        한국어 학술지 논문 초록의 헤지 표현 및 부스터 표현 사용 양상 연구

        The present study aims at investigating the use of hedges and boosters in Korean research article abstracts of five academic disciplines. Hedges and boosters are linguistic forms that encode the uncertainty and the definite attitude of the writer or speaker. These expressions do not contribute to the composition of the propositional contents in academic discourse, but they are linguistic devices that express the epistemic stance of the writer or the speaker. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, a corpus was constructed by selecting 40 abstracts in each academic field, and the use of hedges and boosters was analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. Based on the analysis results, the pedagogical implications of writing abstracts were discussed. Firstly, Korean learners for academic purposes should understand the interpersonality in the abstracts of research articles. Secondly, the differences in the use of hedges and boosters between different disciplines should be taken into account in teaching research article abstract writing. Lastly, it is necessary to teach different linguistic forms of hedges and boosters, and the locations where they are used in the abstract moves. (Sun Yat-sen University)

        Apatinib as a Third-Line Treatment for HER2-Positive Metastatic Gastric Cancer: A Multi-Center Single-Arm Cohort Study

        Purpose: Treatment options are limited after the failure of first-and second-line treatments in patients with HER2<sup>+</sup> metastatic gastric cancer (mGC). The present study aimed to explore the efficacy, safety, and prognostic factors of apatinib efficacy as a third-line therapy for patients with human epithelial growth factor receptor 2-positive (HER2<sup>+</sup>) mGC. Materials and Methods: A total of 59 HER2<sup>+</sup> mGC patients who received apatinib as third-line therapy were retrospectively enrolled in this two-center, single-arm, cohort study; the clinical response, survival data, and adverse events were retrieved. Results: The median progression-free survival (PFS) was 5.2 months (95% confidence interval [CI], 3.9-6.5), and the median overall survival (OS) was 8.2 months (95% CI, 6.6-9.8) Furthermore, forward stepwise multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that a higher Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status score and multiple metastases were independently correlated with decreased PFS and OS (both P<0.05). The main adverse events were leukopenia (45.8%), hypertension (44.1%), thrombocytopenia (39.0%), hand-foot syndrome (37.3%), and elevated transaminase (33.9%). Grade 3 adverse events mainly included hypertension (5.1%) and neutropenia (5.1%); grade 4 adverse events did not occur. Conclusions: Apatinib is efficient and well tolerated in patients with HER2<sup>+</sup> mGC as a third-line treatment, suggesting that it may be a candidate of choice for these patients.

        Research on the explosion release method and damage mechanism of titanium alloy fan blade

        The current advanced aero-engine fan rotors are usually integrally-bladed rotor discs, and the root of the fan blade has irregular curved surface, which brings technical difficulties and challenges to achieve the blade releasing. In this paper, the dynamic response and energy dissipation process of the titanium alloy blade under shaped charge jet explosion were analyzed by numerical model, and the explosion damage mechanism of titanium alloy fan blades was clarified. Finally, a FBO test was conducted to verify the blade explosion release method in rotating state. Through the energy dissipation analysis of the whole explosion process, it can be seen that the overall residual kinetic energy of the blade is about 15.7 J, which is only 0.02 % of the initial kinetic energy of the releasing blade in rotating. It is indicated that the explosion separation method will not generate additional kinetic energy to the released blade.

        한국어 학술텍스트의 부스터 표현 사용 양상 연구 -인문계열과 사회계열의 비교를 중심으로-

        Boosters have not received enough attention in the field of Korean language education even though they are important linguistic devices that convey interpersonal meanings just as hedges in academic discourse. In addition, Korean academic discourse education in terms of the pragmatic aspect is important and desperately needed. Therefore, this study conducted a fundamental study focusing on boosters. First, the concept of boosters was defined by reviewing previous studies on boosters. Based on the theoretical background, boosters used in 20 research articles from five disciplines-History, Korean Language and Literature, Psychology, Sociology, Journalism-were examined quantitatively as well as qualitatively. Finally, the pedagogical implications that can be provided for Korean language education were discussed. (Sun Yat-sen University)

        White-light crosslinkable milk protein bioadhesive with ultrafast gelation for first-aid wound treatment

        Background : Post-traumatic massive hemorrhage demands immediately available first-aid supplies with reduced operation time and good surgical compliance. In-situ crosslinking gels that are flexibly adapting to the wound shape have a promising potential, but it is still hard to achieve fast gelation, on-demand adhesion, and wide feasibility at the same time. Methods : A white-light crosslinkable natural milk-derived casein hydrogel bioadhesive is presented for the first time. Benefiting from abundant tyrosine residues, casein hydrogel bioadhesive was synthesized by forming di-tyrosine bonds under white light with a ruthenium-based catalyst. We firstly optimized the concentration of proteins and initiators to achieve faster gelation and higher mechanical strength. Then, we examined the degradation, cytotoxicity, tissue adhesion, hemostasis, and wound healing ability of the casein hydrogels to study their potential to be used as bioadhesives. Result : Rapid gelation of casein hydrogel is initiated with an outdoor flashlight, a cellphone flashlight, or an endoscopy lamp, which facilitates its usage during first-aid and minimally invasive operations. The rapid gelation enables 3D printing of the casein hydrogel and excellent hemostasis even during liver hemorrhage due to section injury. The covalent binding between casein and tissue enables robust adhesion which can withstand more than 180 mmHg blood pressure. Moreover, the casein-based hydrogel can facilitate post-traumatic wound healing caused by trauma due to its biocompatibility. Conclusion : Casein-based bioadhesives developed in this study pave a way for broad and practical application in emergency wound management.

