In this paper, we introduce and study a class of general strongly nonlinear quasivariational inequalities in Hilbert spaces. We prove the existence and uniqueness of solution and convergence of the perturbed the three-step iterative sequences with errors for this kind of general strongly nonlinear quasivariational inquality problems involving relaxed Lipschitz, relaxed monotone, and strongly monotone mappings. Our results extend, improve, and unify many known results due to Liu-Ume-Kang, Kim-Kyung, Zeng and others.

A facile and effective method has been developed for the synthesis of a novel series of benzofuran derivatives via N-acylation, O-alkylation and intramolecular condensation reactions, starting from readily available substituted o-hydroxy aryl ketone, and chloroacetyl arylamides. This metal-free transition process is characterized by mild reaction conditions, atom economy, short reaction time and a high yield with a decreased amount of by-products.

‘Lingwu Long’ jujube (Ziziphus jujuba cv. Mill) is a fresh fruit variety that is popular in China. Low temperature storage isan important method for retaining fruit quality postharvest. However, jujube fruits are susceptible to surface pitting underlow temperature storage. Therefore, we performed transcriptome analysis to investigate the changes in gene expression insurface-pitted jujube fruit (SPF). First, we developed cDNA libraries of SPF and surface-intact fruit (SIF) that had beenstored at − 1 ± 0.5 °C. As a result, 21,136,649 and 21,663,126 high-quality clean reads were generated and 47,386 contigswere obtained. Second, we performed sequences annotation by gene description and gene ontology (GO term) analysis, which clustered the genes into three functional groups. A total of 2706 predicted proteins were assigned to specific metabolicpathways by the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes database. An analysis of differential gene expression betweenSPF and SIF revealed more than 1210 genes that are differentially expressed in jujube in response to surface-pitting under lowtemperature storage, which are involved in lipid, carbohydrate, energy, amino acid, terpenoids, and polyketides metabolism,as well as membrane transport, signal transduction, translation, signal transduction, and biosynthesis of other secondarymetabolites. We investigated the pattern of phenylalanine ammonia lyase gene expression in SPF by quantitative reversetranscriptionPCR analysis. Our results provide new insights into the biology of surface pitting in jujube, which occurs underlow temperature storage. Our findings help confirm the low-temperature tolerance pathways that function in postharvest fruit.

<P>Various enriched recycled oceanic components in the source of Cenozoic intra-plate alkaline basalts from eastern China were identified by previous studies. Due to the existence of a stagnant subducted Pacific slab in the mantle transition zone beneath eastern China, it is logical to connect the stagnant slab to the recycled oceanic materials. However, the recycled oceanic materials could also result from ancient subduction events (e.g., Paleo-Tethyan, Paleo-Asian or Izanagi plate subduction) because enriched geochemical signatures of a recycled slab can be preserved in the mantle for longer than 1 Gyr. Investigating the temporal variations of the recycled oceanic materials in the mantle source is a useful way to trace the origin of the basalts. In this article, we have conducted a detailed geochemical study, including major and trace elements and Sr-Nd-Pb isotopes, on two alkaline basalt groups from Zhejiang, SE China, which erupted 26-17 Ma and after 11 Ma, respectively. In particular, we recovered the H2O content of the initial magmas based on the H2O content of the clinopyroxene (cpx) phenocrysts and the partition coefficients of H2O between cpx and basaltic melts. The H2O contents of the Zhejiang basalts range from 1.3 to 2.6 (wt.%), which fall within the range of back-arc basin or island arc basalts. The older basalts are more alkaline and have lower Si and Al contents; higher trace element concentrations; higher La/Yb, Ce/Pb and Nb/La ratios; lower H2O/Ce and Ba/Th ratios; and stronger negative K, Pb, Hf and Ti anomalies than the younger ones. The co-relationships between Ba/La, H2O/Ce, Nb/La, Ce/Pb and Ba/Th in the two groups of the Zhejiang basalts indicate that a recycled dehydrated oceanic alkaline basalt component is needed in the source of the older rocks, along with a depleted mantle component. Meanwhile, an additional recycled dehydrated sediment component was required in the source of the younger rocks. The temporal change in the recycled oceanic materials in the mantle sources of Zhejiang Cenozoic basalts demonstrates that the recycled components can only originate in the stagnant Pacific slab that is the only plate subducted since 100 Ma in this area.</P>

