Public Key Encryption with Equality Test for Heterogeneous Systems in Cloud Computing

( Rashad Elhabob ),( Yanan Zhao ),( Iva Sella ),( Hu Xiong ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2019 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.13 No.9

Cloud computing provides a broad range of services like operating systems, hardware, software and resources. Availability of these services encourages data owners to outsource their intensive computations and massive data to the cloud. However, considering the untrusted nature of cloud server, it is essential to encrypt the data before outsourcing it to the cloud. Unfortunately, this leads to a challenge when it comes to providing search functionality for encrypted data located in the cloud. To address this challenge, this paper presents a public key encryption with equality test for heterogeneous systems (PKE-ET-HS). The PKE-ET-HS scheme simulates certificateless public encryption with equality test (CLE-ET) with the identity-based encryption with equality test (IBE-ET). This scheme provides the authorized cloud server the right to actuate the equivalence of two messages having their encryptions performed under heterogeneous systems. Basing on the random oracle model, we construct the security of our proposed scheme under the bilinear Diffie-Hellman (BDH) assumption. Eventually, we evaluate the size of storage, computation complexities, and properties with other related works and illustrations indicate good performance from our scheme.

Characteristics analysis of supporting and locking mechanism based on the non-circular gear compound transmission

Chao Lin,Yanan Hu,Yanqun Wei,Zhiqin Cai 대한기계학회 2020 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.34 No.6

As one of the most important components in the micro in-pipe robot, the supporting and locking mechanism determines the working performance of the robot. In this paper, a new supporting and locking mechanism based on the non-circular gear compound transmission (SLM-NGCT) is proposed. According to the advanced mechanisms and differential geometry theory, transmission coordinates of the movement mechanism were established and the movement equations were derived. The influence factors and change rules of the displacement, velocity and acceleration of the movement mechanism were analyzed. Based on gear meshing theory and the cam theory, the mechanical characteristics of the flexible friction block of the movement mechanism were analyzed. A simulation model of SLMNGCT was established and the comparison results between simulation and theoretical model show the correctness of the theoretical analysis and the feasibility of non-circular gear pairs instead of the cam mechanism. The study has guiding significance in the supporting and locking mechanism of micro in-pipe robot.

Efficacy and Safety of Radiofrequency Ablation Combined with Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization for Hepatocellular Carcinomas Compared with Radiofrequency Ablation Alone: A Time-to-Event Meta-Analysis

        Xin Wang,Yanan Hu,Mudan Ren,Xinlan Lu,Guifang Lu,Shuixiang He 대한영상의학회 2016 Korean Journal of Radiology Vol.17 No.1

Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety of combined radiofrequency ablation (RFA) and transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) with RFA alone for hepatocellular carcinomas (HCC). Materials and Methods: Randomized controlled trial (RCT) studies that compared the clinical or oncologic outcomes of combination therapy of TACE and RFA versus RFA for the treatment of HCC were identified through literature searches of electronic databases (Pubmed, Embase, Cochrane Library, China Biology Medicine disc, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and Google Scholar). Hazard ratios (HRs) or odds ratios (ORs) with their corresponding 95% confidence interval (CI) were combined as the effective value to assess the summary effects. The strength of evidence was rated by the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation system. Results: Six RCTs with 534 patients were eligible for inclusion in this meta-analysis. The meta-analysis showed that the combination of TACE and RFA is associated with a significantly longer overall survival (HR = 0.62, 95% CI: 0.49–0.78, p < 0.001) and recurrence-free survival (HR = 0.55, 95% CI: 0.40–0.76, p < 0.001) in contrast with RFA monotherapy. The seemingly higher incidence of major complications in the combination group compared with RFA group did not reach statistical significance (OR = 1.17, 95% CI: 0.39–3.55, p = 0.78). Conclusion: In patients with HCC, the combination of TACE and RFA is associated with significantly higher overall survival and recurrence-free survival, as compared with RFA monotherapy, without significant difference in major complications.

Compound motion characteristics analysis of eccentric herringbone curve-face gear pair

Chao Lin,Gui Ran,Yanan Hu 대한기계학회 2021 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.35 No.12

To simplify compound gear transmission, this paper proposed a novel compound motion mechanism with an eccentric herringbone curve-face gear-pair, which combines a rotation motion and a linear motion to simplify complex mechanical transmissions. A compound transmission model of the pair was established based on the motion principle of the constant-diameter cam. Then we analyzed the impacts of variable eccentric distances on the axial displacement and axial forces of the non-circular herringbone gear. By utilizing SolidWorks and automatic dynamic analysis of mechanical systems, ADAMS, a simulation model for simulating the compound motion of the gear pair, was provided. Experiments were carried out by dividing the gear pair into two eccentric helical curve-face gear with opposite hands. The results implied that maximum axial displacement deviations from the experiment and simulation model are 1.8 % and 5.7 %, compared to the theoretical value, which verified the accuracy of the theoretical analysis.