        Mir-326 potentiates radiosensitivity of cervical squamous cell carcinoma through downregulating SMO expression in the Hedgehog signaling pathway

        Background: Radiotherapy resistance affects the therapeutic effect of cervical squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC). Smoothened (Smo) is an anticancer target of the Hedgehog (Hh) pathway and its mutation is related to drug resistance. Objective: To explore the roles of miR-326 and Smoothened (SMO) on radiation resistance in patients with cervical carcinoma. Methods: Expression of miR-326 and SMO in cervical cancer tissue and radioresistant cell lines were analyzed. The radiation response with the expression of miR-326 was evaluated in tissue and cells. Bioinformatics analysis and literature review were performed to explore the target of miR-326. The regulation of miR-326 to SMO mRNA was verified through the dual-luciferase reporter assay. Results: Patients with poor radiation response have lower miR-326 and higher SMO expression. Upregulation of miR-326 decreased SMO expression and its downstream proteins but does not affect the proliferation of CSCC cells. The upregulation of miR-326 increased radiation sensitivity of the CSCC cell through downregulating SMO and its downstream proteins in the Hedgehog (Hh) signaling pathway. Conclusions: miR-326 may predict the treatment response to radiation, and upregulating miR-326 may improve the treatment response to radiation.

        Sampled-data-based Event-triggered Control for Multi-agent Systems under Antagonistic Interactions

        In this paper, the leaderless consensus problem is considered for multi-agent systems under antagonistic interactions. Based on the sampled data, we propose an event-triggered mechanism to determine when the current state should be transmitted. This mechanism inherits the merits of both periodic and event-triggered transmission ways, thus reducing the energy consumption. Then, an event-triggered protocol is designed in a fully distributed manner to guarantee the consensus with the same magnitude but opposite sign. Different from the existing results, the designed protocol is implemented for a general digraph containing a spanning tree, and there is no restriction on the sampling period. Finally, the achievement of consensus and the validity of the obtained protocol are demonstrated by simulations.

        Experimental Study on Structural Performance of Cast-in-Place Frame Printed Concrete Wall

        A growing number of nations and regions have printed concrete structures thanks to the application of 3D printing technology in the field of civil engineering. However, the houses built with printed concrete are mostly printed concrete wall structures with composite load-bearing walls and cast-in-place frames. This structure solely takes into account the performance of the structure under vertical loads, which does not address its ability to withstand horizontal loads. In this paper, wall specimens were designed and tested under horizontal reciprocal loads in order to investigate the structural performance of this cast-in-place border-frame printed concrete wall structure under horizontal loads. Four factors are examined in order to determine how well the cast-in-place frame printed concrete wall structure performs when subjected to horizontal loads: column longitudinal reinforcement strain, hysteresis curve, skeleton curve, and energy dissipation capacity. According to the test results, the addition of the wall increased the bearing capacity and accumulated energy dissipation of the specimen, but the increase in stiffness also caused the structural ductility to decrease. As a result, cracks were more likely to generate at the wall–column joints, so the stiffness matching between the printed concrete wall and the cast-in-place side frame needed to be further coordinated to obtain a higher ductility. It turns out that the wall sections have little impact on the seismic performance of the members.

        Cholesteryl naphthalimide-based gelators: Their applications in the multiply visual sensing of CO<sub>2</sub> based on an anion-induced strategy

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Several cholesteryl naphthalimide-derived compounds have been sythesized and developed as CO<SUB>2</SUB> sensors. The derivatives, incorporating ether chains, were found to be capable of gelating various organic solvents, due to the modulation of the hydrophilicity/hydrophobility properties of them. The resulting organogels were well characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), FT-IR spectroscopy, concentration- and temperature-dependent <SUP>1</SUP>H NMR spectra, and powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD). These gelators can be applied as fluorescent sensors for CO<SUB>2</SUB> in DMSO solutions via the anion-triggered strategy. Furthermore, the resulting organogelation systems in DMSO could also provide visual sensing means for CO<SUB>2</SUB> via the reversible solution-to-gel transition. Particularly, the re-gelation of DMSO induced by CO<SUB>2</SUB> bubbling could be directly observed without the aid of the heating-and-cooling operation. And the reversible sensing process could be repeated several times with the excellent chemical stability of the gelation system after the repeated stimuli of fluoride anion, CO<SUB>2</SUB> and N<SUB>2</SUB> with heating.
