Switched Reluctance motors(SRM) attract much attention in motor because they are reliable and inexpensive. With advance in power electronics and high-speed processors, the performance of SRM has been enhanced greatly. But they require rotor position information to operate. In many systems, rotor position sensors are undesirable and have disadvantages. To overcome the disadvantages include by position sensors, a number of sensorless methods for SRM'S have been proposed by researchers This paper describes a method for indirect sensing of rotor position in SRM's pulsewidth modulation voltage control. The method required no priorl knowledge of motor parameters excepts for the numbers of stator and rotor poles. The detection method uses the change of the derivative of the phase current to detect the position.

This paper presents a research about the change of structural characteristics of steel cable-stayed bridges which suffer cable breaking down. Cables of cable-stayed bridges can be broken by crash of the vehicles, fire, fatigue fracture, and so on. It can lead the change of internal force distribution of main members and the ultimate capacity because of girder-cable-mast interaction. A effect of cable breaking down was considered using nonlinear finite element analysis and the ultimate analysis was performed to investigate the change of ultimate capacity after cable breaking down. In this study, fan-type cable stayed bridge was adopted as the analysis model. As performing the cable breaking down analysis, the change of internal force distribution after individual cable breaking down was studied. And then, the characteristics of ultimate capacity reduction were investigated with respect to various breaking down situations.

Congenital factor VII deficiency is a rare bleeding disorder that has an estimated prevalence of 1/300,000 to 1/500,000. Transmission is autosomal recessive. Because factor VII is important in initiation the coagulation cascade, a factor VII deficiency can result in significant bleeding with pr oiongation of the prothrombin time. In severely affected patients, bleeding starts early in life and encompasses life-threatening hemorrhages such as Intracranial and gastrointestinal hemorrhages. These are the most frequent bleeding events in the first 6 months of life. Definitive diagnosis tests on a specific assay for factor VII clotting activity. Human factor VII from plasma is used to treat factor VII deficiency. Either fresh frozen plasma or factor VII concentrate can be used. We experienced a case of intraventricular hemorrhage in a newborn infant who had been diagnosed as congenital factor VII deficiency. So, we report the case with a review of literatures.
HCV, Acute, LT : IL28B Gene Polymorphisms in Myanmar Patients with Chronic HCV Infection

Introduction: IL28B gene is a gene which is located on the human chromosome 19. Recently, it was discovered that favourable IL28B gene polymorphisms is associated with the viral clearance and achievement of sustained virological response (SVR) in the treatment of chronic hepatitis C infection. Therefore, studies of IL28B gene polymorphisms can help us to predict whether the treatment of chronic hepatitis C will attain SVR or not. The prediction of SVR by IL28B will be useful in genotype 1 patients because our real life experience showed that SVR rate in Myanmar patients with G 1 is around 80 % (Less than 50 % in Western countries with unfavourable gene polymorphisms in majority of the cases) and that may be due to favourable IL28B gene polymorphisms in Myanmar patients with chronic HCV infection. Up to now there is no data on the prevalence of different IL28B gene polymorphisms in Myanmar patients. Conduct of the Study Study Population: This study consists of 171 patients from Yangon GI and Liver Centre and Mandalay Specialists Centre. Blood samples were sent to National University Hospital, Singapore, and two types of IL28B gene polymorphisms were determined viz. rs12979860 (CC favourable genotype) and rs8099917 (TT favorable genotype). Results: Out of 171 patients who participated, the results showed that about 86% of all genotypes (i.e.149 patients) are of CC/TT type. Among G1 patients 36 out of 41 patients (89%) are favourable genotype CC/TT. Conclusion: As CC/TT is favorable genotype for SVR, it is concluded that Myanmar patients with G1 unlike Western patients with G1, will have a high SVR rate of more than 80% with the current standard of care (SOC). Therefore, Directly Acting Antivirals (DAA) may not be necessary for the naive Myanmar patients with G1 chronic HCV patients. Recommendation: It is recommended to continue the study of SVR rates among different IL28B genotypes in Myanmar patients with chronic HCV patients who are receiving antiviral therapy.