The zirconia, alumina, and zirconia-alumina (xZr-Al) supported PtSnIn catalysts were prepared andcomparatively studied for propane dehydrogenation reaction. The structure–function relationships ofthe resultant catalysts are well elucidated upon several state-of-art physico-chemical characterizations. The results show that xZr-Al used as support for trimetallic PtSnIn catalysts exhibits the significantcatalytic performances. The PtSnIn/08Zr-Al catalyst has the highest Pt dispersion accompanied with thesmallest average Pt particles, and it presents the initial propane conversion and propylene selectivityabove 55.0% and 98.0% respectively. The initial propane conversions afterfive reaction–regenerationcycles are all above 55.0% and only decrease little ( 3%).
Optimization of helicon wave current drive in HL-2M tokamak
Liu Hong Bo,Liu Guan Nan,Sun Ai Ping,Xiao Zheng Yao,Li Xin Xia 한국물리학회 2022 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.81 No.5
Helicon waves have been proposed for efcient of-axis current drive in high-performance tokamaks. The HL-2M tokamak will be operated with high plasma beta approaching to 훽N ∼ 4.0%, which provides a good platform to apply helicon wave system in the machine. Based on the helicon wave dispersion relation, efects of electron Landau damping and transit time magnetic pumping on wave absorption are analyzed according to the HL-2M plasma, and then, an optimized scheme of helicon wave parameter is proposed. The evolution of helicon wave electric feld and produced current drive are calculated by the AORSA full-wave code. It shows that current drive efciency of 100 kA/MW can be generally received in the machine. Moreover, the AORSA results are actively benchmarked with the ray-tracing code, and the results show a good consistency. Finally, the numerical convergence and the consumption of computation resources on grid point numbers in AORSA code are discussed.
On the role of surface diffusion in determining the shape or morphology of noble-metal nanocrystals
Xia, Xiaohu,Xie, Shuifen,Liu, Maochang,Peng, Hsin-Chieh,Lu, Ning,Wang, Jinguo,Kim, Moon J.,Xia, Younan National Academy of Sciences 2013 PROCEEDINGS OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCES OF Vol.110 No.17
<P>Controlling the shape or morphology of metal nanocrystals is central to the realization of their many applications in catalysis, plasmonics, and electronics. In one of the approaches, the metal nanocrystals are grown from seeds of certain crystallinity through the addition of atomic species. In this case, manipulating the rates at which the atomic species are added onto different crystallographic planes of a seed has been actively explored to control the growth pattern of a seed and thereby the shape or morphology taken by the final product. Upon deposition, however, the adsorbed atoms (adatoms) may not stay at the same sites where the depositions occur. Instead, they can migrate to other sites on the seed owing to the involvement of surface diffusion, and this could lead to unexpected deviations from a desired growth pathway. Herein, we demonstrated that the growth pathway of a seed is indeed determined by the ratio between the rates for atom deposition and surface diffusion. Our result suggests that surface diffusion needs to be taken into account when controlling the shape or morphology of metal nanocrystals.</P>
Microstructural evolution of carbon nanotube fibers: deformation and strength mechanism.
Liu, Xia,Lu, Weibang,Ayala, Orlando M,Wang, Lian-Ping,Karlsson, Anette M,Yang, Qingsheng,Chou, Tsu-Wei RSC Pub 2013 Nanoscale Vol.5 No.5
<P>A comprehensive investigation of the mechanical behavior and microstructural evolution of carbon nanotube (CNT) continuous fibers under twisting and tension is conducted using coarse-grained molecular dynamics simulations. The tensile strength of CNT fibers with random CNT stacking is found to be higher than that of fibers with regular CNT stacking. The factor dominating the mechanical response of CNT fibers is identified as individual CNT stretching. A simplified twisted CNT fiber model is studied to illustrate the structural evolution mechanisms of CNT fibers under tension. Moreover, it is demonstrated that CNT fibers can be reinforced by enhancing intertube interactions. This study would be helpful not only in the general understanding of the nano- and micro-scale factors affecting CNT fibers' mechanical behavior, but also in the optimal design of CNT fibers' architecture and performance.</P>
