Fractional-Order Adaptive Sliding Mode Control for Fractional-Order Buck-Boost Converters

        Xie Lingling,Liu Zhipei,Ning Kangzhi,Qin Rui 대한전기학회 2022 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.17 No.3

In previous studies, the combination of fractional calculus (FC) and sliding-mode control (SMC) has been gaining more and more interest due to fusion characteristics of SMC and FC. But most study integer-order buck converters, and few study control strategies of fractional-order converters. In this paper, the sliding mode controller and fractional adaptive sliding mode controller for fractional-order buck-boost converters are proposed. An affi ne nonlinear system model of the fractionalorder buck-boost converter is built. Based on the diff erential geometry theory, the exact feedback linearization is performed on the affi ne nonlinear model of the fractional-order buck-boost converter. On this basis, a fractional adaptive sliding mode controller is designed by selecting a linear sliding surface and adaptive control law. The stability of the fractional controller is proved by the Mittag–Leffl er stability theorem. The simulation results show that the fractional adaptive sliding mode control has good dynamic response performance and small steady-stage error regulating characteristics. Compared with traditional sliding mode control and PI λ control, the control method demonstrates stronger robustness under various disturbances.

A Modeling and Analysis Method for CCM Fractional Order Buck‑Boost Converter by Using R–L Fractional Defnition

        Lingling Xie,Zhipei Liu,Bo Zhang 대한전기학회 2020 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.15 No.4

Fractional defnition is important for the application of fractional-order theory in electrical engineering, and fractional-order theory directly afects the accuracy of the model and the operating characteristics of the power converter. Most researchers used the fractional defnition of Caputo to study fractional order power converter. However, it is found that the model based on Caputo fractional defnition is inconsistent with the actual situation. A novel modeling and analysis method for the fractional buck–boost converter is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the fractional converter model operating in continuous conduction mode (CCM) is established and the DC analysis is completed by using Riemann–Liouville (R–L) fractional defnition. The R–L fractional defnition is nearly 1.1% more accurate than the Caputo defnition in the DC analysis. Secondly, the infuence of the capacitor and inductor orders on the converter is performed. The results show that the capacitor and inductor orders have great efect on the DC components of the state variable and the steady-state characteristics of the fractional order buckboost converter. Finally, simulation and experiment results are provided that the validity of theoretical analysis.

Dynamic Economic Dispatch for Microgrid Based on the Chance-Constrained Programming

Huang, Daizheng,Xie, Lingling,Wu, Zhihui The Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers 2017 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.12 No.3

The power of controlled generators in microgrids randomly fluctuate because of the stochastic volatility of the outputs of photovoltaic systems and wind turbines as well as the load demands. To address and dispatch these stochastic factors for daily operations, a dynamic economic dispatch model with the goal of minimizing the generation cost is established via chance-constrained programming. A Monte Carlo simulation combined with particle swarm optimization algorithm is employed to optimize the model. The simulation results show that both the objective function and constraint condition have been tightened and that the operation costs have increased. A higher stability of the system corresponds to the higher operation costs of controlled generators. These operation costs also increase along with the confidence levels for the objective function and constraints.

Phase II Trial of Epigallocatechin-3-Gallate in Acute Radiation-Induced Esophagitis for Esophagus Cancer

        Xiaoling Li,Ligang Xing,Yujun Zhang,Peng Xie,Wanqi Zhu,Xiangjiao Meng,Yinxia Wang,Lingling Kong,Hanxi Zhao,Jinming Yu 한국식품영양과학회 2020 Journal of medicinal food Vol.23 No.1

