RESULTS ON THE ALGEBRAIC DIFFERENTIAL INDEPENDENCE OF THE RIEMANN ZETA FUNCTION AND THE EULER GAMMA FUNCTION

        Xiao-Min Li,Yi-Xuan Li 대한수학회 2023 대한수학회보 Vol.60 No.6

In 2010, Li-Ye \cite[Theorem 0.1]{LiYe2010} proved that \begin{equation}\nonumber P\left(\zeta(z),\zeta'(z),\ldots,\zeta^{(m)}(z),\Gamma(z),\Gamma'(z),\Gamma^{''}(z)\right) \not\equiv 0\quad\text{in }\ \mathbb{C}, \end{equation} where $m$ is a non-negative integer, and $P(u_{0},u_{1}, \ldots, u_{m},v_{0},v_{1},v_{2})$ is any non-trivial polynomial in its arguments with coefficients in the field $\mathbb{C}$. Later on, Li-Ye \cite[Theorem 1]{LiYe2016} proved that \begin{equation}\nonumber P\left(z,\Gamma(z),\Gamma'(z),\ldots,\Gamma^{(n)}(z), \zeta(z)\right)\not\equiv 0 \end{equation} in $z\in \mathbb{C}$ for any non-trivial distinguished polynomial $P(z,u_0, u_1,\ldots$, $u_n, v)$ with coefficients in a set $L_\delta$ of the zero function and a class of non-zero functions $f$ from $\mathbb{C}$ to $\mathbb{C}\cup\{\infty\}$ (cf.~\cite[Definition 1]{LiYe2016}). In this paper, we prove that $P\left(z,\zeta(z),\zeta'(z),\ldots,\zeta^{(m)}(z),\Gamma(z),\Gamma'(z),\ldots,\Gamma^{(n)}(z)\right)\not\equiv 0$ in $z\in\mathbb{C}$, where $m$ and $n$ are two non-negative integers, and $$P(z, u_0,u_1,\ldots,u_m,v_0,v_1,\ldots,v_n)$$ is any non-trivial polynomial in the $m+n+2$ variables $$u_0,u_1,\ldots,u_m,v_0,v_1,\ldots,v_n$$ with coefficients being meromorphic functions of order less than one, and the polynomial $P(z, u_0,u_1,\ldots,u_m,v_0,v_1,\ldots,v_n)$ is a distinguished polynomial in the $n+1$ variables $v_0,v_1,\ldots, v_n$. The question studied in this paper is concerning the conjecture of Markus from \cite{Markus2007}. The main results obtained in this paper also extend the corresponding results from Li-Ye \cite{LiYe2008} and improve the corresponding results from Chen-Wang \cite{Chen2021} and Wang-Li-Liu-Li \cite{Wang2021}, respectively.

        《文选》及李善注所涉神话的数据统计与分析

        李立(Li Li),?月(Gu Yue),李炫周(Li Xuan-zhou) 한국중어중문학회 2009 中語中文學 Vol.45 No.-

In the present study of anthology, even few scholars have been studying the myth involved in Wen Xuan and its annotated version. The results of the studies are still rare, There are over 140 workers poetries with mythological images in over 700 works which included in Wen Xuan, it was 20% of the total. And the above-mentioned 140 poetries, most of which are annotated by Li Shan, richly embellished with quotations and allusions to classical mythology in poems. The Cbu Ci that has been most frequently quoted it, secondarily Shan Hai Jing, thirdly Huai Nan Zi. Zhuang Zi has come in the fourth. A "Book of Myth" in Wen Xuan, which annotated by Li Shan, mentioned case of myth, and The Chu Ci, Shan Hai Jing and Huai Nan Zi from which over 10 types of myth were quoted, just Shan Hai Jing instead of The Chu Ci had held the first position. Of the 48 kinds of myths in the Wen Xuan by Li Shan annotated, "natural myth was the most, followed by the social myth", then "goddess myth", "creation myth" at least, with only three kinds. Most work s of Wen Xuan were recorded in Two Han Wei Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties, most poems with mythological images were also recorded in the same period. According to the above analysis. Two Han Wei Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties, was not only an important period that Chinese ancient myth was developed evolved, but also an important period that mythology and ancient literature linked by a close relationship.

