Vol.0 No.72

The purpose of this study is to prove the different effects of different Korean reading methods on comprehension and production. 10 Chinese learners with academic purpose from Korean colleges participated this experiment with a reading test and interview. To see if there are some differences between easy texts and difficult texts, each participant was asked to complete one easy text and one difficult text by oral reading, and also one easy text and one difficult text by silent reading. After reading, they were asked to answer questions and retell in Korean and Chinese. Then we can analyze the data acquired by the method and procedure described above. The results of the study are as follows: First, when they were reading easy texts, the effect on Korean comprehension and production is no difference between oral reading and silent reading. Second, when they were dealing with difficult texts, oral reading is much more efficient than silent reading in reading comprehension and production. The study also conducted the individaul interview with all participants after reading experiment to figure our their reading preference. Finally we proposed the implication of the research.

ZntR positively regulates T6SS4 expression in Yersinia pseudotuberculosis

        Tietao Wang,Keqi Chen,Fen Gao,Yiwen Kang,Muhammad Tausif Chaudhry,Zhuo Wang,Yao Wang,Xihui Shen 한국미생물학회 2017 The journal of microbiology Vol.55 No.6

The type VI secretion system (T6SS) is a widespread and versatile protein secretion system found in most Gram- negative bacteria. Studies of T6SS have mainly focused on its role in virulence toward host cells and inter-bacterial inter-actions, but studies have also shown that T6SS4 in Yersinia pseudotuberculosis participates in the acquisition of zinc ions to alleviate the accumulation of hydroxyl radicals induced by multiple stressors. Here, by comparing the gene expression patterns of wild-type and zntR mutant Y. pseudotubercu-losis cells using RNA-seq analysis, T6SS4 and 17 other bio-logical processes were found to be regulated by ZntR. T6SS4 was positively regulated by ZntR in Y. pseudotuberculosis, and further investigation demonstrated that ZntR regulates T6SS4 by directly binding to its promoter region. T6SS4 ex-pression is regulated by zinc via ZntR, which maintains in-tracellular zinc homeostasis and controls the concentration of reactive oxygen species to prevent bacterial death under oxidative stress. This study provides new insights into the regulation of T6SS4 by a zinc-dependent transcriptional regu-lator, and it provides a foundation for further investigation of the mechanism of zinc transport by T6SS.

Adaptive Event-triggered Control for Networked Switched T-S Fuzzy Systems Subject to False Data Injection Attacks

        Yiwen Qi,Shuo Yuan,Xin Wang 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2020 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.18 No.10

This paper is concerned with the problem of adaptive event-triggered control for networked switched T-S fuzzy systems under false data injection attacks. In order to reduce unnecessary data transmission, an adaptive event-triggering mechanism is proposed, which can dynamically change triggering conditions based on system performance needs. In particular, due to the consideration of network safety, the system will be subjected to the impacts from both attack delays and network transmission delays. Then, by a delay system transformation approach,a time-delay closed-loop switched T-S fuzzy system is obtained. Moreover, by utilizing average dwell time technique, stability conditions are developed for the closed-loop system with the adaptive event-triggering mechanism and false data injection attacks. In addition, a co-design of adaptive event-triggering parameters and controller gains is given. Finally, simulation results are provided to verify the effectiveness of the designed method.

Complete genetic dissection and cell type-specific replication of old world alphaviruses, getah virus (GETV) and sagiyama virus (SAGV)

        Zhang Yiwen,Yu Jinhan,Tan Lu,Wang Xingxing,Li Runsheng,Kim Dal Young 한국미생물학회 2021 The journal of microbiology Vol.59 No.11

Getah virus (GETV), which was first isolated in Malaysia in 1955, and Sagiyama virus (SAGV), isolated in Japan in 1956, are members of the genus Alphavirus in the family Togaviridae. It is a consensus view that SAGV is a variant of GETV. In the present study, we determined the complete sequences of the prototype GETV MM2021 and SAGV M6-Mag132 genomic RNA extracted from plaque-purified viruses. The MM2021 genome was 11,692 nucleotides (nt) in length in the absence of 3 poly(A) tail, and the length of M6-Mag132 genome was 11,698 nt. Through sequence alignment of MM2021 and M6-Mag132, we located all the amino acid differences between these two strains, which were scattered in all the encoded proteins. Subsequently, we validated the close evolutionary relationship between GETV and SAGV by constructing phylogenetic trees based on either complete genomes or structural genomes. We eventually analyzed the growth kinetics of GETV and SAGV as well as other representative alphaviruses in various mammalian and insect cell lines. It was shown that human-oriented cell lines such as HEK-293T and Hela cells were relatively resistant to GETV and SAGV infection due to absence of proviral factors or species-specific barrier. On the other hand, both GETV and SAGV replicated efficiently in non-human cell lines. Our results provide essential genetic information for future epidemiological surveillance on Alphaviruses and lay the foundation for developing effective interventions against GETV and SAGV.

