A new synthetic method of 2,5-disubstituted pyrrolidines is developed by the cyclization of unsaturated N-benzoyloxysulfonamides by $(CuOTf)_2{\cdot}C_6H_6$ in refluxing dichloroethane. Various N-4- and N-5-alkenyl and alkynyl N-benzoyloxysulfonamides are cyclized to give pyrrolidines. The cyclization proceeds via addition of sulfonamidoyl radicals to intramolecular unsaturated bonds or allylic hydrogen abstraction with the radical intermediates.

Objective: The Tubridge flow diverter (FD) is a novel device aimed at reconstructing the parent artery and occluding complex aneurysms. Retreatment of recurrent aneurysms using the FD is challenging. We report our initial experience in the repair of aneurysm recurrence with the FD. Materials and Methods: A database was reviewed prospectively, and 8 patients with 8 recurrent aneurysms (mean size, 16.7 mm) were identified. Four aneurysms had previously ruptured. The previous aneurysm treatment consisted of coiling in 1 aneurysm and single-stent-assisted coiling in 7 aneurysms. The procedural complications and clinical and angiographic outcomes were analyzed. Results: Six aneurysms were treated by using a single Tubridge FD alone, while the remaining 2 were treated with FD + coiling. The immediate results of the 8 aneurysms were that they all showed incomplete occlusion. Neither major ischemic nor hemorrhagic complications occurred; however, 1 patient experienced a vasospasm. Follow-up angiographies were available for 7 aneurysms; the mean follow-up was 16.9 months (7–36 months). Five aneurysms were completely occluded, whereas 2 had a residual neck. Severe asymptomatic stenosis of 1 parent artery of a vertebral artery dissecting aneurysm was found. All visible branches covered by the FD were patent. All patients were clinically assessed as having attained a favorable outcome (modified Rankin Scale score ≤ 2) at discharge and follow-up. Conclusion: In selected patients, the Tubridge FD can provide a safe and efficient option for the retreatment of recurrent aneurysms. Nevertheless, attention should be paid to several technical points.

The testis-enriched genes ZNF230/Znf230 arelocated on human chromosome 11p15/mouse chromosome7 near conserved imprinting control regions. Typical CpGislands (CGIs) extend from the promoter to the first exon ineach of these genes. To investigate the correlation betweenthe methylation status of the above CGIs and the expressionpatterns of the two genes, we performed bisulfitegenomic sequencing of genomic DNA from human andmouse tissues and cells. The results showed that the CGIsof ZNF230/Znf230 were completely unmethylated in allselected tissues and cells, regardless of the expressionlevels of the two genes. Further experiments using Znf230-second-exon-knockout mice to investigate the imprintingstatus of Znf230 showed that its expression was notaffected by genomic imprinting. However, an in vitromethylation assay illustrated that the methylation of theseCpG sites could repress the expression of the luciferasereporter gene. Furthermore, chromatin immunoprecipitationwith anti-Specificity protein 1 (Sp1) antibody showedthat Sp1 could bind to the CGIs in the ZNF230/Znf230gene promoter. Thus, we propose that the unmethylatedstate of ZNF230/Znf230 CGIs may be a prerequisite fortheir expression but not sufficient for their abundantexpression in the testis, and that Sp1 binding may be onefactor involved in preserving the methylation-free state ofZNF230/Znf230 CGIs.
Optimization of Wavefront Coding Phase Mask Applied to 5X-40X Micro-Objectives Simultaneously

