        Effect of Different Cooling Rates in High Rheological Rate Forming Process on Mechanical Properties of Zr57Cu20Al10Ni8Ag5 Bulk Metallic Glass

        The influence of cooling rates on the mechanical properties of a Zr-based bulk metallic glass prepared with high rheologicalrate forming (HRRF) was investigated and compared with traditional suction cast methods. Amorphous samples of Zr57Cu-20Ni8Al10Ag5 were prepared in copper molds with different sizes in order to obtain different cooling rates for both HRRFand traditional cast methods. These specimens were subjected to compression experiments, including microhardness testing,X-ray diffraction testing and differential scanning calorimetry analysis. The results indicate that the plasticity of the samplesformed by HRRF are higher than that of the as-cast ones at the same cooling rates, while the microhardness manifests theopposite principle. As the cooling rate increases further, the difference in plasticity further increases between two methods,indicating that the plasticity of metallic glasses is more sensitive to cooling rates during the HRRF process. At the core ofthis phenomenon is the fact that HRRF methods can introduce more free volume into glasses than traditional cast methodswith an elevated cooling rate are able to.

        한국 캐릭터산업의 중국시장 진출 방안에 관한 연구

        캐릭터산업은 사용자들의 기호에 부합하여 상업적 목적으로 활용되고 있으며 많은 부가가치 창출 산업으로 인정받고 있다. 높은 부가가치를 창출함에도 불구하고 캐릭터 독창성과 상품화하는 마케팅 부족으로 외국에서 개발된 캐릭터가 중국시장 대부분을 점유하고 있는 실정이다. 본 논문은 한국캐릭터 산업의 중국사업 가능성을 연구하여 중국시장의 진출 및 확대를 고려하고자 하였다. 연구의 비교분석을 위해 캐릭터에 대한 일반적인 유형을 대표적인 캐릭터로 고찰하여 모두가 공감하는 캐릭터의 상식적인 사례를 집중적인 범위로 연구하였다. 세계적으로 일반적이면서도 유명캐릭터로 알려진 캐릭터가 중국에서는 대표적으로 정착한 미국, 일본의 캐릭터사례와 성공요인을 분석하여 한국 캐릭터산업이 중국시장에 성공적으로 진출하는 방안을 정서적, 조형적 분석으로 모색 하고자 한다. 본 연구는 도출된 방안을 활용하여 한국과 중국의 정책적, 문화적인 배경을 중국문헌조사로 분석하고 캐릭터상품과 관련된 시장진출에 필요한 개발프로세스와 마케팅전략의 일환으로 양국의 문화산업 방향을 개발하여 한국 캐릭터산업이 해외성장 가능성 및 성공적인 진출방향과 방안을 현지화로 집중화시키는 것을 제시하고자 하였다. 또한 합작성공을 위한 한국과 중국의 국가정책 통합개발을 제안하여 이미지캐릭터의 공동제작 방법과 지적 재산권 현지출현으로 실질적인 합작방안으로 모색 하고자 하였다. Character is drawing much of public attention in the aspect of design to be used for commercial purpose and accepted as the highest value-added industry. Among this, China`s market would be greatly improved further now, but due to the lack of character creativity and commercialization, the Chinese market was occupied by foreign character. This paper will research the possibility of the South Korea character industry in chinese market and the strategy into and expand the Chinese market. For the comparative analysis, this paper will research the representative characters about the general types of character and focus on the common sense case which the all have empathy on to be the research scope. Beyond that this paper will grope the successful scheme for the South Korean character industry which will expand to the Chinese market by analogizing on typical characters`s success factors of the United States and Japan which are famous and generally known as in the world. This research wants to propose the possibility of Korea character industry to oversea growth and localize the direction and plan of successful advancement by using the export plan, also through the analysis of Chinese literature that we can find the similarly policy and cultural backgrounds between South Korea and China, developing the cultural industry direction of the two countries as part of the character products and the development process and the marketing strategy which is necessary for market entry related to. In addition, we propose national policy Comprehensive development between Korea and China for the success cooperation and Grope for substantive plan for the joint venture and sought to cooperate with the image character`s Common production methods and the appearance of intellectual property rights.

