As preparing step of protoplast fusion between Streptomyces platensis and S.peucetius. we studied on UV mutation in search for S.platensis with auxotroph marker. And we also carried on experiments to select modified strain of S.platensis. Although we couldn't get the auxotroph, we obtained a new morphological strain of S.platensis.
고 순도 Rhodium중의 불순물 Iridium의 정량

Activation analysis of iridium in pure rhodium metal has been carried out by Korean research Reactor, TRIGAMARK Ⅱ(250KW). Even the high purity rhodium metals are standardized spectrographically (ie. shec pure metals), iridium impurity was easily found and determined without any tedeous process by using nuclear reaction ^103Rh(n.γ.) ^104Rh and ^191Ir(n.γ.) ^192Ir. Iridium impurity fond in Rh meta was 2.86ppm.
Perkin 反應法 및 Knoevenagel 反應法에 依한 Cinnamic Acid 合成에 관한 硏究

Perki's and Knoevenagel reactions have been known of the Synthesis of Cinnamic acid. The former is method from acetic anhydride and the latter method from malonic acid. In this paper, the yield from two methods have been observed.
校庭花의 Anthocyan 含量과 Vitamin C 및 glutathione의 含量과의 관계

The various colors of flowers, fruits, leafs, stems, radixes, and seed coats were studied by the concentration of glycoside Anthocyan. concentrations of Vitamin C and glutathione in many flowers having various colors with Anthocyan were determinated in order to examine the relation between these compounds and coloration with Anthocyan in flowers. Flowers in seven species, i.e Canna generalis Baily, Rosa. Chinensis, Hibiscus syriacus Line, Dahlia pinnata Cav. Platycodon glaucum Nakai, Salvia nipponica Mig. and Callistephus chinensis were selected for experimental materials and those flowers were classified into several color groups by the fifty nine standard color table. The results indicated that Anthocyan was much more contained in flowers with deep coloration than in those with light coloration and Vitamine C was generally much more contained in flowers of deep coloration , rich with anthocyan than those containing no anthocyan.

In 1968, Katsumata. K. reported that drinking alcohol brought hypoglycemia and lowering of glucose metablism. In 1963, Frinkel N. & Singe D.L etc. reported that drinking alcohol when take low calory and be on the hunger result in alcohol hypoglycemia. Recently, it was the theory of hyperglycemia that glycogenesis inhibited and gluconeogensis be accelerate if one take the alcohol for a long time. Because of the many fact, lowering of glucose metabolism is caused by drinking alcohol. Therefore we examined glucose tolerance test and Insuline tolerance test and compared with glucose in blood of alcohol rabbit and control rabbit. A a result of the examination, it was a patent fact that alcohol rabbit resulted in depression of glucose metabolism compared with control rabbit. The endocrine organs were secreting hormones what related to carbohydrate metabllism would be bad for the health. It was a possibility that the rarious disease is brought about by depression of carbohydrate metabolism.
비오염지대와 오염지대 은행나무잎의 납 오염에 관한 연구

The appearance of atmospheric pollution and the increase of traffic volume are very important problems of our daily life. It has made an attempt to experiment the degree of pollution of lead in non-contaminated zone-our university, contaminated Shinchon rotary. It has been choosed ginkgo leaves as samples. 1) It has been known that Shinchon and our university had much differences in pollution degree. 2) In non-contaminated zone, there were difference between more contaminated and less contaminated region. 3) In the experiment of washing and dipping in demineralized water, it's decreasing rate is not large. Probably lead is absorbed in cell-tissues.

Korean Pohang Bentonite was of no utility value, because its physical and chemical properties is inferior to bentonite in k.p. So, in this study, it had been made what is called Na-bentonite that 2%-pH of emulsion, swelling, powder degree and formation of gel is increased by physical and chemical treatment. Na-Bentonite is made use of the field of pharmacology by emulsifying agent, stability agent.
