1. In the speed of wind, mean value was 3.6m/sec at Jeju-Do during the years 1970∼1979. Each value of wind speed at Jeju city and Seogwipo were 4.0m/sec and 3.4m/sec respectively. In consequence of topographical form of Halla Mt., the declination of wind speed between Jeju city and Seogipo was 1.4m/sec during the period from December to March. Each value at Jeju city and Seoguipo were 4.8m/sec and 3.4m/sec respetively. 2. The direction of wind was northwesterly wind at Jeju city in winter but it was not to be at Seoguipo due to topographical form of Halla Mt.

The K-edge absorption spectra of Fe and FeO are measured by X-ray absorption spectroscope Comparisons to theory are made for both the Fe and FeO data. We attempt to interpret origins of the spectral near-edge structure. For themetal Fe, We find agreement between the data and one-electron calculations. Peaks of near edge structure of FeO can not explain with one-electron transition model. For explanation of these peak, we find that the core-exciton and many-body effects must be taken into account. From the extended X-ray absorpticn fine structure (EXAFS), we determined distance to the nearest neighbour. The results agree with the value from the X-ray diffraction experiment.

The fusion cross sections induced by heavy-ions are formulated in detail in the basis of the customary barrier penetration model with the incoming wave boundary condition. The theory is applied to the ^12C+^16O system at low energies and explains well the observed fusion data as well as the elastic scattering.

CdIn_(2)0_(4) photoanodes of 1.0cm diameter and 2mm thickness were prepared by pressing the mixed powders of high purity CdO and In_(2)O_(3) with molar ratio 1.1. At 1,100℃, fied for 72 hours and at 800℃, annealed for 24 hours in O_(2) gas. The photoanode had both a high electrochemical stability m 1M Na_(2)HPO_(4), solution and a good photosenstivity. From their photalectrolysis, the flat band potential of the anode was -0.275 volt (V vs. SOE). The photovoltaic effect is observed in the wan-length range from 23Onm to 760nm and maximum photocurrent was 1.8mA/㎠ at 38Onm.

Colorimetric sensor has been prepared for easy and simple detection of metal ion in aqueous solution. Metallochromic dyes which change color when combining certain metal ion are introduced to prepare colorimetric sensors. In order to introduce dye into hydrogel, metallochromic dyes are modified to acrylic monomer using esterification reaction. Dye functionalized hydrogels are prepared in the forms of bulk and porous using dye functionalized monomer and processed to manufacture user-friendly sensing kit. Porous hydrogel shows faster detecting time than that of bulk. The color change of sensing kit could be confirmed according to concentration of each metal and be tabulated using sensing kit of porous type. Fast and efficiently metal ion detecting ability is expected using the proper data-process of colors.