        한국과 중국의 캐릭터 디자인과정 인지적 사고특성 비교분석

        오늘날 디지털 스마트 폰에 기반 한 소비시장에서 캐릭터유통이 확대 되고 캐릭터 자체상품이 독립적인 상품성을 가지며 캐릭터에 관한 다양한 어플리케이션 연구도 활성화 되고 있다. 하지만 캐릭터에 관한 한국과 중국의 디자인과정에 있어 작업자의 작업스타일에 따라 디자인특성의 차이를 보이고 작업의 다양성도 나타나가도 한다. 이러한 디자이너가 창의적인 캐릭터 디자인 개발에 있어서 어떠한 암묵적 사고를 가지며 문제를 해결하고 있는지 심층적 연구와 실험을 통해 연구하고자 하였다. 따라서 인지과학 선행연구를 조사하고 전문가를 대상으로 디자인 과정에 대한 인지실험을 실시하였다. 본 연구실험을 위해 한국과 중국의 캐릭터 작업에 있어 초기 스케치 단계를 질적연구 방법인 프로토콜 분석 방법을 통해 피험자별 디자이너의 작업방법을 녹화하였다. 이러한 녹화실험을 바탕으로 수집된 언어를 코드화 시키고 문제행위에 대한 실증분석을 하였으며 디자이너가 캐릭터를 개발하기 위해 인지적 행위가 어떻게 이루어지는가를 살펴보았으며 캐릭터디자인 프로세스의 각 단계에서 나타나는 행위특성 및 사고특성의 차이점을 파악 하였다. 이러한 인지실험을 통해서 한국과 중국의 디자인 사고과정 연구에 대한 행위 분석을 살펴볼 수 있었으며 디자인 실무분야에서 양국의 디자인 작업과정을 비교 방향을 설정하고, 창의적이고 개성이 있는 결과물을 도출하는데 도움이 될 수 있으리라 생각한다. 이러한 연구는 향후 캐릭터산업 활성화 측면 에 있어서 양국의 상품 마케팅의 실질적인 적용과 새로운 협력개발방법에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 예상된다. Today the distribution of characters in the consumer market based on digital smart phones is expanding, and the characters themselves are sold with independent merchandise, also various application researches about character are being activated. However, depending on the style of worker s work on the design process of Korea and China regarding characters, there are differences in design characteristics and the diversity of work. In this study, we attempted to investigate the implications of these designers on the development of creative character design through in-depth research and experiment. Therefore, previous researches of cognitive science were investigated and cognitive experiments were conducted on design process for experts. For this research experiment, the initial sketch stage in the character work of Korea and China was recorded by the method of the designer by the subject through the protocol analysis method which is the qualitative research method. We coded the collected language based on this recording experiment and analyzed the problem behavior. We examined how the cognitive acts are done by the designer to develop the characters. The behavior characteristics and the accidental characteristics. The differences of the behavioral characteristics and the accidental characteristics in each step of the character design process were identified. Through these cognitive experiments, we could examine the behavior analysis of the design thinking process in Korea and China. In the field of design practice, we can set the direction of the design work process of the two countries and help us to produce creative and individual results. I think. These studies are expected to contribute to practical application of product marketing and new cooperation development methods in terms of activation of character industry in the future.

