Visual Object Tracking using Surface Fitting for Scale and Rotation Estimation

( Yuhao Wang ),( Jun Ma ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2021 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.15 No.5

Since correlation filter appeared in the field of object tracking, it plays an increasingly vital role due to its excellent performance. Although many sophisticated trackers have been successfully applied to track the object accurately, very few of them attaches importance to the scale and rotation estimation. In order to address the above limitation, we propose a novel method combined with Fourier-Mellin transform and confidence evaluation strategy for robust object tracking. In the first place, we construct a correlation filter to locate the target object precisely. Then, a log-polar technique is used in the Fourier-Mellin transform to cope with the rotation and scale changes. In order to achieve subpixel accuracy, we come up with an efficient surface fitting mechanism to obtain the optimal calculation result. In addition, we introduce a confidence evaluation strategy modeled on the output response, which can decrease the impact of image noise and perform as a criterion to evaluate the target model stability. Experimental experiments on OTB100 demonstrate that the proposed algorithm achieves superior capability in success plots and precision plots of OPE, which is 10.8% points and 8.6% points than those of KCF. Besides, our method performs favorably against the others in terms of SRE and TRE validation schemes, which shows the superiority of our proposed algorithm in scale and rotation evaluation.

Simulation of Impact Toughness with the Effect of Temperature and Irradiation in Steels

        Chenchong Wang,Jinliang Wang,Yuhao Li,Chi Zhang,Wei Xu 한국원자력학회 2019 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.51 No.1

One of the important requirements for the application of reduced activation ferritic/martensitic steel is toretain proper mechanical properties in irradiation and high temperature conditions. In order to simulatethe impact toughness with the effect of temperature and irradiation, a simulation model based on energybalance method consisted of crack initiation, plastic propagation and cleavage propagation stages wasestablished. The effect of temperature on impact toughness was analyzed by the model and the trend ofthe simulation results was basicly consistent with the previous experimental results of CLAM steels. Theload-displacement curve was simulated to express the low temperature ductile-brittle transition. Theeffect of grain size and inclusion was analyzed by the model, which was consistent with classicalexperiment results. The transgranular-intergranular transformation in brittle materials was alsosimulated.

Robust Secure UAV Relay-Assisted Cognitive Communications with Resource Allocation and Cooperative Jamming

        Zhen Wang,Jichang Guo,Zhiqiong Chen,Zhiqiong Chen,Lisu Yu,Yuhao Wang,Hong Rao 한국통신학회 2022 Journal of communications and networks Vol.24 No.2

This paper considers a novel scenario, where a physicallayer security issue is studied in unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs)-assisted cognitive relay system. A secondary unmannedaerial vehicle (SUAV) relay delivers information from multiplesecondary Internet of things (IoT) devices to a secondary user(SU) under the spectrum sharing with primary users (PUs). Inthe processing of the information transmission of the SUAV relay,a secondary eavesdropper (SE) wiretaps the information transmittedby the UAV relay with imperfect location information. Inorder to confuse the SE, a friendly SUAV jammer is employedto transmit jamming signals to the SE. To prevent the SEwiretapping information as much as possible, we aim to maximizeaverage worst-case secrecy rate of the secondary relay networkby jointly optimizing robust trajectories and power of the SUAVrelay and jammer under the power, trajectories, informationcausality and multiple interference temperature (IT) thresholdconstraints. Thus, we formulate the original problem whichis a challenging non-convex problem. We propose an effectivealgorithm to solve the original problem and attain locally optimalsolution based on the successive convex approximation (SCA)technology and the alternate optimization method. Simulationsare offered to demonstrate that our proposed resource allocationscheme can effectively improve the security performance ofthe SUAV relay network in comparison with other benchmarkschemes.

Microbiota regulation by different Akebia trifoliata fruit juices upon human fecal fermentation in vitro

        Yuhao Sun,Yaru Hu,Danqi Hu,Zhuqian Xiao,Hongpeng Wang,Jun Huang,Jian-wei Mao 한국식품과학회 2023 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.32 No.14

Three different Akebia trifoliata fruit juices were prepared, and their effects on modulation of human fecal microbiota were elucidated through an anaerobic fermentation in vitro. Results indicated that the introduction of inoculatedly-fermented Akebia trifoliata fruit juice promoted short-chain fatty acids productivity. Fecal microbiota analysis demonstrated up-regulations for abundances of Limosilactobacillus, Megamonas, Bifidobacterium, and Escherichia_Shigella, and down-regulations for numbers of Bacteroides, Prevotella_9, Parasutterella, and Sutterella. Correlation analysis confirmed relationships among sample components, short-chain fatty acids productivity, and microbial abundances, suggesting that sugars and organic acids stimulated growth of Actinobacteriota and suppressed proliferation of Proteobacteria, thus uncovering the underlying mechanism for the better ability of inoculatedly-fermented Akebia trifoliata fruit juice to regulate microbiota structure. Besides, clusters of orthologous groups of proteins analysis indicated that metabolite biosynthesis, energy metabolism, homeostasis maintenance and other physiological functions were ameliorated.