Acute radiation-induced esophagitis (ARIE) is among the most serious form of toxicities associated with definitive radiotherapy or chemoradiotherapy used for treatment of patients with esophageal cancer. Our preliminary phase I and II trials of lung cancer patients who received radiotherapy indicated epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) as a promising therapeutic option against ARIE. Therefore, we conducted a prospective phase II study to validate the efficacy and safety of EGCG in the treatment of ARIE. The patients who received chemoradiotherapy or definitive radiotherapy for treatment of esophageal cancer in the Shandong Cancer Hospital and Institute in China were enrolled for the present study. EGCG (440 μM) was administered with first onset of ARIE and then at weeks after final radiotherapy. The patients were monitored every week for dysphagia, Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) score, and esophagitis-related pain. Moreover, tumor response and the effect on survival following the treatment were also evaluated. Comparison of the RTOG score in the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and even sixth week after EGCG prescription and the first and second week after radiotherapy with baseline indicates a significant reduction. The tumor response rate was 86.3%. The overall survival rate in 1, 2, and 3 years was found to be 74.5%, 58%, and 40.5%. Oral administration of EGCG solution seems to be feasible for treating ARIE in patients with esophageal cancer who receive radiation therapy. EGCG might be an ARIE-reliever without compromising the efficacy of radiation therapy. A randomized study with a control group is needed for further evaluation.

Identification and Expression Patterns of fvexpl1, an Expansin-Like Protein-Encoding Gene, Suggest an Auxiliary Role in the Stipe Morphogenesis of Flammulina velutipes

( Qianhui Huang ),( Xing Han ),( Irum Mukhtar ),( Lingling Gao ),( Rongmei Huang ),( Liping Fu ),( Junjie Yan ),( Yongxin Tao ),( Bingzhi Chen ),( Baogui Xie ) 한국미생물생명공학회(구 한국산업미생물학회) 2018 Journal of microbiology and biotechnology Vol.28 No.4

Expansins are cell wall proteins that mediate cell wall loosening and promote specific tissue and organ morphogenesis in plants and in some microorganisms. Unlike plant expansins, the biological functions of fungal expansin-like proteins have rarely been discussed. In the present study, an expansin-like protein-encoding fvexpl1 gene, was identified from Flammulina velutipes by using local BLAST. It consisted of five exons with a total length of 822 bp. The deduced protein FVEXPL1 contained 274 amino acids with a predicted molecular mass and isoelectric point of 28,589 Da and pH 4.93, respectively. The first 19 amino acids from the N terminal are the signal peptide. Phylogenetic analysis and multiple protein alignment indicated FVEXPL1 was an expansin-like protein. The expression level of fvexpl1 gene in the stipe was significantly higher than that in the mycelia, primordia, and cap. However, the expression level of fvexpl1 gene was significantly higher in the fast elongation region of the stipe as compared with the slow elongation region. Expression analysis indicated that fvexpl1 gene might have an auxiliary role in the stipe morphogenesis of F. velutipes.

Hepatitis B virus (HBV) codon adapts well to the gene expression profile of liver cancer: an evolutionary explanation for HBV’s oncogenic role

        Chunpeng Yu,Jian Li,Qun Li,Shuai Chang,Yufeng Cao,Hui Jiang,Lingling Xie,Gang Fan,Song Wang 한국미생물학회 2022 The journal of microbiology Vol.60 No.11

Due to the evolutionary arms race between hosts and viruses, viruses must adapt to host translation systems to rapidly synthesize viral proteins. Highly expressed genes in hosts have a codon bias related to tRNA abundance, the primary RNA translation rate determinant. We calculated the relative synonymous codon usage (RSCU) of three hepatitis viruses (HAV, HBV, and HCV), SARS-CoV-2, 30 human tissues, and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). After comparing RSCU between viruses and human tissues, we calculated the codon adaptation index (CAI) of viral and human genes. HBV and HCV showed the highest correlations with HCC and the normal liver, while SARS-CoV-2 had the strongest association with lungs. In addition, based on HCC RSCU, the CAI of HBV and HCV genes was the highest. HBV and HCV preferentially adapt to the tRNA pool in HCC, facilitating viral RNA translation. After an initial trigger, rapid HBV/HCV translation and replication may change normal liver cells into HCC cells. Our findings reveal a novel perspective on virus-mediated oncogenesis.
