        A Research on the Impact of Learning Burnout on Achievement of Mathematics for Non-mathematics College Students in China

        중국의 수학 비전공 대학생에 대한 학습 소진이 수학 성적에 미치는 영향의 연구를 위해 중국의 수학 비전공 대학생 612명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, SPSS통계 프로그램으로 분석하였다. 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수학학습에 매우 심각한 학업 소진을 겪고 있는 학생 수는 전체 참가자의 1/3을 차지하였다. 또한 성별은 두 가지 연구 변수에서 큰 차이가 없었다. 분야별 전문분야에서는 감정 소진이라는 변수에서 상당한 차이가 있었다. 고등수학점수는 수학학습 소진도와 수학학업성취에서 뚜렷한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 수학학업소진과 그 하위 치수는 전체 수학 성취도와 하위 치수와 유의하게 부정적인 상관관계가 나타났다. 그리고 두 변수의 전체 상관 계수는 -.734(p <.01)였다. 셋째, 학업소진과 수학성적과의 3차 곡선 회귀와 선형 회로 수학에 대학 학업소진이 수학 성적에 뚜렷하게 부정적인 영향이 미친다는 것을 보여주었다. In order to study the impact of Learning Burnout on achievement of mathematics for non-mathematics college students in China. 612 non-mathematics majors in China were investigated by questionnaire, and the collected data were analyzed by SPSS software. The conclusions are as follows: First, students with very serious burnout in mathematics learning and students on the verge of burnout account for 1/3 of the total number of participants. The gender has no significant differences in two research variables. The professional categories have significant differences in the variables of emotional exhaustion. The advanced mathematics score is significantly different in two research variables; Second, the mathematics learning burnout and its sub-dimensions is significantly negatively correlated with the overall mathematics achievement and its sub-dimensions. and the overall correlation coefficient of two variables was -.734 (p < .01); Third, through the cubic curve regression and linear regression between learning burnout and achievements of mathematics, it showed that mathematics learning burnout has a significant negative impact on mathematics achievements.

        Computation of pressure fluctuation frequency in electronic unit pump for diesel engine

        Pressure variations inside a fuel injection system can lead to fluctuations in injected fuel quantity during injections and therefore candirectly impact the stability and performance coherence of the fuel injection system and the engine it matched. Concepts of hydrauliccapacitance and hydraulic inductance are introduced into fuel injection system by referencing LC oscillator electric circuit. A LC undampedhydraulic mathematical model is developed based on the structural parameters of the electronic unit pump (EUP). Pressure fluctuationfrequency during injection process at different operating conditions of the EUP is computed by the LC undamped model. It isobserved that the frequencies of pressure fluctuations tend to increase with the fuel injection process. Pressure curves and pressure fluctuationfrequencies obtained by experiments at different operating conditions validated the results predicted by the LC undampedmathematical model.

      • Potential rocky desertification simulation for the karst plateau area using CA-Markov model

        It has been recognized that karst rocky desertification is one of the most serious geo-ecological problem in Southwestern China. Understanding the development trend of karst rocky desertification is of fundamental importance in rocky desertification management and control. More attention should be paid to karst areas with potential rocky desertification. In this paper, ARFGIS software was used to discribe the historical and current situation of potential rocky desertification spatial pattern in the middle and lower reaches of houzhai stream, a typical karst plateau area. Remote sensing images from the study area, Remote sensing images from the study area, collected in 1987,1955 and 2004 were used for spatial pattern simulation of potential rocky desertification subdivided into six types: none, extreme slightly, slightly, moderately, severely and extreme severely. The result showed that the potential rocky desertification landscape distributed unevenly; a little more than half of the are showed gradual rocky desertification trend and about 60% of those regions had emarkable rocky desertification trend; Slightly potential rocky desertification was increasing all the time, while the other five types of potential rocky desertification had different change tendencies during different states. Then based on CA-Markov model, the potential rocky desertification spatial pattern was predicted. Verification with investigation based on map in 2004 indicated that 87.2% of the simulation was consistant with real data. therefore the model is robust in prediction potential rocky desertification spatial pattern in this study area.

        Recovery of [BMIM]FeCl4 from homogeneous mixture using a simple chemical method

        [BMIM]FeCl4 (1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrachloroferrate) was successfully separated from a homogeneous mixture of [BMIM]FeCl4 and H2O via a simple two-step method of phase-division by adding inorganic salt plus chemical extraction, or alternatively, ultracentrifugation, or ultrastrong magnetic field. NaCl showed excellent and effective phase-dividing performance combined with chemical extraction method from the homogeneous mixture of [BMIM]FeCl4 and H2O lower to 1 v%.

        Phenotypic and Molecular Characteristics of Children with Progressive Familial Intrahepatic Cholestasis in South China

        Purpose: Progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis (PFIC) is a rare genetic autosomal recessive disease caused by mutations in ATP8B1, ABCB11 or ABCB4. Mutational analysis of these genes is a reliable approach to identify the disorder. Methods: We collected and analyzed relevant data related to clinical diagnosis, biological investigation, and molecular determination in nine children carrying these gene mutations, who were from unrelated families in South China. Results: Of the nine patients (five males, four females) with PFIC, one case of PFIC1, four cases of PFIC2, and four cases of PFIC3 were diagnosed. Except in patient no. 8, jaundice and severe pruritus were the major clinical signs in all forms. γ-glutamyl transpeptidase was low in patients with PFIC1/PFIC2, and remained mildly elevated in patients with PFIC3. We identified 15 different mutations, including nine novel mutations (p.R470HfsX8, p.Q794X and p.I1170T of ABCB11 gene mutations, p.G319R, p.A1047P, p.G1074R, p.T830NfsX11, p.A1047PfsX8 and p.N1048TfsX of ABCB4 gene mutations) and six known mutations (p.G446R and p.F529del of ATP8B1 gene mutations, p.A588V, p.G1004D and p.R1057X of ABCB11 gene mutations, p.P479L of ABCB4 gene mutations). The results showed that compared with other regions, these three types of PFIC genes had different mutational spectrum in China. Conclusion: The study expands the genotypic spectrum of PFIC. We identified nine novel mutations of PFIC and our findings could help in the diagnosis and treatment of this disease.

        Functional Definition of LuxS, an Autoinducer-2 (AI-2) Synthase and Its Role in Full Virulence of Streptococcus suis Serotype 2

        Quorum sensing is a widespread chemical communication in response to fluctuation of bacterial population density, and has been implicated into bacterial biofilm formation and regulation of expression of virulence factors. The luxS gene product, S-ribosylhomocysteinase, catalizes the last committed step in biosynthetic pathway of autoinducer 2 (AI-2), a signaling molecule for inter-species quorum sensing. We found a luxS homologue in 05ZYH33, an epidemic strain of Streptococcus suis serotype 2 (SS2) in China. A luxS null mutant (ΔluxS) of 05ZYH33 strain was obtained using an approach of homologous recombination. LuxS was determined to be required for AI-2 production in 05ZYH33 strain of S. suis 2. Inactivation of luxS gene led to a wide range of phenotypic changes including thinner capsular walls, increased tolerance to H_2O_2, reduced adherence capacity to epithelial cells, etc. In particular, loss of LuxS impaired dramatically its full virulence of SS2 in experimental model of piglets, and functional complementation restored it nearly to the level of parent strain. Genome-wide transcriptome analyses suggested that some known virulence factors such as CPS are down-regulated in the ΔluxS mutant, which might in part explain virulence attenuation by luxS deletion. Similarly, 29 of 71 genes with different expression level were proposed to be targets candidate regulated by LuxS/AI-2-dependent quorum sensing.
