A New Sesame Variety, “Kangbaek” with Disease Resistance, Lodging Tolerence and High Yield

A new sesame variety Kangbaek was developed from Yeongnam Agricultural Research Institute in 2004. Cros wasmade by lodging resistant SP9003-3 line to the F1with high yielding capacity, folowed by pedigree selection, yield test and RYT by the sesame breeding team at the National Insti-tute of Crop Science up to 2003. The variety showed higher disease resistance, especially phytophothra disease, and lodging resis-respectively. It's 1000 grains weight was about 2.54 g indicating 0.03 g heavier than that of Yangbaekkae, and it's oil content wasabout 52%. Kangbaek also contained total 7.65mg/g of such lignans as sesamin and sesamolin. The average yield of Kang-baek was 82 kg per 10a at the national-wide regional performance.
In vitro shoot proliferation of Alnus japonica (Thunberg) Steudel

In vitro proliferation system was achieved by using nodal segment excised from greenhouse grown juvenile stock plants of Alnus japonica. Stem explants were cultured on MS medium supplemented with different plant growth regulators of cytokinin and/or their combinations. The most effective cytokinin source was the combination of zeatin 2.0 mg/L and TDZ 0.05 mg/L producing the average number of shoots (16.8±3.6). In addition, healthy roots were formed after small clumps of shoots were transferred to half strength of MS medium containing IBA 0.02 mg/L with optimal rooting capacity. Soil acclimatization was successfully conducted in cell tray containing artificially mixed soil with 92 % survival rate.
Application of in vitro ovary culture for cottonwood (Populus deltoides) breeding

Five different poplar hybrids were tested for rescuing embryo to elongate in vitro plantiets after hybridization. Ovaries and ovules were cultured on Woody Plant Medium (WPM) supplemented with cytokinins, 6-benzylamine (BA) and zeatin. Multiple shoots were initiated from half section of capsule with immature embryos after 21 days from pollination and tiny shoots were formed after the expansion of cotyledons in ovule cultures. Germinating response was better in intraspecific hybrids (6.53±1.66) than interspecific crosses (0.93±0.54) 수식 이미지 from half section of capsules on WPM medium. In general, zeatin was better than BA in inducing multiple shoots from isolated ovules. The highest average number (19.40±4.53) of shoots was produced from immature ovules of 21 days post-pollination of WPM medium supplemented with 5.0 mg/L zeatin. The highest percentage of germination was 93% from the half section of in vitro ovary cultures. Soil acclimation was successfully conducted in cell tray containing artificially mixed soil with 96% survival rate.

The liquidus temperature was observed according to the change of content BaO 6 W/O ~ 12W/O and SrO 1 W/O~4W/O in R₂O-PbO-Al₂O₃- (BaO+SrO+SiO₂) glass system. The liquidus temperature varied between 810°C ~ 950°C in these glasses. The effect of BaO & SrO content to the liquidus temperature of the glasses are as follows. 1. The variation of the liquidus temperature were remarkable by the content of SrO in the range of BaO contents from 6 W/O to 8 W/O. 2. The minimum liquidus temperature is located at the composition of BaO 8 W/O SrO 4 W/O SiO₂ 68 W/O.

The efficiency of in vitro regeneration of four clones of Populus euramericana, Canada blanc, Eugenii, I-45/51, and Wisconsin #5, was examined. Cytokinins and the combinations with auxins affected the rate of regeneration from the explants of root segments, stem internodes, and leaf discs. Overall, BA and the combination with auxins were effective in root segments and leaf discs of the Canada blanc clone, whereas zeatin and the combination with auxins were important in stem internodes of the Wisconsin #5 clone. The highest number of shoots averaging 17.6 $\pm$ 0.47 from root segments in the Canada blanc clone,18.2 $\pm$ 3.0 from stem internodes in the Wisconsin #5 clone, and 17.8 $\pm$ 1.92 from leaf discs in the Canada blanc clone were obtained with 2.0 mg/1 BA, 2.0 mg/l zeatin combined with 0.2 mg/l IAA, and 0.5 mg/l BA combined with 0.05 mg/l 2,4-D, respectively. In particular, the addition of 2,4-D into cytokinin medium promoted shoot proliferation.
고속철도 역사시설 및 열차 서비스가 고객만족에 미치는 영향

본 연구의 목적은 고속철도 역사시설 및 열차서비스 전반에 관한 서비스 만족도를 측정하여 고객만족에 영향을 미치는 주요 서비스요인을 도출하고 그 관계를 밝히는 데 있다. 이를 위해 고속철도 이용객 202명을 대상으로 설문을 수행하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 역사 및 열차 관련 서비스에 관한 설문문항 63개 중, 주차관련서비스, 역사편의시설서비스, 유·무인 발권서비스, 열차 내 서비스, 열차 내 환경 등의 다섯 가지 주요 서비스요인이 도출되었다. 구조방정식모형을 통한 가설검증 결과, 주차관련 서비스는 열차 내 서비스에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않으며, 그 외 역사편의시설 및 발권서비스는 열차내 서비스 및 환경에 각각 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 선행요소로 나타났다. 또한 열차 내 서비스와 환경요인은 고객의 만족을 강화시키는 직접적이고 주요한 변수로 검증되었다. 따라서 역사시설 및 열차 서비스 경험이 고객만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 요인임을 알 수 있다. The purpose of this study is to investigate service factors and relationship affecting customer satisfaction by measuring the indexes of the entire high-speed railway station facilities and the train services. In this study, we collected data from 202 KTX passengers and analyzed it with structural equation model(SEM) method. Through exploratory factor analysis (EFA), we find five major service factors such as parking related service(PRS), station convenient facilities relate service(SCS), ticketing services(TIS), service within the train(SWT) and inner environments(INE). As result of hypothesis test, PRS does not influence SWT, whereas SCS and TIS positively affect train related service. Also SWT and INE significantly affect overall service satisfaction of customers. Thus our findings provide that station facilities and train service experience is important factors in order to enhance customer satisfaction.
