The conceptual design of grid-connected wind turbine based on speed regulating differential mechanism

Xiaoming Rui,Rui Su,Xin Wu,Qidong Yin 대한기계학회 2014 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.28 No.6

In view of problems arising from the grid-connected wind turbine with the frequency converter, we propose a conceptual design ofgrid-connected wind turbine based on speed regulating differential mechanism (SRDM). The SRDM regulates its output speed andtorque self-adaptively referring to wind rotor and makes the synchronous generator (SG) keep a constant speed to output electricity insteady frequency without the normal frequency converter and it has excellent low voltage ride through (LVRT). This paper offers thekinematics and dynamics analysis of the designed wind turbine and builds the SIMULINK model based on FAST (fatigue, aerodynamics, structures and turbulence) software. The simulation of speed, torque and power of wind rotor under average wind speed of 12 m/s andturbulence intensity of 20% can verify the feasibility of the designed wind turbine.

The characteristic of the synonymous codon usage and phylogenetic analysis of hepatitis B virus

        Xiaoming Qi,Chaojun Wei,Yonghong Li,Yu Wu,Hui Xu,Rui Guo,Yanjuan Jia,Zhenhao Li,Zhenhong Wei,Wanxia Wang,Jing Jia,Yuanting Li,Anqi Wang,Xiaoling Gao 한국유전학회 2020 Genes & Genomics Vol.42 No.7

Background Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is a crucial medical issue worldwide. The dependence of HBV replication on host cell machineries and their co-evolutionary interactions prompt the codon usage pattern of viral genes to translation selection and mutation pressure. Objective The evolutionary characteristics of HBV and the natural selection effects of the human genome on the codon usage characteristics were analyzed to provide a basis for medication development for HBV infection. Methods The codon usage pattern of sequences from different HBV genotypes of our isolates and reference HBV genome sequences downloaded from the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) database were analyzed by computing the relative synonymous codon usage (RSCU), nucleotide content, codon adaptation index (CAI) and the effective number of codons (ENC). Results The highest ENC values were observed in the C genotypes, followed by the B genotypes. The ENC values indicated a weak codon usage bias (CUB) in HBV genome. The number of codons differentially used between the three genotypes was markedly higher than that of similarly used codons. High CAI values indicated a good adaptability of HBV to its host. The ENC plot indicated the occurrence of mutational pressure in the three genotypes. The mean Ka/Ks ratios in the three genotypes were lower than 1, which indicated a negative selection pressure. The CAI and GC3% plot indicated the existence of CUB in the HBV genome. Conclusions Nucleotide composition, mutation bias, negative selection and mutational pressure are key factors influencing the CUB and phylogenetic diversity in HBV genotypes. The data provided here could be useful for developing drugs for HBV infection.

Clinical Comparison of Proximal Gastrectomy With Double-Tract Reconstruction Versus Total Gastrectomy With Roux-en-Y Anastomosis for Siewert Type II/III Adenocarcinoma of the Esophagogastric Junction

        Ma Xiaoming,Zhao Mingzuo,Wang Jian,Pan Haixing,Wu Jianqiang,Xing Chungen 대한위암학회 2022 Journal of gastric cancer Vol.22 No.3

Purpose The incidence of adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction (AEG) has increased in recent years, and the optimal surgical strategy for AEG remains highly controversial. We aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of proximal gastrectomy with double-tract reconstruction (PG-DT) for the treatment of patients with AEG. Materials and Methods We retrospectively analyzed patients with Siewert type II/III AEG between January 2013 and July 2018. Clinicopathological characteristics, survival, surgical outcomes, quality of life (QOL), and nutritional status were compared between the PG-DT and total gastrectomy with Roux-en-Y anastomosis (TG-RY) groups. Results After propensity score matching, 33 patients in each group were analyzed. There were no statistical differences between the 2 groups in terms of disease-free survival and overall survival. The surgical option was not an independent prognostic factor based on the multivariate analysis. In addition, no differences were found in terms of surgical complications. There were no significant differences in QOL assessed by the Visick grade, Gastrointestinal Symptom Rating Scale, or endoscopic findings. Furthermore, the long-term nutritional advantage of the PG-DT group was significantly greater than that of the TG-RY group. Conclusions PG-DT is a safe and effective procedure for patients with local Siewert type II/III AEG, regardless of the TNM stage. Optimization of Production Conditions for Antioxidant Peptides from Walnut Protein Meal Using Solid-state Fermentation

        Wanxing Wu,Shenglan Zhao,Chaoyin Chen,Feng Ge,Diqiu Liu,Xiaoming He 한국식품과학회 2014 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.23 No.6

Solid-state fermentation (SSF) of walnut proteinmeal (WPM) by Bacillus subtilis was optimized for themaximum degree of hydrolysis (DH) and reducing power(RP) using response surface methodology (RSM). Optimumfermentation conditions were fermentation time of 82.01 h,inoculum concentration of 10.40, and water content of 1.50mL/g. Optimized values were 41.80% and 0.78 for DH andRP, respectively. Walnut peptides (WP) were ultrafiltrationmembrane fractionated. The WPs-II (molecular weight <5kDa) fraction showed the highest RP value. WPs-II showedgood DPPH free radical scavenging and Fe2+ chelatingactivities, higher than for GSH (L-glutathione reduced) atthe same concentration. Amino acid composition analysisof WPs-II showed that Asp, Glu, and Arg were the majoramino acids playing important roles in the antioxidantactivity. WPs is an efficient antioxidant suitable for use asa food additive and as a pharmaceutical agent.