Effects of N- and N-In Doping on ZnO Films Prepared by Using Ultrasonic Spray Pyrolysis

Qun Wang,박세정,신동명,김형국,황윤회,Yiwen Zhang,Xiaomin Li 한국물리학회 2014 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.65 No.11

The effects of N-doping, and N-In co-doping on ZnO films were studied by analyzing the structural, electrical, and optical properties of the films prepared by using an ultrasonic spray pyrolysis(USP) method. According to scanning electron microscopy (SEM) data, all films had very complexsurface structures. Their polycrystallinity were also proven by using an X-ray diffraction method. The Hall-effect measurement showed that both the undoped and the N-doped ZnO films exhibitedn-type conductivity and that the N-In co-doped ZnO film showed p-type conductivity. In the extendedX-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) analysis, the number of oxygen atoms in the N-Incodoped ZnO films was found to be larger than that in the N-doped and the undoped ZnO films. The photoluminescence spectra also showed that the N-In co-doping suppressed the concentrationof oxygen vacancies in the ZnO films. Through an effective incorporation of indium atoms, moreoxygen atoms seem to have been introduced into the lattice of the N-In co-doped ZnO films.

Voltage Distortion Suppression for Off-grid Inverters with an Improved Load Current Feedforward Control

Geng, Yiwen,Zhang, Xue,Li, Xiaoqiang,Wang, Kai,Yuan, Xibo The Korean Institute of Power Electronics 2017 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.17 No.3

The output voltage of an off-grid inverter is influenced by load current, and the voltage harmonics especially the 5th and 7th are increased with nonlinear loads. In this paper, to attenuate the output voltage harmonics of off-grid inverters with nonlinear loads nearby, a load current feedforward is proposed. It is introduced to a voltage control loop based on the Positive and Negative Sequence Harmonic Regulator (PNSHR) compensation to modify the output impedance at selective frequencies. The parameters of the PNSHR are revised with the output impedance of the off-grid inverter, which minimizes the output impedance of the off-grid inverter. Experimental results verify the proposed method, showing that the output voltage harmonics caused by nonlinear loads can be effectively suppressed.

Acupuncture for Osteoporosis: a Review of Its Clinical and Preclinical Studies

        Tian Yimiao,Wang Lili,Xu Tianshu,Li Rui,Zhu Ruyuan,Chen Beibei,Zhang Hao,Xia Bingke,Che Yiwen,Zhao Dandan,Zhang Dongwei 사단법인약침학회 2022 Journal of Acupuncture & Meridian Studies Vol.15 No.5

Acupuncture has gained growing attention in the management of osteoporosis (OP). However, a comprehensive review has not yet been conducted on the efficacy and challenges of acupuncture in preliminary research and clinical trials. Therefore, an extensive literature search was conducted using electronic databases, including PubMed (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed), CNKI (www.cnki.net), and Web of Science, for studies published from the beginning of 2000 to the end of May 2022. Combinations of synonyms for OP, acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine, clinical trial, preclinical study, and animal experiments were searched. A total of 290 papers were consulted, including 115 reviews, 109 clinical observations, and 66 preclinical studies. There is accumulating evidence to support the beneficial role of acupuncture in preserving bone quality and relieving clinical symptoms based on clinical and preclinical investigations. The top ten most commonly used acupoints are BL23, ST36, BL20, BL11, CV4, GV4, SP 6, KI3, BL18, and GB39. The underlying mechanisms behind the benefits of acupuncture may be linked with the regulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (adrenal) axis and activation of the Wnt/β-catenin and OPG/RANKL/RANK signaling pathways. In summary, strong evidence may still come from prospective and well-designed clinical trials to shed light on the potential role of acupuncture in preserving bone loss. Future investigations are needed to explore the potential underlying mechanisms, long-term clinical efficacy, and compliance of acupuncture in OP management.
