The microemulsion formulation (hereafter formulation) of curcuma oil and its acaricidal efficacy against Tetranychus cinnabarinus Boisduval (Acari: Tetranychidae) were optimized in the laboratory to evaluate their spray effectiveness of oviposition inhibition and repellence. Ethovision XT6 was used to analyse the effects of the sublethal concentrations (LC 20 ) of curcuma oil and the formulation on the behaviors of T. cinnabarinus. The results showed that Tween-80 was the best surfactant, Isopropanol was the best co-surfactant and K m = 2:1 was the best condition for the formulation. The prepared microemulsions are stable under conditions of centrifugation and incubation for extended periods. The results showed that the effect of the spray bioassays of the formulation against T. cinnabarinus continuously increased during the experiment, but for curcuma oil almost no longer increase observed when the exposure time went beyond 24 h. Moreover, compared with curcuma oil (LC 50 = 0.716%), the spray bioassay of the formulation (LC 50 = 0.035%) was stronger against T. cinnabarinus. The repellency of the formulation to T. cinnabarinus was stronger with increasing exposure time, but that of curcuma oil declined after 12 h of exposure. The mobile distance of T. cinnabarinus treated with the formulation continuously declined during the experiment but that due to the curcuma oil almost no longer declined when the treatment time reached 12 h. The maximum mobile frequency of T. cinnabarinus treated by curcuma oil and the formulation was recorded at 6 h and 12 h, respectively. Thus, the formulation is a promising candidate as a botanical acaricide of green vegetables.

Objective: To investigate whether apoptin is a apoptosis-inducing protein with a potential for bladder cancer therapy. Methods: We constructed a PCDNA3/Apoptin eukaryotic expression vector, and transfected this vector into bladder cancer cell lines BIU-87 and EJ, then observed the results by RT-PCR, transmission electron microscopy, MTT assay and the flow cytometry (TUNEL method). Results: PCDNA3/Apoptin successfully induced a high level apoptosis in both bladder cancer cell lines, compared with the controls (p<0.05). Conclusions: Apoptin can induce high level apoptosis in human bladder cancer EJ and BIU-87 cells, which suggests a potential for human bladder cancer therapy.
PointMS: Semantic Segmentation for Point Cloud Based on Multi-scale Directional Convolution
Hui Chen,Wanlou Chen,Yipeng Zuo,Peng Xu,Zhonghua Hao 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2022 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.20 No.10
In the field of point cloud scene segmentation with deep learning, the ability of the network to extract spatial structure information limits the performance of semantic segmentation. This work proposes a novel framework named PointMS, which handles the semantic segmentation of point cloud scene, to solve the problem of missing local feature information due to the lack of spatial structure information on the training stage. The structure of framework utilizes spatial structure information of point cloud and balances the extraction of global feature and subtle feature when processing point cloud data. Firstly, a multi-scale combination module (SIFT-MS) is used to extract local features of different scales for enhancing the perception of local structure information at each point. Secondly, the process of feature transmission often leads to the loss of information, so a feature supplement module (FSM) is proposed to complete the information lost after feature transformation through the effective combination of global feature and subtle feature. This module integrates the features of different locations to supplement the information lost in feature conversion. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed framework is efficient for semantic segmentation of S3DIS dataset. SIFT-MS module and FSM module can effectively improve the performance of the semantic segmentation model of point cloud.

Insulin-responsive glucose transporter 4 (GLUT4) is a member of the glucose transporter family and mainly presents in skeletal muscle and adipose tissue. To clarify the molecular structure of porcine GLUT4, RACE was used to clone its cDNA. Several cDNA clones corresponding to different regions of GLUT4 were obtained by amplifying reverse-transcriptase products of total RNA extracted from Landrace porcine skeletal muscles. Nucleotide sequence analysis of the cDNA clones revealed that porcine GLUT4 cDNA was composed of 2,491 base pairs with a coding region of 509 amino acids. The deduced amino acid sequence was over 90% identical to human, rabbit and cattle GLUT4. The tissue distribution of GLUT4 was also examined by Real-time RT-PCR. The mRNA expression abundance of GLUT4 was heart>liver, skeletal muscle and brain>lung, kidney and intestine. The developmental expression of GLUT4 and insulin receptor (IR) was also examined by Real-time RT-PCR using total RNA extracted from longissimus dorsi (LM), semimembranosus (SM), and semitendinosus (SD) muscle of Landrace at the age of 1, 7, 30, 60 and 90 d. It was shown that there was significant difference in the mRNA expression level of GLUT4 in skeletal muscles of Landrace at different ages (p<0.05). The mRNA expression level of IR also showed significant difference at different ages (p<0.05). The developmental change in the mRNA expression abundance of GLUT4 was similar to that in IR, and both showed a higher level at birth and 30 d than at other ages. However, there was no significant tissue difference in the mRNA expression of GLUT4 or IR (p>0.05). These results showed that the nucleotide sequence of the cDNA clones was highly identical with human, rabbit and cattle GLUT4 and the developmental change of GLUT4 mRNA in skeletal muscles was similar to that of IR, suggesting that porcine GLUT4 might be an insulin-responsive glucose transporter. Moreover, the tissue distribution of GLUT4 mRNA showed that GLUT4 might be an important nutritional transporter in porcine skeletal muscles.

