유아의 놀이성이 음악적 성향과 음악적성에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of Playfulness on Musical Character and Aptitude of Young Children

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigated the effects of playfulness on musical character and musical aptitude of young children. The subjects were 179 three- to five-year-olds in Seoul and Kyeonggi-do. Data were analyzed by Pearson’s Correlation, ANOVA, t-test and regression.
The results of this study were as follows:First, old children were more developed than young children in playfulness, musical character and aptitude. Second, young children’s playfulness, musical character and aptitude had statistically significant correlations with their musical character and aptitude. Third, the result of regression analysis showed that young children’s playfulness and sex directly had a significant effect on musical character. Fourth, the result of regression analysis showed that young children’s age and playfulness directly had a significant effect on tonal and rhythmic ability of musical aptitude.
The results suggested that music activity-centered playfulness can develop young children’s musical character and aptitude.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 자발성, 즐거움과 유머감각이 나타나는 놀이의 특성을 유아의 음악성, 특히 음악적 성향과 음악적성을 예측하는 하나의 변인으로 간주하여 유아의 놀이성이 유아의 음악적 성향과 음악적성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 서울시와 경기도에 위치한 유아교육기관 만 3～5세 유아 179명이었다.
연구결과 유아의 연령이 높을수록 놀이성, 음악적 성향, 음악적성이 높게 나타났다. 놀이성과 음악적성에서 성차가 나타나지 않았으나, 음악적 성향에서는 여자유아가 남자유아보다 높게 나타났다. 유아의 놀이성, 음악적 성향과 음악적성 대부분의 변인에서 정적 상관관계가 나타났다. 그리고 유아의 성과 놀이성은 음악적 성향에 유의한 영향을 미쳤고, 유아의 연령과 놀이성은 음악적성에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 유아의 놀이성이 많이 나타날 수 있는 음악활동을 제공한다면 유아의 음악적 성향과 음악적성을 향상시킬 수 있음을 시사한다.
