        Studies on Correlation of Chemical Composition of Jasmine Tea, with establishment of Multiple Linear Regression Equations for Sensory Quality

        The relationships among the concentrations of chemical compositions, scores of sensory quality and price were studied based on 112 jasmine tea samples. Linear correlation analysis showed that 5 quality attributes (appearance, liquor color, aroma, taste and infused leaves) were positively correlated with each other and to the sum. 5 quality attributes and total quality score were logarithm relevant to price with the coefficients of determination R2 were 0.855, 0.667, 0.836, 0.900, 0.906 and 0.914. The six taste attributes could be grossly divided into two groups. Tenderness, sweetness, freshness and mellowness were grouped showing positive correlation with taste score, total quality score and price, while heaviness and thickness were grouped for opposite correlation. There were positive correlation within the same group and negative correlation between two different groups. The concentrations of polyphenols, amino acid, water extract, gallocatechin (GC), epigallocatechin (EGC), catechin (C), epicatechin (EC), epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), gallocatechin gallate (GCG) and epicatechin gallate (ECG) in tea infusions were negatively correlated with tenderness, sweetness, freshness, mellowness, taste score, total quality score and price but positively correlated with heaviness and thickness (except some individual components), while gallic acid (GA) was the opposite. Multiple linear regression equations of taste score and total quality score were established. The back substitution was of high correlation between predicted and actual value and acceptance rate was over 90%.         Efficient hole injection in blue organic light-emitting devices by using a double hole injection layer to improve chromaticity and electrical characteristics

        A double hole injection layer consisting of Ag_2O//MoO_x was applied to a 4,40-bis (2,2-diphenylvinyl)-1,10-biphenyl-based blue organic light-emitting device (OLED). The hole current injection of the devicewas improved and the performance of the blue OLED was enhanced. We have observed that the insertion of such double layer leads to a striking improvement in chromaticity and electrical characteristics. This device showed much better chromaticity and less current-induced color shift as compared to the corresponding single hole injection layer counterparts. Using this strategy, a striking improvement in the electrical properties with lower driving voltage, higher power efficiency and a weak current-induced fluorescence quenching was achieved. This could be explained by the fact that an interlayer of Ag_2O//MoO_x provided a stepped energy level which greatly facilitated hole injection and hence enhanced injection current. The result is verified by using the J―V curves of ‘only’ devices and further explained with the help of Fowler-Nordheim (F-N) tunneling theory.

        A high performance of BPhen-based white organic light-emitting devices with a dual-emitting layer and its electroluminescent spectral property

        This work demonstrated the fabrication of white organic light-emitting devices (WOLEDs) using a dual emitting layer (d-EML) consisting of blue and ‘white’ emitters. In this d-EML system, the blue emitter not only emits but also assists the incomplete energy transfer. More importantly, it behaves as an effective trapping site for holes, which contributes to the efficient recombination of electron–hole pairs. The d-EML was constructed between the hole-transmitting layer (HTL) and the electron-transmitting layer (ETL) of Alq3 and BPhen. The thickness of the blue emitter used in the d-EML devices has an important effect on chromaticity and efficiency. Through the optimization of device structure, the reasonable white emission with Commission Internationale de L’Eclairage (CIE) color coordinates of (0.33, 0.33) and little color shift was obtained. The device showed an applicable luminance with its maximum luminance of 22,874 cd/m2 at a driving voltage of 16 V. The maximum luminance efficiency was achieved 8.10 cd/A,and the maximum power efficiency was reached 5.07 Lm/W. The result is explained with the help of the excitons generation and diffusion theory. According to the theory of excitons generation and diffusion,an equation has been set up which concerns electroluminescent spectra to the thickness of the two emitters and to the exciton diffusion length.

