It is necessary to provide sufficient daylighting for the high quality lighting in interior space. In these days various kinds of daylighting systems are developed and applied to buildings, however the difference of the purpose of an object room and a physical environment makes the Daylighting system to be unuseful. Therefore it is necessary to estimate the performances of the Daylighting system using the Computer program to apply the Daylighting system usefully. The purpose of this study is to develop the computer program using the Monte Calro Method and Ray-tracing technique to estimate the performances of the Daylighting system in interior space and the consumption of electric energy by dimming control of electric lighting. The accuracy of the computer model was validated through measurements with physical scale models under real clear sky conditions.

The proper surgical management of obstructing left colorectal cancers in an issue of debate. Staged operation including proximal colostomy has generally been accepted as a safe and standard method of management. But staged colonic procedures are associated with significant morbidity and mortality, and many patients, unfit for further surgery, are left with a permanent colostomy. Many other methods such as the use of long intestinal tube, transanastomotic obturation balloon colostomy, intracolonic bypass tube (Coloshield) were developed, but they have failed to gain wide accepance. We have already reported the initial results of intraoperative antegrade colonic irrigation for one-stage operation in obstructing left colorectal cancers. In this investigation, we evaluated the results of prospective trials of primary resection and anastomosis using intraoperative colon irrigation and subtotal colectomy in obstructing loft colon and rectal carcinomas. During recent five years, 19 cases of obstructing left colon and rectal carcinomas which could not received regular colon preparation due to marked abdominal distension were enrolled to this study. There were 12 men and 7 women, and mean age was 61. 14 of the 19 patients which tumors located below mid-descending colon were subjected to primary resection and anastomosis using intraoperative antegrade colonic irrigation, 4 patients which tumors located above the mid-descending colon were treated with subtotal colectomy, and remaining one patient which tumor located upper rectum was performed subtotal coloectomy because of underlying colonic ischemia. There was no mortality and significant postoperative complications such as anastomotic leakage, pelvic abscess of intraabdominal sepsis which seemed to related with anastomotic dehiscence. Therefore, primary resection and anastomosis using intraoperative colonic irrigation of subtotal colectomy depending on tumor locations in cases of obstructing left colon and rectal carcinomas might be useful methods to obtain safe one-stage restorative colorectal resections

Authors report a case of one-stage transoral decompression and posterior fusion in rheumatoid atlantoaxial subluxation. A 63-year-old man developed a rheumatiod atlantoaxial subluxation with mild weakness of all extremities which developed relatively suddenly 3 months after the initial symptom of neck pain. Skeletal traction followed by transoral decompression and occipitocervical fusion was performed on the same day. Postoperative course has been uneventful and revealed favorable fusion state of occipito-atlanto-axis. The pertinent literature on theumatoid atlanto-axial subluxation is reviewed and discussed.

Barium Titanate의 유전성에 미치는 Gd₂O₃의 영향

The effect of the additives on dielectric properties of BaTiO₃containing 0-0.30mol% Gd₂O₃was investigated as functions of frequency from 5 ×?? to 6.3 ×?? cps and temperature from 25 to 140℃. The dielectric constant increased with increasing Gd₂O₃ concentration from 0 to 0.05mol% due to space charge polarization. However, the dielectric constant decreased for further increase of Gd₂O₃concentration due to density increase. The dielectric constant exhibits rapid change at the Curie temperature and the Curie temperature drops with increasing amount of Gd₂O₃concentration.