Intrapuparial development and age estimation of Sarcophaga peregrina (Diptera: Sarcophagidae) for postmortem interval estimation

        Li Liangliang,Zhang Yanan,Chen Yang,Guo Yi,Wang Yinghui,Hu Gengwang,Kang Chengtao,Jiangfeng Wang,Wang Yu 한국응용곤충학회 2023 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.26 No.2

Sarcophaga peregrina Robineau-Desvoidy, 1830 (Diptera: Sarcophagidae) is a widely distributed species in the Palearctic, Oriental and Australian regions. Numerous studies and case reports have confirmed the value of this species in forensic investigations, but methods for estimating the age of the intrapuparial period of this species are lacking. In this study, S. peregrina pupae were sampled at 16 ◦ C, 19 ◦ C, 22 ◦ C, 25 ◦ C, 28 ◦ C, 31 ◦ C, and 34 ◦ C. Morphological changes within the puparium were observed under a stereomicroscope. The results of the study showed that S. peregrina could complete its intrapuparial development at each of the seven tested constant temperatures. As the temperature increased, the average minimum duration of the intrapuparial period of S. peregrina decreased from 706.7 ± 28.1 h at 16 ◦ C to 170.7 ± 4.6 h at 34 ◦ C. The intrapuparial morphological changes of S. peregrina can be divided into 12 sub-stages. While some structures such as the compound eyes, mouthparts, antennae, thorax, legs, wings, and abdomen can be used individually to estimate intrapuparial age, we observed all these structures with local magnification photographs and classified the developmental process of these structures into 6–11 stages. The time range for the appearance of each sub-stage or structure was recorded in detail. The results of this study provide important basic data for estimating the minimum postmortem interval using the intrapuparial morphology of S. peregrina.

Temperature dependent development of black soldier fly, Hermetia illucens (L.) (Diptera: Stratiomyidae) from Yangtze River Delta region of China

        Wang Yinghui,Zhang Yanan,Wang Jiangfeng,Kang Chengtao,Hu Gengwang,Guo Yi,Chen Jie,Yang Lijun,Wang Yu 한국응용곤충학회 2023 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.26 No.4

The black soldier fly, Hermetia illucens (L.) (Diptera: Stratiomyidae), isomnivorous andwidely distributed in the world. Black soldier flies usually colonize corpse at a relatively late stage and have a longer developmental time compared to other flies. It can serve as a good supplementary indicator for estimating a longer minimum postmortem interval (PMI min ) in forensic investigations. In this paper, the development of H. illucens was investigated at six constant temperatures between 19 and 34 ◦ C. Under temperatures of 19, 22, 25, 28, 31, and 34 ◦ C, the mean developmental time from eggs to adults was 90.96, 58.29, 54.61, 42.33, 32.33 and 34.52 days, respectively. Developmental time and accumulated degree days results were used to construct thermal sum mation model and isomorphen diagram. The calculated values of lower developmental thresholds and thermal summation constant estimated by a linear model were 11.88 ◦ C and 650.89 degree days, respectively. Through a nonlinear model, the upper lethal developmental threshold temperature, intrinsic optimum temperature and lower developmental thresholds were estimated to be 35.18, 20.50 and 13.17 ◦ C, respectively. A growth curve, an equation and isomegalen diagram based on them show the relationship between developmental time and larval body length. The larval body length increased with increased developmental time and eventually pla teaued, revealing an S-shape growth curve. These results provide important basic developmental data for H. illucens, which can be used to estimate the PMI min .

Quantitative evaluation of through-thickness rectangular notch in metal plates based on lamb waves

        Na Zhao,Bin Wu,Xiucheng Liu,Keqin Ding,Yanan Hu,Mahmoud Bayat 국제구조공학회 2019 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.71 No.6

Lamb wave technology is a promising technology in the field of structural health monitoring and can be applied in the detection and monitoring of defects in plate structures. Based on the reconstruction algorithm for the probabilistic inspection of damage (RAPID), a Lamb-based detection and evaluation method of through-thickness rectangular notches in metal plates was proposed in this study. The influences of through-thickness rectangular notch length and the angle between sensing path and notch length direction on signals were further explored through simulations and experiments. Then a damage index calculation method which focuses on both phase and amplitude difference between detected signals and baseline signals was proposed. Based on the damage index difference between two vertically crossed sensing paths which pass through the notch in a sensor network, the notch direction identification method was proposed. In addition, the notch length was determined based on the damage index distribution along sensing paths. The experimental results showed that the image reconstructed with the proposed method could reflect the information for the evaluation of notches.