      • A Single Chord Localization Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks

        This paper presents a novel range-free single chord localization algorithm with low energy consumption and high accuracy for wireless sensor networks. A mobile anchor node and a mobile reference node are employed to periodically broadcast beacon messages and reference messages, respectively. Each sensor node is equipped with a received signal strength indicator for comparing the signal strength. By using the edge function and the result of comparing signal strength, each sensor node only needs one chord on the communication circle for localization. Compared with previous approaches that require multiple chords, less beacon messages are required by the sensor nodes. In the proposed algorithm, the localization error mainly depends on the move distance interval. However, for the other approaches, large localization errors can be observed according to the angle between chords which may descend the localization accuracy dramatically. Analysis results indicate that the proposed algorithm is superior to other approaches in energy consumption and localization accuracy.

        SiOx interlayer to enhance the performance of InGaZnO-TFT with AlOx gate insulator

        We have fabricated indium-gallium-zinc (IGZO) thin film transistor (TFT) using SiOx interlayer modified aluminum oxide (AlOx) film as the gate insulator and investigated their electrical characteristics and bias voltage stress. Compared with IGZO-TFT with AlOx insulator, IGZO-TFT with AlOx/SiOx insulator shows superior performance and better bias stability. The saturation mobility increases from 5.6 cm2/V s to 7.8 cm2/V s, the threshold voltage downshifts from 9.5 V to 3.3 V, and the contact resistance reduces from 132 Ucm to 91 Ucm. The performance improvement is attributed to the following reasons: (1) the introduction of SiOx interlayer improves the insulator surface properties and leads to the high quality IGZO film and low trap density of IGZO/insulator interface. (2) The better interface between the channel and S/D electrodes is favorable to reduce the contact resistance of IGZO-TFT.

        The Molecular Characterization of Serogroup C Neisseria meningitidis Strains Circulating in Beijing

        The aim of this study was to characterize the molecular features of serogroup C Neisseria meningitidis strains circulating in Beijing, China. Twenty out of 23 strains belonged to ST 4821. The causative serosubtype for meningococcal meningitis was P1.12-1,16-8. All of the strains expressed class 3 PorB protein. Among the five pulsed-field gel electrophoresis patterns observed, pattern III predominated.

        Laboratory Confirmation of A Suspicious Meningococcal Meningitis Death Case

        A suspicious meningococcal meningitis death case was reported to the Beijing CDC. The blood specimen was analyzed via multi-PCR and MLST. 6 isolates from close contacts were analyzed via PFGE and MLST. According to the results of the above analyses, the cause of this case was identified as a serogroup A Neisseria meningitidis, which, in terms of sequence typing, belonged the ST7 group.

        Efficacy and safety of olmesartan medoxomil/amlodipine fixed-dose combination for hypertensive patients uncontrolled with monotherapy

        This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy andsafety of olmesartan medoxomil (OM)/amlodipine (AML)20/5 mg fixed-dose combination tablet in Chinese mild tomoderately hypertensive patients with inadequate bloodpressure (BP) control on monotherapy. Two multicenter,randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, active-controlled,parallel group clinical trials were conducted. Afterscreening and a 2-week placebo run-in period, patients with95 mmHg B seated diastolic blood pressure (SeDBP) \110 mmHg received monotherapy with OM 20 mg (inStudy 1) or AML 5 mg (in Study 2), once daily for4 weeks. Patients with 90 mmHg B mean SeDBP \110 mmHg at the end of the monotherapy period wererandomized to receive OM/AML 20/5 mg treatment orcontinue with the monotherapy, once daily for 8 weeks. OM/AML (20/5 mg) treatment significantly lowered bothsystolic and diastolic BP at 4 and 8 weeks compared to40 mg olmesartan or 5 mg AML. The incidence of drugrelatedadverse effects did not differ significantly betweenthe groups. OM/AML 20/5 mg was superior to OM 40 mgor AML 5 mg monotherapy in lowering BP in Chinesemild to moderately hypertensive patients with inadequateBP control on monotherapy. No new or unexpected safetyissues were identified with OM/AML combination therapycompared to monotherapy.