혈액투석중인 만성신부전 환자에서 골대사 지표로써의 Osteocalcin치

Background : Serum osteocalcin is synthesized by osteoblast and has been shown to be sensitive indicator of bone turnover inpatients with various metabolic bone disease. In renal osteodystrophy, serum osteocalcin is elevated due to decreased renal clearance and elevated level of PTH. This study was done to evaluate the usefulness of serum osteocalcin as a marker of bone metabolism and the correlation with other biochemical markers of bone metabolism. Methods : We measured serum osteocalcin, calcium, phosphorus, ALP(alkaline phosphatase) and PTH(parathyroid hormone) in 37 patients with end stage renal disease on hemodialysis. Osteocalcin was determined by radioimmunoassay and PTH was determined by radioimmunometric assay. Results : 1) The mean level of serum osteocalcin in ESRD patients was 233.8± 218.2ng/ml which was significantly higher than that of controls(p<0.0001). 2) The mean level of serum PTH in ESRD patients was 40.5± 43.8pg/ml was significantly higher than that of controls(p<0.005). 3) There was a significant positive correlation between the level of serum PTH, ALP and the level of serum osteocalcin in ESRD patients. 4) By using multiple regression, PTH is most reliable factor that affect to elevated level of serum osteocalcin ( beta coefficient = 0.687, Sig T<0.05). Conclusion : Serum osteocalcin as a marker of bone metabolism in ESRD patients is more useful than other biochemical marker such as serum calcium, phosphorus, ALP and PTH is a most reliable factor that affect to elevated level of serum osteocalin.

한국대학생의 도덕사태 개념화 및 그 변화과정에 관한 연구(II)

This study aims to analyze the moral judgmental levels and the conceptions of transgressions of Korean college students in a series of multifacted events and the aspects of change in terms of moral judgmental level and conceptualizastion after with two years' college experience. The study was based on the Kohlberg's cognitive moral development theory and on the domain-distinction model in which children's intuitive abilities are stressed. This study was consisted of two sub-studies done in 1989 and 1991 respectively. The subjects of the 1st year study were 416 college students in four major cities(Seoul, Taegu, Kwangjoo, and Pusan). The subjects of the longitudinal analysis of second year study were 199 college students who could be followed up among the subjects of the 1st year study after two years. The instruments used in this study were Test of Moral Judgmental Development and Test of Conceptualization on Mulifaceted Events developed by the authors on the basis of Kohlberg's and Turiel's theories respectively. The following conclusions were obtained through the basis of the results and discussions of this study. First, Korean college students' false responses to moral issues decrease but the radical and anti-social responses increase after two years, and ther these responses are replaced by the level Ⅲmoral judgmental responses. Second, college students who are on the higher moral judgmental level conceptualize the transgression in social conventional and personal domains less permissible than those on the lower levels do. The students who are on the lower judgmental level reveal the decrese of nonpermissibility in social conventional domain with two years' college experience than those on the higher level do.

당뇨병환자에서 게이트심장혈액풀신티그라피를 이용한 심기능 평가

Major cardiovascular complications of diabetes are coronary atherosclerosis, diabetic dilated cardiomyopathy, autonomic neuropathy and those are major causes of morbidity and mortality in diabetic patients. Gated blood pool heart scan is noninvasive and useful method for evaluation of functional status of heart in diabetics. We evaluated 52 patients with diabetes and divided 3 groups. Group 1 were 11 patients without proteinuria or with proteinuria less than 550mng during 24 hours. Group 2 were 9 patients with proteinuria more than 550mg during 24 hours and group 3 were 32 patients with endstage renal diasese due to diabetes. We performed 99mTc-HSA cardiac gated blood pool scan and used left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF), peak ejection rate(PEF) to indices of LV systolic function and peak filling rate(PER) to index of LV diastolic function. The results were follows : 1) LVEF, PER were significantly lower in diabetics with ESRD than diabetics without ESRD, but there were no significant difference between normal controls and diabetics without ESRD 2) PFR was significantly lower in diabetics than normal controls, but there were no significant differences in diabetics with or without nephropathy. 3) There were negative correlation between PER, PFR and duration of diabetes. On the basis of results, PFR is a LV functional index of GBPS which can disclose early change of LV dysfunction in patients with diabetes.

The systematic material management of curtain wall should be established on accomplished EVM data. The matrix method of integrated cost and schedule was used with common category concept according to the construction project control system. The material management was suggested through analyzing curtain wall process and data model using integrated cost, schedule and material. In this study, the material management of curtain wall based on historical data to the related EVM is proposed. This Material management of curtain wall model can provide a standard process and data which are related to the integrated cost, schedule data.
