Wei Chen,Kai You,Jufang Yin,Ming Chen,Xiaolan Tao,Jiarui Hu,Xiaorong Chen,Qian Lei 대한금속·재료학회 2022 METALS AND MATERIALS International Vol.28 No.10
Novel ultrahigh strength Ni2Sistrengthened brasses were fabricated, and microstructure and properties were investigatedusing scanning electron microscopy, optical microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, hardnessmeasurement, and electrical conductivity test. After optimal treatments (solid solution treated at 900 ℃ for 2 h, hotrolledby 80%, cold-rolled by 80%, and ageing treated at 300 ℃ for 8 h), the Cu-20Zn-3Ni-0.68Si alloy’s hardness, tensilestrength, yield strength, and electrical conductivity is 270.6 HV, 964 MPa, 933 MPa, 21.6%IACS, and 3.4%, respectively. δ-Ni2Si precipitates formed during the annealing process, which had a crystal orientation relationship with the matrix: (001)m// (001) δ, and [110]m// [100]δ. Quasi-cleavage fracture surfaces with shallow dimples were presented in both the Cu-20Zn-1.5Ni-0.34Si and the Cu-20Zn-3Ni-0.68Si alloy. These findings give a new method to develop new high strength low-costbrass copper materials.

Monocarboxylate transporter 2 (MCT2) is the predominant monocarboxylate transporter expressed by neurons. MCT2 plays an important role in brain energy metabolism. Stroke survivors are at high risk of cognitive impairment. We reported previously that stroke-induced cognitive impairment was related to impaired energy metabolism. In the present study, we report that cognitive function was impaired after stroke in rats. We found that MCT2 expression, but not that of MCT1 or MCT4, was markedly decreased in the rat hippocampus at 7 and 28 days after transient middle cerebral artery occlusion (tMCAO). Moreover, MCT2 overexpression promoted recovery of cognitive function after stroke. The molecular mechanism underlying these effects may be related to an increase in adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase-mediated mitochondrial biogenesis induced by overexpression of MCT2. Our findings suggest that MCT2 activation ameliorates cognitive impairment after stroke.

Zhao Xiaorong,Fan Honghui,Ye Feiyue,Qian Xiufang,Chen Dan,He Sheng 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Future Generation Communi Vol.8 No.3
In first stage of each microwave receiver there is Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) circuit, and this stage has important rule in quality factor of the receiver. This paper presents the design of LNA and development of low bias (VD=3V, ID=20mA), the LNA operating in frequency range 1.8-2.2GHz using a feedback circuit. Design System (ADS) 2012 tool was used for design and simulation, and each design was tuned to get the optimum value for NF, power gain (S21), input return loss (S11) and reverse isolation (S12). Simulation results have indicated that the S21 achieves 33.2515±0.4475dB over the wide frequency band of 1.8-2.2 GHz, the gain was almost flat over the whole band. Noise figure (NF) maintains is 0.4945±0.0565 dB, S12 < -47.089 dB and S11 < -16.126 dB in the entire band.

