We successfully deposited hexagonal wurtzite Mg (x) Zn1-x O (0 a parts per thousand currency sign x a parts per thousand currency sign 0.18) films on Si substrates by using RF magnetron co-sputtering with ZnO and Mg0.3Zn0.7O targets. The Mg content was varied by controlling the RF power of the Mg0.3Zn0.7O target while the RF power of the ZnO target was fixed at 100 W. The electrical properties of the Mg (x) Zn1-x O films were investigated by using a transmission line model (TLM) with Ti/Au electrode and Hall effect measurements. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) results demonstrate that some Zn atoms can be replaced by Mg atoms in the Mg (x) Zn1-x O films. As the Mg content was increased from 0 at.% to 18 at.%, the resistivity of Mg (x) Zn1-x O films increased and the carrier concentration decreased from 1.17 x 10(19) cm(-3) to 1.17 x 10(17) cm(-3), which indicates a decrease in the number of oxygen vacancies. Meanwhile, the Hall mobility increased to 15.3 cm(2)/Vs. The electrical properties of Mg (x) Zn1-x O films were tuned by using the Mg content.

Excited states of 113In have been populated through the heavy-ion fusion evaporation reaction 110Pd(7Li, 4n)113In. A new band with the configuration of a proton d5/2 orbital is identified. Two ΔI = 2 intruder bands, built on the πh11/2 and the πg7/2 orbitals, have been extended to spins (63/2-)ħ and (55/2+)ħ, respectively. The negative-parity πh11/2 intruder band shows a smooth increase in aligned spin, which is attributed to a strong proton-neutron interaction. The properties of the positive-parity πg7/2 band are discussed based on tilted axis cranking model calculations, and the features of the antimagnetic rotation for this band are shown after backbend. Furthermore, the contributions of the two-shears-like mechanism, the neutron (gd)ν shell and the core rotation are investigated for the positive-parity πg7/2 band.

Cation exchange resins (CERs) are widely applied to purify waste liquids generated during the operationof nuclear reactors. The radioactive nuclides 60Co and 58Co are important corrosion activation products inreactor cooling water. In this study, the simulated Co doped CERs were oxidized with ternary carbonate. According to the thermogravimetric analysis (TG), the decomposition of Co doped CERs includes threeprocesses: 1. Elimination of the osmotic water; 2. Pyrolysis of sulfonic acid group; 3. Destruction of styrene–divinylbenzene copolymer. The X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) patterns indicate that sulfur mainly exists inthe form of sulfate in waste salt. The Co2+ undergoes the path of CoS2 ? Co3O4 with the increase of temperatureand the transition point is 650 C. Combined with Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR)spectra and X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) analysis, sulfonic acid groups begin to decomposeat 350 C. During the molten salt oxidation process, most of the sulfur in sulfonic acid groups is entrappedby carbonate as the form of sulfate, and a little of which remains as sulfone group, sulfoxide group andsulfur bridge in residue. When the resins are oxidized at 800 C, the retention rate of Co2+ is 97.3%, indicatingthat the molten salt oxidation can effectively remain Co2+ and convert it into a more stablesubstance.

This paper investigates eddy-current in an axial flux permanent magnet (AFPM) machine, which consist of the segmented stator teeth and concentrated winding, with one inner rotor and double stators. Analytical methods was developed to calculate the eddy-current loss of PMs and other solid components, including effect of winding harmonics and permeance variation due to slot opening. Eddy-current losses were analyzed by time-stepping three dimensional finite element analysis (3D FEA) in two rotor models, when magnets are insulated or noninsulated. A prototype machine was manufactured based on analysis results, and was tested as a generator. It is found that rotor stainless PM holder should be used in order to reduce eddy-currents and insulation of PMs further reduces eddy-current losses.

