        겨울철 보광이 절화장미 ‘Nobles’의 생육 및 개화에 미치는 영향

        본 시험은 겨울철 광원별 보광처리에 따른 장미의 생육상태와 온실내의 온ㆍ습도 변화를 조사하기 위하여 수행하였다. 보광재료는 나트륨등과 형광등을 사용하였고, 처리는 야간에 5시간씩 하였고, 2회 수확하였다. 온실 내 온도는 보광시작 후 나트륨등 보광처리가 높았으며, 슬라브내 온도는 오전 6시에 나트륨등으로 보광한 처리가 높게 나타났으며, 일일 평균습도는 나트륨등 처리가 낮게 나타났다. 나트륨등 처리시 장미 줄기의 인산, 칼륨, 칼슘, 마그네슘 함량은 다른 처리보다 많았고, 잎에서는 칼륨과 마그네슘 함량이 다른 처리보다 낮았다. 잎의 엽록소 함량은 처리간 차이가 없었다. 절화장과 줄기 직경은 다른 처리보다 나트륨등 처리에서 양호하였다. 수량은 2회 모두 나트륨등 보광에서 더 많이 나와 일조량이 부족한 겨울철에 나트륨등으로 보광하면 장미 수량과 품질을 높일 것으로 생각된다. This study was carry out to investigate the effect of supplemental lighting on the growth and flowering of Rosa hybrida ‘Nobles’ in winter. Supplemental lighting was treated during 5 hours at night with sodium lamp and fluorescent lamp, and cut flowers harvested 2 times for the experimental period. After supplemental lighting, air temperature and slab temperature in glasshouse was higher in sodium lamp treatment than control. Realtive humidity was low in sodium lamp treatment. Total nitrogen phosphate, potassium, calcium, and magnesium contents of stem in sodium lamp treatment were higher compare to the other treatment. In sodium lamp treatment, the potassium and magnesium content of leaf in control were lower than the others. Chlorophyll content was not different by source of lighting. Stem length and diameter was longer in sodium lamp treatment. In two times, the yield was highest in sodium lamp treatment. Therefore, supplemental lighting with sodium lamp in winter season was recommended for improving the yield and quality in cut rose ‘Nobles’.

        일사비례제어에 의한 절화장미(Rosa hybrida cv Cardinal)의 급액량 규명

        본 시험은 펄라이트 배지에서 적산일사량에 따른 급액이 장미 ‘Cardinal’의 생육에 미치는 영향을 고찰하기 위하여 수행하였다. 배지내의 pH는 6.0에서 6.7사이로 안정적이었고 EC는 급액보다는 배액에서 높게 나타났는데 후기로 갈수록 높아지는 경향이었다. 무기성분은 비순환식 C. Sonneveld처방 기준으로 보면 인산과 칼리, 마그네슘이 집적됨을 알 수 있었는데, 특히 칼리와 마그네슘은 각각 기준량 195ppm, 18보다 집적됨을 알 수 있었다. 배지의 배액율은 전체적으로는 일사량이 많으면 높아지는 경향이었다. 장미 수액은 오전 9시 경부터 12시까지 흐름이 있었는데, 10시 30분에서 11시 사이에 273gㆍhr?¹이었는데 일사량에 비례하여 수액흐름이 증가하지는 않았다. 양액소모량은 250Wㆍhr?¹에서는 50㎖구에서 212.8㎖로 많았는데 수량도 154.6본/10a로 많아 양액소모량이 수량에 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다. 펄라이트 배지에서 양액공급량은 11월부터 3월에 200Wㆍhr?¹에서 50㎖를 1일 6~10회 급액하고 일사량이 많을 때는 250Wㆍhr?¹에서 30㎖를 1일 22~30회 급액하는 것이 좋을 것으로 생각된다. This study was carried out to find optimum accumulative solar radiation in 'Carnidal' of Perlite Media. The pH was stable from 6.0 to 6.7 during cultivation. Electric conductivity by drainage was higher water than by supply water and electric conductivity was increased at later. Inorganic compound, such as phosphoric, kalium and magnesium were accumulated in crossed system. Especially, kalium and magnesium were highly accumulated. When solar radiation high, consumption of the amount of nutrient solution were increased. Sap flew was 273 gㆍhr?¹ per hour from 10:30 to 11:00 AM. However there was no relationship between solar radiation and the mount of sap flew. When amount of solar radiation was 250 Wㆍhr?¹, cut rose 'Cardinal' nutrient consumption was 212.8 mL at nutrient supply of 50 mL. The yield of cut rose 'Cardinal' was 154.6 ea/10a in perlite media. In the cut rose 'Cardinal', nutrient solution was 50 mL as supplied at solar radiation of 200 Wㆍhr?¹ and nutrient solution was 30mL as supplied at solar radiation of 250 Wㆍhr?¹ at low solar radiation in perlite.