OsBAK1 gene belongs to a receptor like kinase gene family in rice and shares a highly conserved gene structure and sequence homology with Arabidopsis thaliana BAK1 gene. To investigate the role of OsBAK1 in rice immunity, the full-length cDNA of OsBAK1 was isolated by RT-PCR and the transgenic rice lines (over expression and RNA-interference lines) were generated using Agrobacterium-mediated transformation. The expression level of OsBAK1 was determined by q-PCR in overexpression and RNAi transgenic rice lines. Based on quantitative polymerase chain reaction (q-PCR) results, two overexpression lines and two RNAi lines were evaluated in bioassays for resistance to Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae PXO99, the causal agent of rice bacterial blight disease. Pathogenicity bioassays showed overexpression OsBAK1 lines exhibited resistance to blight disease whereas OsBAK1 RNAi lines promoted susceptibility. Besides, OsBAK1 can complement the function of AtBAK1 in Arabidopsis bak1 protoplast, activating FRK1 expression, a marker gene in PTI signaling pathway, after treatment by flg22. Furthermore, the transcriptional level of OsBAK1 was induced significantly in rice by defense signaling molecules such as salicylic acid, jasmonic acid, and PXO99 inoculation. Our results illustrated OsBAK1 positively regulates plant defense against rice bacterium pathogen Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae PXO99.
Effect of Thyroid Hormone on the Gene Expression of Myostatin in Rat Skeletal Muscle
Ma, Yi,Chen, Xiaoqiang,Li, Qing,An, Xiaorong,Chen, Yongfu Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2009 Animal Bioscience Vol.22 No.2
Modification of thyroid hormone levels has a profound effect on skeletal muscle differentiation, predominantly through direct regulation involving thyroid hormone receptors. Nevertheless, little is known about the regulation of myostatin gene expression in skeletal muscle due to altered concentrations of thyroid hormone. Thus, the goal of our study was to find out whether altered thyroid states could change the gene expression of myostatin, the most powerful inhibitor of skeletal muscle development. A hyperthyroid state was induced in rats by daily injections of L-thyroxine 20 mg/100 g body weight for 14 days, while a hypothyroid state was induced in another group of rats by administering methimazole (0.04%) in drinking water for 14 days. After a period of 14 days of L-thyroxine treatment we observed a significant increase of myostatin expression both in mRNA and protein level. However, decreased expression of myostatin mRNA and protein were observed in hypothyroid rats. Furthermore, our studies demonstrated that the upregulation of myostatin gene expression might be responsible for the loss of body weight induced by altered thyroid hormone levels. We concluded that myostatin played a role in a metabolic process in muscle that was regulated by thyroid hormone.

Background Many long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been suggested to play critical roles in acute lung injury (ALI) pathogenesis, including lncRNA nuclear enriched abundant transcript 1 (NEAT1). Objective We aimed to further elucidate the functions and molecular mechanism of NEAT1 in ALI. Methods Human pulmonary alveolar epithelial cells (HPAEpiCs) stimulated by lipopolysaccharide (LPS) were served as a cellular model of ALI. Cell viability and cell apoptosis were determined by cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) assay and fow cytometry, respectively. The expression of NEAT1, microRNA-424-5p (miR-424-5p), and mitogen-activated protein kinase 14 (MAPK14) was measured by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) or western blot analysis. Caspase activity was determined by caspase activity kit. The infammatory responses were evaluated using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The oxidative stress factors were analyzed by corresponding kits. Results NEAT1 was upregulated in LPS-stimulated HPAEpiCs. NEAT1 knockdown weakened LPS-induced injury by inhibiting apoptosis, infammation and oxidative stress in HPAEpiCs. Moreover, miR-424-5p was a direct target of NEAT1, and its knockdown reversed the efects caused by NEAT1 knockdown in LPS-induced HPAEpiCs. Furthermore, MAPK14 was a downstream target of miR-424-5p, and its overexpression attenuated the efects of miR-424-5p on reduction of LPSinduced injury in HPAEpiCs. Besides, NEAT1 acted as a sponge of miR-424-5p to regulate MAPK14 expression. Conclusion NEAT1 knockdown alleviated LPS-induced injury of HPAEpiCs by regulating miR-424-5p/MAPK14 axis, which provided a potential therapeutic target for the treatment of ALI.

This paper aims to fill the gap in the extensive literature on the results of interaction betweenpublic and private R&D expenditures. Two types of public R&D subsidies, the appropriationsand loan interest, are investigated in the effect of public subsidies by applying for a uniquemicro data set of Chinese manufacturing firms combined with the Innovation Fund forSmall and Medium Technology-based Firms (Innofund). The results are consistent with theprediction that loan interest subsidies based on more competitive selective system are moreeffective for the public R&D subsidies than the appropriations. Firms’ heterogeneity, measured by state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and private-owned enterprises (POEs), is testedfor the different impact of public subsidies on corporate R&D investment. The results showthat the crowding-in effect is mainly driven by POEs, not by SOEs, which confirms thetheoretical assumption by Aghion and Tirole that the agency problem play a dominant rolein corporate R&D activities. An improved econometric method, combined propensity scorematching with difference-in-differences estimation strategy, is applied for correcting theselection bias. Our results are robust to different matching techniques.
