      • Factors on the Adoption Behavior of Digital Wallet: Chinese Youth Perspective

        Tingting Tang(Tingting Tang),Somkiat Mansumitrchai(Somkiat Mansumitrchai ) KINFORMS 2022 Management Review Vol.17 No.2

The main focus of this paper is to determine the antecedents which significantly affect the attitude toward digital wallet adoption in the context of Chinese youth and to explore the moderating role of demographic and behavioral factors on the relationships between digital wallet adoption and its antecedents. The sample consists of 212 respondents. The multiple regression results indicated that perceived complexity and trialability have statistically significant relationships with digital wallet adoption. Moreover, the moderated regression analysis showed that the frequency of usage significantly moderates the relationship between the intention to adopt digital wallets and relative advantages. The findings of this study not only improve understanding of predictors affecting digital wallet adoption and behavioral differences influencing the degree of adoption but also provide insights for digital wallet service providers to redesign and develop their program to increase customer satisfaction rate.

      • A study on the Influencing Factors to China-Pakistan Trade under BRI Initiative

        Jun Tang(Jun Tang),Xuanyu Xing(Xuanyu Xing),Tingting Huang(Tingting Huang) 아시아사회과학학회 2023 Jornal of Asia Social Science Vol.10 No.1

The Belt and Road Initiative is a grand plan proposed by China to promote the common development and prosperity of China and its partner countries. With the construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, the flagship of the Belt and Road Initiative, China-Pakistan relations are getting closer, known as the “iron brother”. Economic cooperation is a key priority for both sides. Under the context of the Belt and Road Initiative, this study uses trade data of China and Pakistan to find out the bilateral trade problems and the influencing factors behind them. This study will discuss the above questions and propose some suggestions for policymakers. Specifically, the discussion of the problems was conducted in terms of GDP, population, comparative advantages, international environment, domestic environment, and other factors respectively. In the conclusion part, the author suggests that the two countries should try to improve their domestic/international environment and reduce policy barriers to promote the trade. Modern industrial parks are encouraged to solve the problems. This study on the influencing factors and economic trade relations between China and Pakistan hopes to provide some academic references to the study of the CPEC and provide some guidance to the policy makers.

BIFURCATION OF A PREDATOR-PREY SYSTEM WITH GENERATION DELAY AND HABITAT COMPLEXITY

        Ma, Zhihui,Tang, Haopeng,Wang, Shufan,Wang, Tingting Korean Mathematical Society 2018 대한수학회지 Vol.55 No.1

In this paper, we study a delayed predator-prey system with Holling type IV functional response incorporating the effect of habitat complexity. The results show that there exist stability switches and Hopf bifurcation occurs while the delay crosses a set of critical values. The explicit formulas which determine the direction and stability of Hopf bifurcation are obtained by the normal form theory and the center manifold theorem.

Assembly of Magnetic Nano-Fe3O4@GSH-Au NCs Core–Shell Microspheres for the Visualization of Latent Fingerprints

        Rui Huang,Tingting Tang 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2018 NANO Vol.13 No.11

Glutathione (GSH), the protective agent and reducing agent, has been widely used to prepare gold nanoclusters (GSH-Au NCs) with stable fluorescence properties and negative charge of the surface. Meanwhile, polyethyleneimine (PEI) was used as the modification agent to synthesize magnetic ferroferric oxide nanoparticles (Fe3O4) with fantastic dispersibility and positive charge of the surface. Based on the electrostatic adsorption force, magnetic nano-Fe3O4@GSH-Au NCs core–shell microspheres composed of magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles modified by PEI as the core and GSH-Au NCs as the shell were assembled. The prepared Fe3O4@GSH-Au NCs microspheres harbored a uniform size (88.6 nm), high magnetization (29.2 emu/g) and excellent fluorescence. Due to the coordination bond action between Au atom and sulfhydryl (–SH), amino (–NH2), carboxyl (–COOH) in sweat, Fe3O4@GSH-Au NCs could combine with latent fingerprints. In addition, Fe3O4@GSH-Au NCs with good fluorescence and magnetism could detect fingerprints on various objects. Significantly, the powders were not easy to suspend in the air, which avoided the damage to the health of forensic experts and the fingerprints by only powder contacting. Above all, Fe3O4@GSH-Au NCs was successfully applied to the latent fingerprint visualization, which has great potential in forensic science.

