신체표현활동이 통합된 정보그림책읽기가 유아의 과학적 흥미도와 과학과정기술에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of Informational Picture Book Reading Integrated with Physical Expression Activities on Young Children`s Science Process Skills and Interest

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 유아교육현장에서 유아에게 제공되는 교육주제에 대한 안내 자료로 보편화되어있으며, 주제에 대한 개념 정립에 도움을 주는 책으로 인식되고 있는 정보그림책읽기가 신체표현활동과 통합되었을 때, 유아들의 과학적 흥미도와 과학과정기술에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고 유아 교육현장에 과학개념을 동작으로 표현해보는 교수-학습방법을 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 G시에 위치한 A어린이집과 B어린이집 만 5세반 유아 38명을 대상으로 이 중 A어린이집 유아 19명을 실험집단에 B어린이집 유아 19명을 비교집단에 임의로 배정하였다. 실험처치는 7주 동안 1주에 2회씩 총 14회에 걸쳐 이루어졌으며, 실험집단은 신체표현활동이 통합된 정보그림책 읽기를, 비교집단의 유아들에게는 동일한 정보그림책 읽기활동을 실시하였다. 자료의 처리는 실험, 비교집단의 사전 검사 점수를 공변인으로 하여 사후 검사 점수에 대해 공변량분석(ANCOVA)을 실시하였다. 그 결과 신체표현활동이 통합된 정보그림책읽기가 유아의 과학적 흥미도와 과학과정기술에 유의한 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 신체표현활동이 통합된 정보그림책읽기가 유아에게 의미 있고 효과적인 교수활동으로 유아교육현장에서 활용될 수 있음을 시사한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to discover whether informational picture book reading integrated with physical expression activities is effective or not on young children`s science process skills and interest. The areas studied are as follows. First, what is the effect of informational picture book reading integrated with physical expression activities on young children`s science process skills? Second, what is the effect of informational picture book reading integrated with physical expression activities on young children`s scientific interest? This study selected two 6-year-old classes of a kindergarten located in G, and randomly assigned 19 children to the experimental group and 19 to the comparison group. Children in the experimental group implemented the informational picture book reading integrated with physical expression activities, while those in the comparison group implemented reading activities using informational picture books like the experimental group`s theme. Experimental treatment was conducted for 7 weeks, twice a week, 14 times in total. The study results are: First, the result of verifying the difference between two groups, the experimental group with implementing the informational picture book reading integrated with physical expression activities showed significantly higher marks in terms of scientific interest, than the comparison group. Second, the result of verifying the difference between the two groups, the experimental group with implementing the informational picture book reading integrated with physical expression activities showed significantly higher marks in terms of science process skills, than the comparison group.
