretative analytic techniques such as containing (understanding of projective identification), holding, mirroring, scaffolding, blending, empathizing, and clarification of patients’ status and affect are used before interpretations. These non-interpretative ana-lytic techniques have been effective in treating sick borderline personality patients, especially when patients were not ready to ac-cept interpretations. Various kinds of non-interpretative analytic techniques were reviewed in this study. Through this process, it was found that the effectiveness of these non-interpretative analytic techniques were not only prerequisites of therapeutic alli-ance for interpretation, but also independent therapeutic factors for the interaction between patients and analysts in treating sick patients with borderline personality.

Symptomatic Zinc Deficiency occurs due to decreased supplimentation, increased consumption, and decreased bowel absorption of the zinc. We report the typical case of symptomatic zinc deficiency in a patient who received total parenteral nutrition for about 4 weeks due to chronic diarrhea. And after supplementation with oral zinc sulfate, the diarrhea stopped in a day and skin lesions disappeared completely within a week.

The authors reviewed the meanings of a psychoanalytic setting, which is composed of a Patient's free association and an analyst's analytic neutrality. In particular, this was done by discussing the definitions of a psychoanalytic setting, the functions of free association, and the development of the meanings of analytic neutrality over time. The purpose this wasto provide an understanding of a psychoanalytic setting for psychoanalytic therapists. To fully understanda psychoanalytic setting, the several points must be considered. Firstly, a patient's introspection about his/her inner world in the presence of an analyst in a psychoanalytic setting facilitates the development of the psychoanalytic process. Secondly, both a patient's reflective functioning of his/her mental process and a patient's relational experiences of transference feelings toward their analyst is important for analytic treatment. Thirdly, a patient's progress withfree association during treatment sessions indicates spontaneity a motivation to be cured from a patient's standpoint. Fourthly, a patient and an analyst become aware of the meaning of a patient's materials from free association through the process of Ed-highlight: Unclear. I'm not sure what you mean by this word. Are you referring to the patient's thoughts or feelings? free association itself. Fifth, the main aim of analytic neutrality is to understand the patient's psychic reality, and it is important to understand this reality through interaction between a patient and an analyst.