Major ginsenosides from Panax ginseng promote aerobic cellular respiration and SIRT1-mediated mitochondrial biosynthesis in cardiomyocytes and neurons

        Huang, Qingxia,Lou, Tingting,Lu, Jing,Wang, Manying,Chen, Xuenan,Xue, Linyuan,Tang, Xiaolei,Qi, Wenxiu,Zhang, Zepeng,Su, Hang,Jin, Wenqi,Jing, Chenxu,Zhao, Daqing,Sun, Liwei,Li, Xiangyan The Korean Society of Ginseng 2022 Journal of Ginseng Research Vol.46 No.6

Background: Aerobic cellular respiration provides chemical energy, adenosine triphosphate (ATP), to maintain multiple cellular functions. Sirtuin 1 (SIRT1) can deacetylate peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma coactivator 1 alpha (PGC-1α) to promote mitochondrial biosynthesis. Targeting energy metabolism is a potential strategy for the prevention and treatment of various diseases, such as cardiac and neurological disorders. Ginsenosides, one of the major bioactive constituents of Panax ginseng, have been extensively used due to their diverse beneficial effects on healthy subjects and patients with different diseases. However, the underlying molecular mechanisms of total ginsenosides (GS) on energy metabolism remain unclear. Methods: In this study, oxygen consumption rate, ATP production, mitochondrial biosynthesis, glucose metabolism, and SIRT1-PGC-1α pathways in untreated and GS-treated different cells, fly, and mouse models were investigated. Results: GS pretreatment enhanced mitochondrial respiration capacity and ATP production in aerobic respiration-dominated cardiomyocytes and neurons, and promoted tricarboxylic acid metabolism in cardiomyocytes. Moreover, GS clearly enhanced NAD+-dependent SIRT1 activation to increase mitochondrial biosynthesis in cardiomyocytes and neurons, which was completely abrogated by nicotinamide. Importantly, ginsenoside monomers, such as Rg1, Re, Rf, Rb1, Rc, Rh1, Rb2, and Rb3, were found to activate SIRT1 and promote energy metabolism. Conclusion: This study may provide new insights into the extensive application of ginseng for cardiac and neurological protection in healthy subjects and patients.

Optimal Allocation Strategy Based on Stackelberg Game for Inspecting Drunk Driving on Traffic Network

( Yingmo Jie ),( Mingchu Li ),( Tingting Tang ),( Cheng Guo ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2017 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.11 No.12

As the main means to cope with the stubborn problem of drunk driving, the inspection of drunk driving has already been paid more attention and thus reinforced. In this paper, we model this scenario as a Stackelberg game, where the police department (called defender) allocates resources dynamically in terms of the traffic situation on the traffic network to arrest drink drivers and drivers who drink (called attacker), whether choosing drunk driving or designated driving service, expect to minimize their cost for given travel routes. However, with the number of resources are limited, our goal is to calculate the optimal resource allocation strategy for the defender. Therefore, first, we provide an effective approach (named OISDD) to fulfill our goal, i.e., generate the optimal strategy to inspect drunk driving. Second, we apply OISDD to directed graphs (which are abstracted from Dalian traffic network) to analyze and test its correctness and rationality. The experimental results show that OISDD is feasible and efficient.

Dual-Responsive Cross-Linked Micelles from Amphiphilic Four-Arm Star Copolymers with Different Block Ratios for Triggering DOX Release

        Yunwei Huang,Yanzhe Li,Zilun Tang,Qiuping Su,Tingting Liao,Yuxin Gu,Xiaofeng Lin,Xihong Zu,Wenjing Lin,Guobin Yi 한국고분자학회 2020 Macromolecular Research Vol.28 No.8

The four-arm star copolymers poly(methacrylic acid)-poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate-disulfide~)-poly(poly(ethylene glycol) methyl ether methacrylate) (4AS-PMAAx-(PHEMA-SS~)y-PPEGMAz) with four different block ratios were synthesized and could self-assembled into cross-linked polymer micelles for the exploration of the structure-property relationship. The cross-linked polymer micelles in aqueous solution had low critical micelle concentration (CMC) values (1.9-4.6 mg/L), which exhibited better stability than non-cross-linked micelles. The CMC value decreased with the increase of the length of inner PMAA core and hydrophobic PHEMA cross-linked middle layer. The blank and doxorubicin (DOX)- loaded micelles with different block ratios were prepared by dialysis with the particle sizes of 120-240 nm. The longer inner PMAA core and cross-linked middle layer enhanced the drug loading content (DLC) results and led to relatively bigger particle sizes of polymer micelles. The in vitro DOX release data revealed that DOX-loaded micelles had low DOX cumulative release percentages of 18-37% after 110 h at pH 7.4, but up to 83-90% when introducing reductant GSH at pH 5.0. The 4AS-PMAA21.2-(PHEMASS~) 13.1-PPEGMA5.1 micelles with the longest PMAA core had the largest cumulative release of 90.1%. The DOX release process and mechanism of the micelles at different conditions fitted well with the semi-empirical equation. Overall, the results demonstrated that the block ratios and pH/redox-responsiveness of these four-arm star copolymers could be well-controlled and their self-assembled cross-linked micelles as anticancer drug carrier system could be improved by optimizing the different ratios.

