        Transcriptional profiling analysis of OsDT11-mediated ABA-dependent signal pathway for drought tolerance in rice

        Small cysteine-rich peptides (CRPs) are important in plant responses to biotic and abiotic stresses. OsDT11, encoding an 88 amino acid CRP-type protein, has been reported to enhance tolerance to drought in rice (Oryza sativa L.) without negatively afecting other agronomic traits. However, the molecular mechanisms of OsDT11-mediated drought tolerance are still unclear. Here, we performed RNA-Seq analysis to compare the transcriptome profles between wild-type (WT) and OsDT11-overexpressing (OE) rice lines under drought stress or under control (non-drought) conditions. A total of 1570 and 1421 diferentially expressed genes were identifed in the OE lines and the WT under drought treatment, respectively, compared to non-drought conditions. Gene ontology analysis indicated that the 430 up-regulated genes in common to both OE and the WT lines were induced for functions related to responses to water deprivation and to abscisic acid (ABA). More than half of these genes had higher expression in the OE than in the WT under drought stress. In the OE, but not in the WT, 294 genes were specifcally up-regulated under drought stress and were functionally enriched in starch and sucrose biosyn�thetic processes and in response to stress. This implies that OsDT11 not only triggers strongly response to drought stress, but also alters several metabolic processes to enhance drought tolerance. Gene expression profling suggests that OsDT11 confers drought tolerance by mediating an enhanced response to drought stress in an ABA-dependent signaling pathways.

        Enhanced Performance of Near-Infrared-Absorption CdSeTe Quantum Dot-Sensitized Solar Cells Via Octa-Aminopropyl Polyhedral Oligomeric Silsesquioxane Modification

        The charge recombination caused by surface defects limits photovoltaic properties of quantum dot-sensitized solar cells (QDSSCs), which can be suppressed by modifying organic or inorganic molecules and atomic ligands. In this paper, octa-aminopropyl polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (OA-POSS) connected and modified near-infrared absorption CdSeTe quantum dots (QDs) through coupling agent (1-ethyl-3-3-dimethylaminopropyl carbodiimide hydrochloride). The results suggest that OA-POSS reduces the surface defects of CdSeTe QDs and suppresses charge recombination. Therefore, the power conversion efficiency improves nearly 41%, which increases from 2.00% to 2.82%.

        Oxygen vacancies – Cu doping junction control of d-Bi2O3 nanosheets for enhanced photocatalytic nitrogen fixation

        Cu-d-Bi2O3 nanosheets with uniform thickness of approximately 2.7 nm and length about 200 nm forphotocatalytic nitrogen fixation and photocatalytic oxidation is achieved by simple hydrothermalmethod. The 2D ultrathin structure is benefit to the formation of the surface oxygen vacancies, meanwhilethe impurity defect is formed due to the substitutive Cu doping of d-Bi2O3. The as-prepared 5%Cu-d-Bi2O3 exhibits excellent NH4 + generation rate of 142.8 lmol h1 g1 without any sacrificial agentirradiated by visible light. The remarkable photocatalytic ability can be attributed to the ultrafast carrierstransfer from the interior to the surface because of 2D ultrathin structure feature, the separation ofelectrons-holes and molecular chemisorption due to the formation of surface oxygen vacancies andimpurity defect.

      • A Method for Mapping Sensor Data to SSN Ontology

        Along with the continuous development of the sensor network technology, sensors from all over the world are constantly producing sensor data. However, the sensor data from different source is hard to work together for lack of semantic. Fortunately, SSN ontology provide a way to represent sensor data semantically, but how to transform sensor data into the instance of SSN ontology conveniently is still an issue to be considered. This paper proposed a solution to map sensor data to SSN ontology automatically based on a predefined XML-based document. We design a mapping language SASML (Sensors Annotation and Semantic Mapping Language) which provide a schema to annotate sensors and sources so as to generate a XML document for mapping. Then, an algorithm (namely SDRM) is designed to automatically transform sensor data, which described by SASML, to RDF conforming to SSN ontology, according to the mapping document and the element correspondences between the SASML and SSN ontology. Further, a case study about sensor data from greenhouse is presented to illustrate our method, and a prototype is also developed to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness.

        Market Trend Analysis of Cosmetics Products U sing Big Data: Focused on AMOREPACIFIC