      • Infrared Camera Calibration in the 3D Temperature Field Reconstruction

Sun Xiaoming,Wu Haibin,Wang Wei,Liubo,Cui Guoguang 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Multimedia and Ubiquitous Vol.11 No.6

In order to reconstruct the 3D temperature field based on the binocular vision system, we carry out a research on the calibration of the infrared camera. To start with, we make a calibration board which can be clearly identified by the infrared camera; then, with the help of OpenCV, we implement the calibration of two infrared cameras respectively and rectify the infrared images. According to the parameters obtained from the single infrared camera calibration, we accomplish the stereo calibration. The experimental results show that the average reprojecting error is below 0.14 pixels and when using the system to carry out a real measurement, the average error is 3.12%. The feasibility of the proposed calibration approach is verified, the experimental measurement results is close to the ground truth.

Strategies of Knowledge Pricing and the Impact on Firms’ New Product Development Performance

( Chuanrong Wu ),( Ning Tan ),( Zhi Lu ),( Xiaoming Yang ),( Mark E. Mcmurtrey ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2021 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.15 No.8

The economics of big data knowledge, especially cloud computing and statistical data of consumer preferences, has attracted increasing academic and industry practitioners' attention. Firms nowadays require purchasing not only external private patent knowledge from other firms, but also proprietary big data knowledge to support their new product development. Extant research investigates pricing strategies of external private patent knowledge and proprietary big data knowledge separately. Yet, a comprehensive investigation of pricing strategies of these two types of knowledge is in pressing need. This research constructs an overarching pricing model of external private patent knowledge and proprietary big data knowledge through the lens of firm profitability as a knowledge transaction recipient. The proposed model can help those firms who purchase external knowledge choose the optimal knowledge structure and pricing strategies of two types of knowledge, and provide theoretical and methodological guidance for knowledge transaction recipient firms to negotiate with knowledge providers.

A Novel Least Square and Image Rotation based Method for Solving the Inclination Problem of License Plate in Its Camera Captured Image

( Changcheng Wu ),( Hao Zhang ),( Jiafeng Hua ),( Sha Hua ),( Yanyi Zhang ),( Xiaoming Lu ),( Yichen Tang ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2019 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.13 No.12

Recognizing license plate from its traffic camera captured images is one of the most important aspects in many traffic management systems. Despite many sophisticated license plate recognition related algorithms available online, license plate recognition is still a hot research issue because license plates in each country all round the world lack of uniform format and their camera captured images are often affected by multiple adverse factors, such as low resolution, poor illumination effects, installation problem etc. A novel method is proposed in this paper to solve the inclination problem of license plates in their camera captured images through four parts: Firstly, special edge pixels of license plate are chosen to represent main information of license plates. Secondly, least square methods are used to compute the inclined angle of license plates. Then, coordinate rotation methods are used to rotate the license plate. At last, bilinear interpolation methods are used to improve the performance of license plate rotation. Several experimental results demonstrated that our proposed method can solve the inclination problem about license plate in visual aspect and can improve the recognition rate when used as the image preprocessing method.

Role of Estrogen Receptor-α in the Regulation of Claudin-6 Expression in Breast Cancer Cells

        Liu Yafang,Wu Qiong,Ren Yue,Xu Xiaoming,Yu Lina,Zhang Mingzi,Zhang Ting,Li Yulin,Quan Chengshi 한국유방암학회 2011 Journal of breast cancer Vol.14 No.1

Purpose: In our previous studies we showed that upregulating claudin-6 (CLDN6) expression may contribute to preventing breast cancer, and that 17β-estradiol induces a concentration- and time-related effect on CLDN6 mRNA and protein expression in MCF-7 cells. However, the mechanisms of 17β-estradiol regulation of CLDN6 are still unclear. We determined the role of estrogen receptors in the regulation of CLDN6 expression in human breast cancer tissues and a cell line. Methods: CLDN6, estrogen receptor alpha (ERα) and estrogen receptor beta (ERβ) expression in breast cancer tissues were examined using immunohistochemistry. The human breast cancer cell line, MCF-7, which expresses ERα but not ERβ was used. CLDN6 and ERα expression were measured by reverse transcriptase-PCR, Western blotting and immunofluorescent staining. Treatments with propyl pyrazole triol (PPT) and ICI 182, 780 (ICI) were performed. Results: The results revealed that CLDN6 expression was related to ERα in breast cancer tissues (p=0.033). PPT, an ERα-selective ligand, upregulated CLDN6 expression at 10^(-5) mol/L after 24 hours. The effect of PPT on regulating CLDN6 expression in MCF-7 cells was blocked by ICI. Conclusion: These findings suggest that Erα reulates CLDN6 expression in breast cancer tissues and that 17β- estradiol induces CLDN6 expression through an ERα pathway in MCF-7 cells.