Advances in CRISPR-Cas systems for RNA targeting, tracking and editing

        Wang, Fei,Wang, Lianrong,Zou, Xuan,Duan, Suling,Li, Zhiqiang,Deng, Zixin,Luo, Jie,Lee, Sang Yup,Chen, Shi Elsevier 2019 BIOTECHNOLOGY ADVANCES Vol.37 No.5

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat (CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated protein (Cas) systems, especially type II (Cas9) systems, have been widely used in gene/genome targeting. Modifications of Cas9 enable these systems to become platforms for precise DNA manipulations. However, the utilization of CRISPR-Cas systems in RNA targeting remains preliminary. The discovery of type VI CRISPR-Cas systems (Cas13) shed light on RNA-guided RNA targeting. Cas13d, the smallest Cas13 protein, with a length of only ~930 amino acids, is a promising platform for RNA targeting compatible with viral delivery systems. Much effort has also been made to develop Cas9, Cas13a and Cas13b applications for RNA-guided RNA targeting. The discovery of new RNA-targeting CRISPR-Cas systems as well as the development of RNA-targeting platforms with Cas9 and Cas13 will promote RNA-targeting technology substantially. Here, we review new advances in RNA-targeting CRISPR-Cas systems as well as advances in applications of these systems in RNA targeting, tracking and editing. We also compare these Cas protein-based technologies with traditional technologies for RNA targeting, tracking and editing. Finally, we discuss remaining questions and prospects for the future.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> RNA targeting and editing are becoming increasingly important </LI> <LI> CRISPR-Cas systems are advancing for RNA targeting, tracking and editing </LI> <LI> The type VI CRISPR-Cas systems are useful for RNA-guided RNA targeting </LI> <LI> Use of Cas9 and Cas13 will advance RNA-targeting technologies </LI> </UL> </P>

Li, Fang-Xuan,Wei, Li-Juan,Zhang, Huan,Li, Shi-Xia,Liu, Jun-Tian Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.16

Purpose: We aimed to study the relationship between thrombocytosis and clinical features of gastric cancerfocussing on platelet counts and gastric cancer progression through different TNM stages. Methods: According to the normal range of platelet count in our institution, 1,596 patients were divided to two groups: a thrombocytosis group (120 patients, > $400{\times}1000/{\mu}L$) and a control group (1,476 patients, ${\leq}400{\times}1000/{\mu}L$). Results: The incidence of thrombocytosis was 7.5%. Higher platelet counts were observed in patients with older age, larger tumor size, deeper invasion, lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis and advanced TNM stage. In multivariate logistic regression, tumor size, depth of tumor invasion, lymph node metastasis and TNM stage were independent risk factors for thrombocytosis of gastric cancer patients. On prognostic analysis, age, tumor size, tumor location, histologic type, depth of tumor invasion, lymph node metastasis, distant metastasis and TNM stage and platelet count were important factors. Tumor size, invasion depth, lymph node metastasis, TNM stage and the platelet count were independent prognostic factors. Conclusion: Thrombocytosis is associated with clinical features of gastric cancer patients and correlates with a poor prognosis.

The Breed and Sex Effect on the Carcass Size Performance and Meat Quality of Yak in Different Muscles

        Li Zhang,Baozhong Sun,Qun-li Yu,Qiumei Ji,Peng Xie,Haipeng Li,Li Wang,Yuchun Zhou,Yongpeng Li,Caixia Huang,Xuan Liu 한국축산식품학회 2016 한국축산식품학회지 Vol.36 No.2

The carcass size performances and the meat quality of Gannan and Sibu yak were determined using M. supraspinatus (SU), M. longissimus thoracis (LT) and M.quadriceps femoris (QF). It is found that Sibu yak had significantly higher carcass weight (CW) than Gannan yak with difference of nearly 40 kg, as well as significantly higher eye muscle area (EMA), carcass thorax depth (CTD), round perimeter (RP), etc. The carcass performances of steer yak were significantly higher than heifer yak except meat thickness at round (MTR) (p<0.05). The results show that both yak breed and gender had significant effects on carcass performances. It could be seen that the variation of carcass size performances from breeds is as large as from gender (50.22% and 46.25% of total variation, respectively) through principal component analysis (PCA). Sibu yak had significantly higher L*, b*, WBSF, cooking loss and Fat content, while Gannan yak had significantly higher a*, press loss, protein content and moisture (p<0.05). Yak gender and muscle had insignificant effects on meat colour and water holding capacity (p>0.05). The variation of meat quality of yak from breed is up to 59.46% of total variation according to PCA. It is shown that the difference between breeds, for Gannan yak and Sibu yak, plays an important role in carcass size performance and meat quality.