        비가족성 양성 재발성 간내 담즙울체증 1 예

        Benign recurrent intrahepatic cholestasis (BRIC) is a rare desease, which usually manifests between the age of 10 and 20. Its main clinical feature is multiple recurrent episodes of cholestasis without extrahepatic bile duct obstruction. We report here a case of nonfamilial benign recurrent intrahepatic cholestasis. The patient has experienced recurrent jaundice with pruritus since childhood. Main bile duct obstrution was excluded by abdominal CT and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. Other causes of cholestasis were not found. Hepatic histology revealed bile plug which were mainly concentrated in the centrilobular region, and increased number of mononuclear cells in the portal triad, but hepatic parenchyma showed no inflammation and necrosis. In the last anicteric period, she was healthy and the liver function test and biopsy specimen were normal. (Korean J Hepatol 1998;4:188 - 193)

        Effect of extraction conditions on chemical composition and antioxidant properties of mulberry fruit

        Mulberry fruit (Morus alba L.) contains phytochemicals, including 1-deoxynojirimycin, quercetinglucoside, kaempferol-glucoside, and anthocyanins, which have antioxidant effects. In this study, mulberry fruit extract was prepared at various temperatures (25-100℃) and water/ ethanol solvent concentrations (0%-100% ethanol). Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and circular dichroism (CD) data indicated that the content of bioactive compounds such as polyphenols and flavonoids was lower in 100% ethanolic extracts than in 30%-50% ethanolic extracts. Radical scavenging activity determined using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and 2,2'-azino-di-3-ethylbenzthiazoline sulfonic acid (ABTS) assays was highly correlated with polyphenol and flavonoid content. In conclusion, 30%-50% ethanolic extracts contained the highest contents of bioactive compounds and exhibited high levels of radical scavenging activity. These findings may inform the use of mulberry fruit extract as a functional food.

        Effects of silkworm and its by-products on muscle mass and exercise performance in ICR mice.

        In this study, we investigated the effect of silkworm, and its by-products on exercise endurance, muscle mass, and fatigue recovery using ICR mice model. Powders of silkworm, pupae, dongchunghacho, and silk powder were suspended in water and feed to mice for 2 weeks. The forced swimming time was increased by 4.3, 4.1 and 2.8 seconds after silkworm, pupae, and dongchughacho administration compared to DW fed group. Increases in exercise ability were achieved by difference mechanism according to feeding materials. Pupae increased muscle mass by 129% compared with the control group which may effect on elongation of swimming time. Dongchunghacho improved the plasma concentrations of fatigue markers such as creatinine, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), and D-lactate. Silkworm administration showed dual effect, the muscle mass induction (114% vs. control) and anti-fatigue (plasma creatinine, BUN, and D-lactate were 63, 75, and 78% vs. con) effect which contributed most elongated swimming time. In conclusion, silkworm and its by-products including pupae and dongchunghacho with the predominant protein and bioactive components improved muscle mass and showed anti-fatigue effect which could promote exercise performance ability.

      • Metalloid tellurium-doped graphene nanoplatelets as ultimately stable electrocatalysts for cobalt reduction reaction in dye-sensitized solar cells

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>One feasible alternative to Pt catalyst in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) is metalloid tellurium (Te)-doped graphene nanoplatelets (TeGnPs). These were prepared by ball-milling graphite in the presence of Te crystals. Introduction of Te at the edges of TeGnPs was confirmed with various analytical techniques including time of flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (TOF-SIMS). The resultant TeGnPs are herein evaluated as counter electrode (CE) materials for the cobalt reduction reaction (CRR) in DSSCs. TeGnP-CE exhibits much lower charge transfer resistance (<I>R</I> <SUB>ct</SUB>=0.15Ωcm<SUP>2</SUP>) than that (<I>R</I> <SUB>ct</SUB>=1.77Ωcm<SUP>2</SUP>) of Pt-CE. More importantly, TeGnP-CE displays an extreme electrochemical stability for the Co(bpy)<SUB>3</SUB> <SUP>2+/3+</SUP> (bpy=2,2'-bipyridine) redox couple even after 1000 potential cycles. The SM315-based DSSC fabricated with TeGnP-CE shows a better power conversion efficiency (PCE=11.58%) than that with Pt-CE (11.03%), suggesting that TeGnP-CE could be one of the best alternatives to Pt-CE in DSSCs.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Tellurium (Te)-doped graphene nanoplatelets (TeGnPs) was, for the first time, prepared by mechanochemical reaction. </LI> <LI> TeGnPs were tested as a material for counter electrode (CE) in dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC). </LI> <LI> TeGnPs showed much low charge transfer resistance, extreme electrochemical stability and high power conversion efficiency compared with conventional Pt-CE. </LI> <LI> The results suggested that TeGnPs can be one of the best alternatives to expensive Pt-CE. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>Tellurium-doped graphene nanoplatelets (TeGnPs) electrocatalysts for cobalt reduction reaction (CRR) in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) displayed much higher electrocatalytic activities with almost ‘zero-loss’ electrochemical stability than did Pt.</P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>