      • Functional RsaI/PstI Polymorphism in Cytochrome P450 2E1 Contributes to Bladder Cancer Susceptibility: Evidence from a Meta-analysis

        Background: Cytochrome P450 2E1 (CYP2E1) might be involved in the development of bladder cancer. However, previous studies of any association between CYP2E1 RsaI/PstI polymorphism and bladder cancer risk have yielded conflicting results. In this study, we performed a more precise estimation of the relationship by a meta-analysis based on the currently available evidence from the literature. Method: To assess the effect of CYP2E1 RsaI/PstI polymorphism on bladder cancer susceptibility, a meta-analysis of 6 available studies with 1,510 cases and 1,560 controls were performed through Feb 2014. Summary odds ratios (ORs) and corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were used to estimate the strength of association for CYP2E1 RsaI/PstI polymorphism under different genetic models. Results: When available studies were pooled into the meta-analysis, we found that the C1C2 and C2C2 genotypes of CYP2E1 RsaI/PstI polymorphism significantly decreased bladder cancer risk under different genetic models (heterozygote: OR=0.766, 95%CI=0.613-0.957, $P_{OR}$=0.019; homozygote: OR=0.51, 95%CI=0.303-0.858, $P_{OR}$=0.011; dominant: OR=0.733, 95%CI=0.593-0.905, $P_{OR}$=0.004; recessive: OR=0.565, 95%CI=0.337-0.947, $P_{OR}$=0.030). Subgroup analysis indicated that C2C2 genotype was significantly associated with decreased bladder cancer risk under the homozygote genetic model in Caucasians. There was no evidence of heterogeneity or publication bias. Conclusions: The current meta-analysis suggested that the CYP2E1 RsaI/PstI polymorphism might be associated with bladder cancer susceptibility, especially in Caucasians. Further studies are needed to validate the above conclusion.

        Fabrication of Photopolymer Hierarchical Micronanostructures by Coupling Electrospinning and Photolithography for SERS Substrates

        Reported here is the fabrication of photopolymer hierarchical micronanostructures through a combinative process of electrospinning and subsequent photolithography. Electrospun SU-8 (epoxy-based negative photoresist)nanofiber films have been patterned into gratings with periods of 100, 200, 300, and 400 μm, respectively. Deposition of a silver nanolayer on these interlaced nanofiber films would lead to the formation of various plasmonic nanostructures,and therefore, giving rise to abundant surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) “hot spots”. In the detection of Rhodamine 6G (R6G), probing molecule, the resultant SERS substrates show both high sensitivity and good reproducibility. The SERS enhancement factor could reach as high as ~108, indicating high efficiency. The fabrication of patterned, highly efficient SERS substrates may hold a great promise for the integration of SERS substrates in various microdevices such as microfluidic chips.

        The characteristics of the multi-span suspension bridge with double main cables in the vertical plane

        The multi-span suspension bridge having double main cables in the vertical plane is investigated regarding endurance of live load distribution in the case of non-displaced pylon and pylon displacement. The coefficient formula of live load distribution described as the ratio of live load on the bottom cable to the top cable is obtained. Based on this formula, some function in respect of this bridge are derived and used to analyze its characteristics. This analysis targets the cable force, the cable sag and the horizontal displacement at the pylon top under live load etc. The results clarified that the performance of the live load distribution and the horizontal force of cables in the case of non-deformed pylon has a similar tendency to those in the case of deformed pylon, and the increase of pylon rigidity can increase live load distributed to the bottom cable and slightly raise the cable horizontal force under live load. However, effect on the vertical rigidity of bridge and the horizontal force increment of cables caused by live load is different in the case of non-deformed pylon and deformed pylon.

        Serum Levels of the Inflammatory Cytokines in Patients with Lumbar Radicular Pain Due to Disc Herniation