Gemcitabine Inhibits the Progression of Pancreatic Cancer by Restraining the WTAP/MYC Chain in an m6A-Dependent Manner

        Pei Cao,Weigang Zhang,Junyi Qiu,Zuxiong Tang,Xiaofeng Xue,Tingting Feng 대한암학회 2024 Cancer Research and Treatment Vol.56 No.1

Purpose Pancreatic cancer (PC) is a common malignant tumor of the digestive system, and its 5-year survival rate is only 4%. N6-methyladenosine (m6A) RNA methylation is the most common post-transcriptional modification and dynamically regulates cancer development, while its role in PC treatment remains unclear.Materials and Methods We treated PC cells with gemcitabine and quantified the overall m6A level with m6A methylation quantification. Real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and Western blot analyses were used to detect expression changes of m6A regulators. We verified the m6A modification on the target genes through m6A-immunoprecipitation (IP), and further <i>in vivo</i> experiments and immunofluorescence (IF) assays were applied to verify regulation of gemcitabine on Wilms’ tumor 1–associated protein (WTAP) and MYC.Results Gemcitabine inhibited the proliferation and migration of PC cells and reduced the overall level of m6A modification. Additionally, the expression of the “writer” WTAP was significantly downregulated after gemcitabine treatment. We knocked down WTAP in cells and found target gene MYC expression was significantly downregulated, m6A-IP also confirmed the m6A modification on MYC. Our experiments showed that m6A-MYC may be recognized by the “reader” IGF2BP1. <i>In vivo</i> experiments revealed gemcitabine inhibited the tumorigenic ability of PC cells. IF analysis also showed that gemcitabine inhibited the expression of WTAP and MYC, which displayed a significant trend of co-expression.Conclusion Our study confirmed that gemcitabine interferes with WTAP protein expression in PC, reduces m6A modification on MYC and RNA stability, thereby inhibiting the downstream pathway of MYC, and inhibits the progression of PC.

Combining Non-Contrast CT Signs With Onset-to-Imaging Time to Predict the Evolution of Intracerebral Hemorrhage

        Song Lei,Qiu Xiaoming,Zhang Cun,Zhou Hang,Guo Wenmin,Ye Yu,Wang Rujia,Xiong Hui,Zhang Ji,Tang Dongfang,Zou Liwei,Wang Longsheng,Yu Yongqiang,Guo Tingting 대한영상의학회 2024 Korean Journal of Radiology Vol.25 No.2

Objective: This study aimed to determine the predictive performance of non-contrast CT (NCCT) signs for hemorrhagic growth after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) when stratified by onset-to-imaging time (OIT). Materials and Methods: 1488 supratentorial ICH within 6 h of onset were consecutively recruited from six centers between January 2018 and August 2022. NCCT signs were classified according to density (hypodensities, swirl sign, black hole sign, blend sign, fluid level, and heterogeneous density) and shape (island sign, satellite sign, and irregular shape) features. Multivariable logistic regression was used to evaluate the association between NCCT signs and three types of hemorrhagic growth: hematoma expansion (HE), intraventricular hemorrhage growth (IVHG), and revised HE (RHE). The performance of the NCCT signs was evaluated using the positive predictive value (PPV) stratified by OIT. Results: Multivariable analysis showed that hypodensities were an independent predictor of HE (adjusted odds ratio [95% confidence interval] of 7.99 [4.87–13.40]), IVHG (3.64 [2.15–6.24]), and RHE (7.90 [4.93–12.90]). Similarly, OIT (for a 1-h increase) was an independent inverse predictor of HE (0.59 [0.52–0.66]), IVHG (0.72 [0.64–0.81]), and RHE (0.61 [0.54– 0.67]). Blend and island signs were independently associated with HE and RHE (10.60 [7.36–15.30] and 10.10 [7.10–14.60], respectively, for the blend sign and 2.75 [1.64–4.67] and 2.62 [1.60–4.30], respectively, for the island sign). Hypodensities demonstrated low PPVs of 0.41 (110/269) or lower for IVHG when stratified by OIT. When OIT was ≤ 2 h, the PPVs of hypodensities, blend sign, and island sign for RHE were 0.80 (215/269), 0.90 (142/157), and 0.83 (103/124), respectively. Conclusion: Hypodensities, blend sign, and island sign were the best NCCT predictors of RHE when OIT was ≤ 2 h. NCCT signs may assist in earlier recognition of the risk of hemorrhagic growth and guide early intervention to prevent neurological deterioration resulting from hemorrhagic growth.