A Game Theory Based Interaction Strategy between Residential Users and an Electric Company

        Wang, Jidong,Fang, Kaijie,Yang, Yuhao,Shi, Yingchen,Xu, Daoqiang,Zhao, Shuangshuang The Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers 2018 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.13 No.1

With the development of smart grid technology, it has become a hotspot to increase benefits of both residential users and electric power companies through demand response technology and interactive technology. In this paper, the game theory is introduced to the interaction between residential users and an electric company, making a mutually beneficial situation for the two. This paper solves the problem of electricity pricing and load shifting in the interactive behavior by building the game-theoretic process, proposing the interaction strategy and doing the optimization. In the simulation results, the residential users decrease their cost by 11% mainly through shifting the thermal loads and the electric company improves its benefits by 5.6% though electricity pricing. Simulation analysis verifies the validity of the proposed method and shows great revenue for the economy of both sides.

Adaptive robust control of active magnetic bearings rigid rotor systems

        Yuhao Xu,Xiaoyuan Wang,Mingxin Liu,Na Li,Tian Yu 전력전자학회 2023 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.23 No.6

Aiming at the problems of diffi cult decoupling, complex controller models, and poor disturbance rejection capability caused by the inherent nonlinear and strong coupling characteristics of the active magnetic bearing (AMB), an adaptive H-infinity robust control (AHRC) method is proposed in the AMBs-rigid rotor system. The proposed method combines the active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) with the robust control to achieve stable operation of the AMBs-rigid rotor system under high-speed conditions. First, a four-degree-of-freedom (4-DOF) AMBs-rigid rotor model was established and transformed into a one-degree-of-freedom (1-DOF) model for the design of the robust controller, which weakens the coupling effect between each of the degrees of freedom (DOF). Then the multi-objective non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II (NSGA-II) was used to fi nd the relative optimal weighting function value of the H-infinite robust control (HRC), which solved the difficulties in the design of the robust controller for known controlled system models. In addition, by combining the optimized H-infi nity robust controller with the original error feedback control rate in the ADRC, the proposed AHRC retains the strong robustness of the HRC and the decoupling capability of the ADRC, which improves the tracking performance and anti-disturbance performance of the controlled system. Simulation and experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

Marketer-Generated Content Sharing Among Social Broadcasting Users: Effects of Intrinsic Motivations, Social Capital and the Moderating Role of Prevention Focus

Li, Yuhao,Wang, Kanliang The Korea Society of Management Information System 2015 Asia Pacific Journal of Information Systems Vol.25 No.4

Social networking services provide individuals with an easy approach for exchanging messages with others based on interpersonal relationships. However, why individuals spread marketer-generated content (MGC) in their online social circles remains unclear. Therefore, we develop a theoretical model to examine how social capital, intrinsic motivations, personal perceptions, past behavior, and personal traits influence MGC sharing behavior of social media users in micro-blogging context. Data collected from 319 social networking users support the proposed model. The results from partial least squares analyses show that enjoyment, perceived control, and outcome expectations are significant indicators of individual's MGC sharing intention in the social broadcasting environment. Results also suggest that social capital, users' intention, and past behavior positively influence the MGC sharing behavior of users. Moreover, individual prevention pride exhibits a significant interaction effect on the relationships between users' MGC sharing and its antecedents. Implications for research and practice are discussed.

Experimental investigation of the mechanical behaviors of grouted crushed coal rocks under uniaxial compression

        Jin, Yuhao,Han, Lijun,Meng, Qingbin,Ma, Dan,Wen, Shengyong,Wang, Shuai Techno-Press 2018 Geomechanics & engineering Vol.16 No.3

A detailed understanding of the mechanical behaviors for crushed coal rocks after grouting is a key for construction in the broken zones of mining engineering. In this research, experiments of grouting into the crushed coal rock using independently developed test equipment for solving the problem of sampling of crushed coal rocks have been carried out. The application of uniaxial compression was used to approximately simulate the ground stress in real engineering. In combination with the analysis of crack evolution and failure modes for the grouted specimens, the influences of different crushed degrees of coal rock (CDCR) and solidified grout strength (SGS) on the mechanical behavior of grouted specimens under uniaxial compression were investigated. The research demonstrated that first, the UCS of grouted specimens decreased with the decrease in the CDCR at constant SGS (except for the SGS of 12.3 MPa). However, the UCS of grouted specimens for constant CDCR increased when the SGS increased; optimum solidification strengths for grouts between 19.3 and 23.0 MPa were obtained. The elastic moduli of the grouted specimens with different CDCR generally increased with increasing SGS, and the peak axial strain showed a slightly nonlinear decrease with increasing SGS. The supporting effect of the skeleton structure produced by the solidified grouts was increasingly obvious with increasing CDCR and SGS. The possible evolution of internal cracks for the grouted specimens was classified into three stages: (1) cracks initiating along the interfaces between the coal blocks and solidified grouts; (2) cracks initiating and propagating in coal blocks; and (3) cracks continually propagating successively in the interfaces, the coal blocks, and the solidified grouts near the coal blocks. Finally, after the propagation and coalescence of internal cracks through the entire specimens, there were two main failure modes for the failed grouted specimens. These modes included the inclined shear failure occurring in the more crushed coal rock and the splitting failure occurring in the less crushed coal rock. Both modes were different from the single failure mode along the fissure for the fractured coal rock after grouting solidification. However, compared to the brittle failure of intact coal rock, grouting into the different crushed degree coal rocks resulted in ductile deformation after the peak strength for the grouted specimens was attained.
