        Objectives : The purpose of this study is to review research papers published by Korean research groups on biophoton of human beings based on experiment subject and methodology. Methods : In order to review human biophoton research executed in Korea, all the papers published in Korean and international journals by Korean research groups were selected. Several key foreign papers were also reviewed for clarification of this study. Based on experiment subjects, experiment methodology, and interpretation of experiment results were analyzed. On each experiment, its original interpretation was directly quoted. Issues on the experiment methodology and interpretation were expressed at the end of each subject. Results and Conclusions : We found that experiments on human biophoton were compelling. However it seemed that mom experiments, especially on their sample sizes, ate needed to demonstrate its clinical application. Interpretations based on Korean traditional medicine also need to be elaborated more. In order to do accomplish clinical application of biophoton, interdisciplinary works are required. Some suggestions on biophoton experiments were made.

        We could summerize the concept of the right and left mentioned in Nai-Gyung and some literature of oriental medicine as follow At first the right and left is a directional right and left which implys left-liver-right-lung(左肝右肺), left-yang-right-eum(左陽右陰), secondly it is also the road of eumyang which implys man-left-woman-right (男左女右), left-blood-right-ki(左血右氣), left-sinsu-right-myungmon(左腎水右命門), and left-right of pulse. left-liver-right-lung(左肝右肺), left-yang-right-eum(左陽右陰) and man-left-woman-right(男左女右) are expressions of the movement of yang which is a core of chang, at the same time, left-blood-right-ki(左血右氣), left-sinsu-right-myungmon(左腎水右命門), and left-right of pulse are expressions of the eum in response to the movement of yang. (go up and down of water and fire) Finally, both a directional right and left and a road of eumyang mean a road of going up and down of eumyang so, this is very important index in circulation and keeping ballance of eumyang (ki-Hyul: 氣血) in the human body therefore, we can treat a disease with acupuncture in the use of this charater, for example when a disease occurs in the left side, we can treat it with acupuncture in the right side, the same applys to right.

      • 다극형 스파크 �b과 다중평행판 축전기형 전송회로를 사용한 질소레이저의 동작특성

        We have studied on the operational characteristics of a nitrogen laser which was coupled with a multiplex parallel capacitor type Blumlein transmission line circuit and a multiplex sparkgap. This spark gap consisted of 8 pairs of electrode and was 50 ㎝ in length, as long as the laser tube. According to increasing the number of electrodes in the spark gaps up to the 6 pairs, the output power and stability of the laser was increased. It was to be improved that the multiplex spark gap was operated as a good peformance to the nitrogen laser system. The optimum operational condition of the nitrogen laser at 20㎐ of repetition rate could be obtained with the nitrogen gas pressure of 80 torr, E/P value of 325.0 v/㎝ torr at the electrodes spacing 5.0 ㎜ and of 90 torr, E/P value of 311.1 v/㎝ torr at the electrodes spacing 6.0 ㎜ respectively.

      • 고속고압 방전간극을 사용한 질소 레이저의 동작 특성

        We have constructed a nitrogen laser which is 42㎝ long has a rapid high-voltage spark gap and a multiple parallel capacitor-type Blumlein transmission line circuit, whose total capacitance is about 80 nF. The maximum output power of laser has obtained under the condition of nitrogen gas pressure of 80torr, spark gap spacing of 2.26mm and charging voltage of 10.5kV. Under these optimum conditions and maintaining constant stability of 0.02, this laser can be operated with a range of repetition rate, from 10 to 30.1 Hz. The value of E/P is 437 V.cm^-1. torr^-1 for maximum output power and 417 Vcm^-1. torr^-1 for optimum stability condition.

        A preionized nitrogen laser with average output power of 3.0 mW in repetition rate of 30 Hz was constructed to be used as a pump for dye lasers such as rhodamine 6G, rhodamine B, coumarin 120 and coumarin 102. Under the optimum dye concentrations and wavelengths, dye laser average output power of rhodamine 6G, rhodamine B, coumarin 120 and coumarin 102 were obtained to be 1.6 mW, 1.1 mW, 1.1 mW respectively. According as nitrogen laser average output power was increased up to 76% by preionization effect, dye laser average output powers of rhodamine 6G, rhodamine B, coumarin 120 and coumarin 102 were increased up to 23%, 38%, 57% and 71% respectively. The nitrogen laser system used for this research can be utilized in dye lasers covering the entire visible spectra and if the nitrogen laser output power is improved, the output power of the coumarin 102 dye laser can be improved higher than that of the rhodamine 6G dye laser.

        The design and performance of a compact nitrogen laser which consists of a Spiral multiple parallel plate capacitor type Blumlein transmission line circuit are described. The laser tube is made by 50 ㎜ long with a 2.5 ㎜ main electrode gap spacing. The output power increased with the spark gap distance. The peak power of 3.0 μJ has been obtained with a spark gap distance of 3.5 ㎜ and a repetition rate of 30㎐. The optimum nitrogen gas pressure was about 60torr independent of the variation of spark gap distance. The laser operates with repetition rate of up to 70 ㎐.

        A new table of Thomas-Fermi-Dirac functions for neutral atoms is calculated transforming the Thomas-Fermi-Dirac functions of Thomas into that of Umeda and using of the new boundary radii. Our calculations of atomic radii by the new table are seen in good agreement with the Hartree-Fock's and give the value of 0.7776 in Bohr unit for hydrogen, which is 1.826 times as large as the Umeda's result for hydrogen.

        Abstract 'Technic' is the valid skill to achieve the artistic the creation as well as reproduction(performance in case of music). However, the true sense of musical 'technic' is not just physical activity but also mental activity combined. Therefore, the right 'technic' for the piano performance is the one with proper balance between the physical technic but wiyhout the mental(musical) aspects. Performance with brilliant physical technic but wiyhout the musical contemplation can be meaningless activity. Whereas, one can not reach the astistic representation with only the musical contemplation and physical skill. Piano performance is the artistic expression of each composer's idiosyncratic musical piece, through the piano. Performer is able to reproduce good music only with the harmony of physical and mental aspects. The term 'musical' means that the performer feels and needs to express the composer's emotion which could not mark on the music. The term 'technic' means the skill of physical performing parts(fingers, wrists, arms, shoulders and torso) for the performers to express the composer's emotion with music. In these days, the spread of piano instruments promotes the great number of piano major students. However, many of these students do not have the right conception of the 'technic' as well as the right understanding of the capacity and the mechnism conception of the piano instument. Through the experience from teaching piano for number of yeats, performance, the conversation with other musicians, the books and music periodicals, I decided to study on "An Analysis on Physical Roles related with Piano Technic". I hope that this study would help to promote the right teaching method of piano performance for the piano students.