A wavefront coding (WFC) technique provides an extension of the depth of field for a microscopyimaging system with slight loss of image spatial resolution. Through the analysis of the relationship betweenthe incidence angle of light at the phase mask and the system pupil function, a mixing symmetrical cubicphase mask (CPM) applied to 5X-40X micro-objectives is optimized simultaneously based on point-spreadfunction (PSF) invariance and nonzero mean values of the modulation transfer function (MTF) near thespatial cut-off frequency. Optimization results of the CPM show that the depth of field of thesemicro-objectives is extended 3-10 times respectively while keeping their resolution. Further imagingsimulations also prove its ability in enhancing the defocus imaging
Phase Only Pupil Filter Design Using Zernike Polynomials
Jiang Liu,Erlong Miao,Yongxin Sui,Huaijiang Yang 한국광학회 2016 Current Optics and Photonics Vol.20 No.1
A pupil filter is a useful technique for modifying the light intensity distribution near the focus of anoptical system to realize depth of field (DOF) extension and superresolution. In this paper, we proposeda new design of the phase only pupil filter by using Zernike polynomials. The effect of design parametersof the new filters on DOF extension and superresolution are discussed, such as defocus Strehl ratio (S.R.),superresolution factor (G) and relative first side lobe intensity (M). In comparison with the other two typesof pupil filters, the proposed filter presents its advantages on controlling both the axial and radial lightintensity distribution. Finally, defocused imaging simulations are carried out to further demonstrate theeffectiveness and superiority of the proposed pupil filter on DOF extension and superresolution in an opticalimaging system.

This note developed a distributed fault detection and isolation scheme for a class of large-scale systems in discrete-time framework. The unstructured modeling uncertainty and abrupt and incipient faults are considered in this scheme. By using overlapping decompositions, the large-scale system is decomposed into a set of subsystems which are monitored by a network of local fault detectors (LFDs) and local fault isolation estimators (LFIEs). Specially, the LFIEs, corresponding the faults af-fecting the common components among different subsystems, may reach a cooperative (or consensus) isolation decision, based on the fact that they can exchange some knowledge about the local information of system by suitable communication links. As a result, for these LFIEs, the capability of isolating faults may be improved. Moreover, the derivation of rigorous analytical results for the detectability and isolability properties of the proposed scheme is given. Simulation results are provided to show the effectiveness of the presented scheme.

CNTs/Al-Li composite was first prepared by hot-pressed sintering from Al-Li alloy powder and CNTs solution, and then the hot compression tests were performed on MMS-100 thermal simulator at strain rate range of 0.01– 10 s−1, deformation temperature range of 350–500 °C, and total deformation amount of 60%. True stress–strain curves were plotted, and constitutive equation as well as hot processing maps were successfully confirmed based on Arrhenius constitutive model and Prasad instability criterion. Results show that CNTs/Al-Li composite have a very poor hot deformation ability and narrow processing region, which is strain rate range of 0.1–1 s−1 and deformation temperature range of 360–400 °C. Hot extrusion experiment was carried out and the processing parameters were selected according to the established hot processing map, and an improvement on strength and a good balance between strength and plasticity can be obtained, which is about 650 MPa for tensile strength and 9% for elongation.

Jia Li,Wei Liu,Yongxin Ding,Likui Liu,Fang Li,Qiming Li 한국화학공학회 2019 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.36 No.6
Porous carbon supported Cu/Cu2O/CuO ternary catalysts were fabricated by pyrolysis, in which composition modulation of Cu/Cu2O/CuO was successfully realized by adjusting annealing atmosphere. The correlation between annealing atmosphere and composition of Cu/Cu2O/CuO ternary nanoparticles was deeply investigated. XRD and SEM measurement shows that the composition proportion of Cu/Cu2O/CuO can be effectively controlled by adjusting the annealing atmosphere. HR-TEM and EDS analysis showed that Cu/Cu2O/CuO ternary nanoparticles are highly dispersed into the carbon matrix and harvest more hetero-junction active sites. The effect of Cu/Cu2O/CuO composition on their catalytic activity was investigated in catalytic reduction from p-nitrophenol to p-aminophenol. The experimental result indicated that the catalytic activity of Cu/Cu2O/CuO ternary catalysts exhibits higher catalytic activity than Cu2O/CuO or CuO particles. This work provides a new strategy for synthesizing and modulating porous carbon-supported Cu/Cu2O/CuO ternary nanoparticles.