Background: Through search the possible randomized control trials, we make a renewed meta-analysis in order to assess the impact of aspirin in preventing the recurrence of colorectal adenoma. Materials and Methods: The Medicine/PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials (CENTRAL), Chinese biomedical literature service system (SinoMed) databases were searched for the related randomized controlled trials until to the April 2016. Three different authors respectively evaluated the quality of studies and extracted data, and we used the STATA software to analyze, investigate heterogeneity between the data, using the fixed-effects model to calculate and merge data. Results: 7 papers were included the renewed meta-analysis, among these studies, two pairs were identified as representing the same study population, with the only difference being the duration of follow-up. Thus there were only five papers included our meta-analysis, and one Chinese paper were also included the work. Results were categorized by the length of follow-up, different kinds of people, varied dose of oral aspirin. The relative of adenoma in patients taking aspirin vs placebo were 0.73 (95% CI 0.55-0.98, P=0.039) with 1 year follow up; 0.84 (95% CI 0.72-0.98, P=0.484) with greater than 1 year follow up; for the advanced adenoma, the RR 0.68 (95% CI 0.49-0.94, P=0.582),for one year; RR=0.75 (95% CI 0.52-1.07, P=0.552) for greater one year. Furthermore the white population could divided into two subgroups according to the different length of follow-up time. When the length of follow-up time less than 3-year, The RR of two subgroups respective were RR=0.86 (95% CI 0.76-0.98, P=0.332), $I^2=0%$, RR=0.68 (95% CI 0.47-0.98, P=0.552), $I^2=64.6%$, But with the extension of follow-up time greater than 2-year, with the white, oral aspirin without considering dose had no efficacy on preventing the recurrence of any adenoma, the RR was 0.86 (95% CI 0.71-1.05, P=0.302), $I^2=16.4%$. Conclusions: This meta-analysis indicated that oral aspirin is associated with a remarkable decrease in the recurrence of any adenoma and advanced adenomas in patients follow-up for 1 year without concerning the dose of aspirin, but with the extension of follow-up time for greater than 1 year, oral aspirin can be effective on preventing the recurrence of any adenoma, but for the advanced adenoma, the result indicated that oral aspirin had no efficacy, According to the inclusion of ethnic groups, we also divided relevant papers into two subgroups as the yellow and white group. Then the follow-up time was less than 3 years, oral aspirin without considering the dose, had an significant efficacy on preventing the recurrence of any adenoma. But with the follow-up greater than 2 years, oral aspirin had no effect in the white.

Purpose: To investigate IQGAP1 and IQGAP2 expression in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and itsassociation with HCC clinicopathological characteristics and survival outcomes. Methods: IQGAP1 and IQGAP2 mRNA and protein were measured in HCC tissues, para-tumor tissues and normal tissues by RT-PCR and Western blotting. We further examined 150 HCC samples with adjacent para-tumor tissues and 11 normal specimens by immunohistochemistry to evaluate the correlation of IQGAP1 and IQGAP2 with clinicopathological features and prognosis. Results: IQGAP1 mRNA and protein were up-regulated while IQGAP2 mRNA and protein were down-regulated in human HCC tissues compared with para-tumor and normal liver tissues (p<0.05). IQGAP1 expression was higher in primary HCC (122/150, 81.3%) than matched adjacent tissues (30/150, 20%, p<0.001), whereas IQGAP2 was lower (31/150, 20.7% as compared to 112/150, 74.7%, P<0.001). Positive IQGAP1 expression correlated with larger tumor size (p=0.002), advanced TNM stage (p=0.002) and tumor differentiation (III and IV, p=0.034). Negative IQGAP2 expression was significantly associated with larger tumor size (p=0.009), multicentric tumor occurrence (p=0.01), advanced TNM stage (0.009) and tumor differentiation (III and IV, p=0.020). Survival analysis revealed that patients with either IQGAP1+ or IQGAP2-tumors had significantly reduced disease-free survival (p<0.001 and 0.006 respectively) and overall survival (p<0.001 for both). Multivariate analysis showed that IQGAP1/2 switch was an independent prognosis factor for disease-free survival (HR=2.824) and overall survival (HR=2.189). Conclusion: Positive IQGAP1 and negative IQGAP2 expression were closely correlated with tumor progression and could be used as adjunctive biomarkers to improve prognostication for HCC patients.