Fibulin2: a negative regulator of BMSC osteogenic differentiation in infected bone fracture healing

        Li Shi-Dan,Xing Wei,Wang Shao-Chuan,Li You-Bin,Jiang Hao,Zheng Han-Xuan,Li Xiao-Ming,Yang Jing,Guo De-Bin,Xie Xiao-Yu,Jiang Ren-Qing,Fan Chao,Li Lei,Xu Xiang,Fei Jun 생화학분자생물학회 2023 Experimental and molecular medicine Vol.55 No.-

Bone fracture remains a common occurrence, with a population-weighted incidence of approximately 3.21 per 1000. In addition, approximately 2% to 50% of patients with skeletal fractures will develop an infection, one of the causes of disordered bone healing. Dysfunction of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) plays a key role in disordered bone repair. However, the specific mechanisms underlying BMSC dysfunction caused by bone infection are largely unknown. In this study, we discovered that Fibulin2 expression was upregulated in infected bone tissues and that BMSCs were the source of infection-induced Fibulin2. Importantly, Fibulin2 knockout accelerated mineralized bone formation during skeletal development and inhibited inflammatory bone resorption. We demonstrated that Fibulin2 suppressed BMSC osteogenic differentiation by binding to Notch2 and inactivating the Notch2 signaling pathway. Moreover, Fibulin2 knockdown restored Notch2 pathway activation and promoted BMSC osteogenesis; these outcomes were abolished by DAPT, a Notch inhibitor. Furthermore, transplanted Fibulin2 knockdown BMSCs displayed better bone repair potential in vivo. Altogether, Fibulin2 is a negative regulator of BMSC osteogenic differentiation that inhibits osteogenesis by inactivating the Notch2 signaling pathway in infected bone.

      • SPON2 Promotes M1-like Macrophage Recruitment and Inhibits Hepatocellular Carcinoma Metastasis by Distinct Integrin–Rho GTPase–Hippo Pathways

        Zhang, Yan-Li,Li, Qing,Yang, Xiao-Mei,Fang, Fang,Li, Jun,Wang, Ya-Hui,Yang, Qin,Zhu, Lei,Nie, Hui-Zhen,Zhang, Xue-Li,Feng, Ming-Xuan,Jiang, Shu-Heng,Tian, Guang-Ang,Hu, Li-Peng,Lee, Ho-Young,Lee, Su-J American Association for Cancer Research 2018 Cancer research Vol.78 No.9

<P>Matricellular protein SPON2 acts as an HCC suppressor and utilizes distinct signaling events to perform dual functions in HCC microenvironment.</P><P>Tumor-associated macrophages (TAM) represent key regulators of the complex interplay between cancer and the immune microenvironment. Matricellular protein SPON2 is essential for recruiting lymphocytes and initiating immune responses. Recent studies have shown that SPON2 has complicated roles in cell migration and tumor progression. Here we report that, in the tumor microenvironment of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), SPON2 not only promotes infiltration of M1-like macrophages but also inhibits tumor metastasis. SPON2-α4β1 integrin signaling activated RhoA and Rac1, increased F-actin reorganization, and promoted M1-like macrophage recruitment. F-Actin accumulation also activated the Hippo pathway by suppressing LATS1 phosphorylation, promoting YAP nuclear translocation, and initiating downstream gene expression. However, SPON2-α5β1 integrin signaling inactivated RhoA and prevented F-actin assembly, thereby inhibiting HCC cell migration; the Hippo pathway was not noticeably involved in SPON2-mediated HCC cell migration. In HCC patients, SPON2 levels correlated positively with prognosis. Overall, our findings provide evidence that SPON2 is a critical factor in mediating the immune response against tumor cell growth and migration in HCC.</P><P><B>Significance:</B> Matricellular protein SPON2 acts as an HCC suppressor and utilizes distinct signaling events to perform dual functions in HCC microenvironment.</P><P><B>Graphical Abstract:</B> http://cancerres.aacrjournals.org/content/canres/78/9/2305/F1.large.jpg. <I>Cancer Res; 78(9); 2305–17. ©2018 AACR</I>.</P><P><B>Graphical Abstract</B></P><P> [Figure]</P>