Glucose is the main energy source for mammalian cells and its absorption is co-mediated by two different families of glucose transporters, sodium/glucose co-transporters (SGLTs) and facilitative glucose transporters (GLUTs). Here, we report the cloning and tissue distribution of porcine GLUT2. The GLUT2 was cloned by RACE and its cDNA was 2,051 bp long (GenBank accession no. EF140874). An AAATAA consensus sequence at nucleotide positions 1936-1941 was located upstream of the poly $(A)^+$ tail. Open reading frame analysis suggested that porcine GLUT2 contained 524 amino acids, with molecular weight of 57 kDa. The amino acid sequence of porcine GLUT2 was 87% and 79.4% identical with human and mouse GLUT2, respectively. GLUT2 mRNA was detected at highest level in porcine liver, at moderate levels in the small intestine and kidney, and at low levels in the brain, lung, muscle and heart. In the small intestine, the highest level was in the jejunum. In conclusion, the mRNA expression of GLUT2 was not only differentially regulated by age, but also differentially distributed along the small intestine of piglets, which may be related to availability of different intestinal luminal substrate concentrations resulting from different food sources and digestibility.

The structural, magnetic, dielectric and optical properties of Aurivillius Bi6Fe2Ti3O18-based ceramics were investigated in detail. The replacement of Co for Fe/Ti ions obviously varies the grain morphology. Compared with Bi6Fe2Ti3O18 (BFTO) with antiferromagnetic ordering, a spin glass state can be observed in Bi5.25La0.75Fe2Ti3O18 ceramic, while other samples exhibit the ferromagnetic behavior. The specimen Bi6Fe2Ti2(NbCo)0.5O18 (BFTNCO) represents the largest remanent magnetization Mr of 0.93emu/g among all the samples, which can be attributed to the combination of a short lattice parameter c and a large lattice distortion as well as more magnetic ions in a unit cell. The room-temperature dc conductivity of BFTNCO is one order magnitude lower than that of BFTO. In addition, the band gaps of Co-doped samples are about 0.2eV smaller than these of Co-free samples. This work provides a promising path forward to tailor the multiferroic and optical properties in five-layered Aurivillius compounds.

Rapid and accurate detection of internal defects in bridges has always been a major concern of the management and maintenance departments. In the present study, an intelligent method for the detection of structural internal defects is proposed based on infrared thermography and deep learning. Through theoretical analysis, numerical simulations and laboratory experiments, the classification, localization and quantification of internal defects of concrete structures were achieved with the infrared thermography and deep learning method. The mean average precision for classification and localization of internal defects is 96.59%, the mIoU for pixel-level segmentation is 95.19%, and the average relative error for damage quantification is 0.70%. The feasibility of the trained model is verified with new images, and the results show that the trained model can capture infrared thermal features of internal defects with different sizes and depths. This method has the advantages of low cost, high accuracy, easy operation, and large area scanning of concrete structures, which can provide a good reference for the detection of internal defects of concrete structures.

One-step synthesis of acrylates from acetates and trioxane via aldol reaction at 623 K–653 K was reported. But proceeding this process at room temperature is still a challenge due to ester activation and trioxane decomposition. Herein, series of acrylates were firstly achieved, with the one-step and in-situ catalytic strategy, from acetates (or propionates) and trioxane at 293 K. Selectivity of product reaches up to 94.4% with a 80.8% yield. 1H NMR confirmed the soft enolization of ester, the decomposition of trioxane was catalyzed by TMSOTf, and the generated ionic liquid has catalytic performance on aldol condensation step.