        Study Design: Cohort study. Purpose: This study primarily aimed to evaluate the serum levels of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and interleukin (IL)-4 in patients with lumbar radiculopathy 1 and 12 months after microdiscectomy. Overview of Literature: Lumbar radiculopathy is possibly caused by inflammatory changes in the nerve root. The intraneural application of pro-inflammatory cytokines induces behavioral signs associated with pain. Anti-inflammatory cytokine treatment effectively reduces hyperalgesia. Methods: The role of TNF-α and IL-4 in long-lasting lumbar radiculopathy was addressed. A total of 262 patients were recruited from Anqing Hospital, Anhui Medical University. During inclusion at 1 and 12 months, serum concentrations of TNF-α and IL-4 were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and pain intensity was reported on a 0–10 cm visual analog scale (VAS). Results: Sixty six patients had VAS <3 and 196 patients had VAS ≥3. Serum concentrations of pro-inflammatory TNF-α and antiinflammatory IL-4 in patients with lumbar radiculopathy related to disc herniation were measured at 1- and 12-month follow-up. TNF-α decreased in both VAS groups with time. In contrast, IL-4 increased in both groups at 1 month and then decreased gradually until month 12. The changes in serum levels of TNF-α and IL-4 over time between the VAS ≥3 and VAS <3 groups were significantly different. Conclusions: Chronic lumbar radiculopathy may be associated with high level of pro-inflammatory substances, such as TNF-α, in serum after disc herniation, and elevated anti-inflammatory cytokine in patients with lumbar radiculopathy may indicate a favorable outcome.

        Optimizing the binding activity of the AP2/ERF transcription factor with the GCC box element from Brassica napus by directed evolution

        In this study, we cloned the ERF-B3 subfamily transcription factor gene BnaERF-B3-hy15 from Brassica napus L. Huyou15. This 600 bp gene encodes a 199 amino acid classic ethylene responsive factor (ERF), which shown no binding or very weak binding GCC box-binding activity by the yeast one-hybrid assay. We used gene shuffling and the yeast one-hybrid system to obtain three mutated sequences that can bind to the GCC box. Sequence analysis indicated that two residues, Gly156 in the AP2 domain and Phe62 at the N-terminal domain were mutated to arginine and serine, respectively. Changes of Gly156 to arginine and Phe62 to serine increased the GCC- binding activity of BnaERF-B3-hy15 and the alter of Gly156 to arginine changed the AP2-domain structure of BnaERF-B3- hy15.         Theoretical Analysis and Optimization of Extrinsic Fabry-Perot Interferometer Optical-fiber Humidity-sensor Structures

        The theoretical analysis and optimization of extrinsic Fabry-Perot interferometer (EFPI) opticalfiber humidity sensors are deeply investigated. For a typical dual-cavity structure composed of an optical fiber and a humidity-sensitive membrane (HSM), the changes in refractive index (RI) and initial length are discussed for polymer materials and porous oxide materials when relative humidity (RH) increases. The typical interference spectrum is simulated at different RH using MATLAB. The spectral change caused by changing HSM RI and initial length are simulated simutineously, showing different influences on humidity response. To deeply investigate the influence on RH sensitivity, the typical response sensitivity curves for different HSM lengths and air-cavity lengths are simulated. The results show that the HSM is the vital factor. Short HSM length can improve the sensitivity, but for HSM RI and length the influences on sensitivity are opposite, because of the opposite spectral-shift trend. Deep discussion and an optimization method are provided to solve this problem. According to analysis, an opaque HSM is helpful to improve sensitivity. Furthermore, if using an opaque HSM, a short air cavity and long HSM length can improve the sensor’s sensitivity These results provide deep understanding and some ideas for designing and optimizing highly sensitive EFPI fiber humidity sensors.

        Induction of Apoptosis and Transient Increase of Phosphorylated MAPKs by Diallyl Disulfide Treatment in Human Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma CNE2 Cells

        This study was undertaken to elucidate the effect of diallyl disulfide (DADS), an oil-soluble organosulfur compound found in garlic, in suppressing human nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells. A potent increase (of at least 9-fold) in apoptotic cells has accompanied 1) a decrease in cell viability, 2) a increase of the fraction of S-phase cells by up to 63.8%, and 3) a transient increase of the phospho-p38 and phospho-p42/44 (phosphorylated p38 MAPK and phosphorylated p42/44 MAPK) in a time-and concentration-dependent manner. These results indicate that DADS can induce apoptosis in human nasopharyngeal carcinoma cells via, at least partly, S-phase block of the cell cycle, related to a rise in MAPK phosphorylation.