Role of soy lecithin combined with soy isoflavone on cerebral blood flow in rats of cognitive impairment and the primary screening of its optimum combination

        Li Hongrui,Wang Xianyun,Li Xiaoying,Zhou Xueyang,Wang Xuan,Li Tiantian,Xiao Rong,Xi Yuandi 한국영양학회 2023 Nutrition Research and Practice Vol.17 No.2

BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Soy isoflavone (SIF) and soy lecithin (SL) have beneficial effects on many chronic diseases, including neurodegenerative diseases. Regretfully, there is little evidence to show the combined effects of these soy extractives on the impairment of cognition and abnormal cerebral blood flow (CBF). This study examined the optimal combination dose of SIF + SL to provide evidence for improving CBF and protecting cerebrovascular endothelial cells. MATERIALS/METHODS: In vivo study, SIF50 + SL40, SIF50 + SL80 and SIF50 + SL160 groups were obtained. Morris water maze, laser speckle contrast imaging (LSCI), and hematoxylineosin staining were used to detect learning and memory impairment, CBF, and damage to the cerebrovascular tissue in rat. The 8-hydroxy-2′-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) and the oxidized glutathione (GSSG) were detected. The anti-oxidative damage index of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione (GSH) in the serum of an animal model was also tested. In vitro study, an immortalized mouse brain endothelial cell line (bEND.3 cells) was used to confirm the cerebrovascular endothelial cell protection of SIF + SL. In this study, 50 μM of Gen were used, while the 25, 50, or 100 μM of SL for different incubation times were selected first. The intracellular levels of 8-OHdG, SOD, GSH, and GSSG were also detected in the cells. RESULTS: In vivo study, SIF + SL could increase the target crossing times significantly and shorten the total swimming distance of rats. The CBF in the rats of the SIF50 + SL40 group and SIF50 + SL160 group was enhanced. Pathological changes, such as attenuation of the endothelium in cerebral vessels were much less in the SIF50 + SL40 group and SIF50 + SL160 group. The 8-OHdG was reduced in the SIF50 + SL40 group. The GSSG showed a significant decrease in all SIF + SL pretreatment groups, but the GSH showed an opposite result. SOD was upregulated by SIF + SL pretreatment. Different combinations of Genistein (Gen)+SL, the secondary proof of health benefits found in vivo study, showed they have effective antioxidation and less side reaction on protecting cerebrovascular endothelial cell. SIF50 + SL40 in rats experiment and Gen50 + SL25 in cell test were the optimum joint doses on alleviating cognitive impairment and regulating CBF through protecting cerebrovascular tissue by its antioxidant activity. CONCLUSIONS: SIF+SL could significantly prevent cognitive defect induced by β-Amyloid through regulating CBF. This kind of effect might be attributed to its antioxidant activity on protecting cerebral vessels.

      • Construct optimized overlay multicast via preferential random walk

Xuan Zhang,Xing Li,Chongrong Li 보안공학연구지원센터 2008 International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Vol.3 No.2

Tree depth and load balancing are two main metrics in overlay multicast network. Optimizing the two metrics with lightweight overhead is important for live media streaming. This paper proposes one scheme to construct optimized overlay multicast with short tree depth and load balancing via short random walk. The key idea is the preferential random walk based on fitness function in which the tree depth and load balancing metrics are defined as parameters with weighted coefficients. Simulations and experiments show that the fitness function is valid and optimized overlay network could be constructed via preferential random walk. We also find the local and global optimized results occur at some middle value of coefficient between 0 and 1, which is not consist with our intuitions that optimized result with single metric should occur at the boundary of coefficient(0 or 1.0).