        Purpose: As the largest cosmetics company in South Korea, AMOREPACIFIC has been playing the role of a trend maker influencing throughout Asia. The well-established marketing strategies and agile understanding of consumer needs and market changes are particularly important in successful operations of cosmetics companies. The purpose of this study is to use big data to analyze AMOREPACIFIC’s marketing strategies in the past, and uses these results to formulate the future marketing plan. Research design, data, and methodology: In order to achieve the abovementioned research purpose, we first used Textom’s articles, reports and comments on AMOREPACIFIC on NAVER, Daum, Google, Twitter. Secondly we generated a set of big data by means of the keyword, AMOREPACIFIC. And we used R Studio to analyze the generated results. We then deployed the TF-IDF analysis to figure out which marketing programs are effective. Furthermore, in this article we broadly analyzed and summarized related academic papers, dissertations and official websites related reports. Results: Through the collection and text mining of big data, the effectiveness of Amore Taiping’s actual marketing strategy, green tea cosmetics, air cushions, Innisfree, Etude House, Espoir, etc. are making full use of marketing methods to increase customer satisfaction. The marketing strategy has been successful, of course, because of some external environmental factors, the original marketing plan has been transformed from offline to online. This is a big challenge to the development of enterprises and the transformation of marketing strategies. AMOREPACIFIC transformed itself in this transformation and achieved good results in the competition. Conclusion: With the development of global information digitization, this paper uses big data and text mining to analyze the results of marketing strategies for users, shortens the collection time of big data, and can quickly and accurately understand the real needs of customers, and grasp the market. New product development is of great help. It has also played an important role in the transformation of corporate marketing methods. According to the data obtained, AMOREPACIFIC has achieved online marketing success in this challenge.

        Insect industrialization and prospect in commerce: A case of China

        Insects are the largest biological group on the earth, characterized by high biodiversity, easy rearing, and large populations. The utilization of insects in China has a long history and some insect species have contributed to the formation of characteristic industries. Insect products, such as silk and honey, are already familiar to the public; however, many beneficial insects and their products are not well known to most people, for example, lac insect and lac, gall aphid and Chinese gallnut, and insect wax. A new industry featuring the utilization and industrialization of insects has been rising in China. Chemically, insect products are used as raw materials; agriculturally, insects are utilized to pollinate crops for better yield; natural enemy insects have been reared to control pests; insect protein may be used for human food or animal feed; medicinally, chemical compounds may be extracted from insects as active ingredients for pharmaceutical usage; and ornamental butterfly has been applied in travel sightseeing. Insects’ new purpose and function will be exploited as they gain recognition for their resources. This paper reviews insect industrialization in China and discusses the prospect of insect commerce in the future.

        The effect of the material factors on the concrete resistance against carbonation

        The carbonation is one of the main factors to cause the degradation of the properties in the reinforcement concrete structures. In thisstudy, the effect of the material factors, i.e. the type and the particle size of cement, the calcium oxide content in the fly ash, thefineness modulus of fine aggregate, the types and the dosages of superplasticizers (SPs), on the carbonation properties of the concretewas studied. The carbonation coefficient (K) values of the concrete mixtures with various material factors were obtained. The controlindexes of the material to resist against carbonation of the reinforced concrete were proposed. The test results show that the type andthe particle size of cement, the calcium oxide content in the fly ash and the types of SPs have the significant influence on thecarbonation coefficient (K). The concrete mixture with the excellent resistance against carbonation can be prepared by using cementwith the fine particle size and the high-calcium fly ash and the PCA SP of lower dosage in the concrete.

        Clinical Comparison of Proximal Gastrectomy With Double-Tract Reconstruction Versus Total Gastrectomy With Roux-en-Y Anastomosis for Siewert Type II/III Adenocarcinoma of the Esophagogastric Junction

        Purpose The incidence of adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction (AEG) has increased in recent years, and the optimal surgical strategy for AEG remains highly controversial. We aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of proximal gastrectomy with double-tract reconstruction (PG-DT) for the treatment of patients with AEG. Materials and Methods We retrospectively analyzed patients with Siewert type II/III AEG between January 2013 and July 2018. Clinicopathological characteristics, survival, surgical outcomes, quality of life (QOL), and nutritional status were compared between the PG-DT and total gastrectomy with Roux-en-Y anastomosis (TG-RY) groups. Results After propensity score matching, 33 patients in each group were analyzed. There were no statistical differences between the 2 groups in terms of disease-free survival and overall survival. The surgical option was not an independent prognostic factor based on the multivariate analysis. In addition, no differences were found in terms of surgical complications. There were no significant differences in QOL assessed by the Visick grade, Gastrointestinal Symptom Rating Scale, or endoscopic findings. Furthermore, the long-term nutritional advantage of the PG-DT group was significantly greater than that of the TG-RY group. Conclusions PG-DT is a safe and effective procedure for patients with local Siewert type II/III AEG, regardless of the TNM stage.       • Specular Highlight Removal for High Reflection Surface with Linear Diffuser

        In structured light 3D measurement field, when the object has smooth surface, it can form a highlight area due to the specular reflection, and the distortion of the object will make a large measurement error. In order to solve this problem, this paper use seven steps sine-phase shift combined with linear diffuser to remove highlight. Firstly, the principle of removing specular with diffuser is analyzed, then the overall design of the system is introduced, which includes 3D reconstruction and system calibration method. Finally the reconstructed experiments are carried out with ceramic plate. Experimental results show that the proposed method can significantly reduce the highlights area of reconstructed image compared with the highlights area without diffuser. The diffuser can obviously inhibited by highlights, although it can not completely remove the highlights, it plays a very important role in reconstructing specular object with more accurate and better quality.
