        The Information Distribution Role of Facebook in Universities

        Purpose: The paper employs the theory of planned behaviour, social identity theory, social presence theory, and social exchange theory to propose a model for using the social media platform Facebook in distributing information in universities. Research design, data and methodology: Data were obtained from 618 students at Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) in Vietnam. The study used structural equation modeling in SPSS and the statistical analysis software AMOS version 24 to explore the information distribution role of Facebook. Results: Findings reveal that subjective norms and social presence play a key role in driving students to use Facebook for studying. In addition, university administrators can boost student satisfaction and academic achievement through Facebook. Interestingly, students who strongly identify with the brand name of the university have a strong connection with the university are more likely to engage in behaviors supportive toward the university. Conclusions: These findings show that Facebook had played a key information distribution role in universities. Thus, the study provides the executive board of the university and teachers can gain new understanding of why students employ Facebook for studying as well as capitalize on the platform to improve several operational metrics such as brand identification, student satisfaction, and academic achievement.

      • Evaluation of Sandblasting on Mechanical Properties and Cell Response of Bioactive Glass Infiltrated Zirconia

        <P>This study investigated the mechanical properties and initial cell response of bioactive glass infiltrated zirconia before and after sandblasting. One hundred zirconia specimens were divided into the following four groups: untreated zirconia (ZR), sandblasted zirconia (ZS), glass infiltrated zirconia (ZG), and sandblasted glass infiltrated zirconia (ZGS). Surface roughness, biaxial flexural strength, hardness and osteoblast cells proliferation were evaluated. ZGS group showed a slight decrease in hardness. However it has improvement in flexural strength (686.2 MPa). After sandblasting, the ZGS group had the highest surface roughness (Ra = 1.24 mu m) with enhanced osteoblast cells response. Our results indicated that sandblasting method can improve the mechanical properties of bioactive glass infiltrated zirconia with better osteoblast cell response. This new surface is promising for zirconia dental implant application in the future.</P>

        High-performance nonenzymatic electrochemical glucose biosensor based on AgNP-decorated MoS2 microflowers

        A facile hydrothermal route was used to synthesize silver nanoparticle (AgNP)-decorated microflower molybdenum disulfide (MoS2-MF) for bio-electrochemical platform fabrication to detect nonenzymatic glucose concentration. The morphologies of the materials were studied by scanning electron microscopy, and their structural characteristics were analyzed by X-ray diffractometry and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The electrochemical characteristics of the AgNPs/MoS2-MF/PtE biosensor were studied by cyclic voltammetry. The obtained data indicated that the developed nonenzymatic glucose sensor has a large linear response between 1.0 and 15.0 mM, a limit of detection of as low as 1.0 mM, and a sensitivity of 46.5 μA nM-1 cm-2. The biosensor also displayed outstanding selectivity, stability, reproducibility, and repeatability. Additionally, the AgNPs/MoS2-MF/ PtE biosensor was utilized to detect glucose concentration in real sample and showed practical application potential for glucose detection.

        Acid etching of glass-infiltrated zirconia and its biological response

        PURPOSE. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of acid etching treatment on surface characteristics and biological response of glass-infiltrated zirconia. MATERIALS AND METHODS. A hundred zirconia specimens were divided into four groups depending on surface treatments: untreated zirconia (group Z); acid-etched zirconia (group ZE); glass-infiltrated zirconia (group ZG); and glass-infiltrated and acid-etched zirconia (group ZGE). Surface roughness, surface topography, surface morphology, and Vickers hardness of specimens were evaluated. For biological response test, MC3T3-E1 cell attachment and proliferation on surface of the specimens were examined. The data were statistically analyzed using one-way ANOVA and Tukey's HSD test at a significance level of 0.05. RESULTS. Group ZGE showed the highest surface roughness ($Ra=1.54{\mu}m$) compared with other groups (P < .05). Meanwhile, the hardness of group Z was significantly higher than those of other groups (P < .05). Cell attachment and cell proliferation were significantly higher in group ZGE (P < .05). CONCLUSION. We concluded that effective surface roughness on zirconia could be made by acid etching treatment after glass infiltration. This surface showed significantly enhanced osteoblast cell response.

        HER2 Status and Its Heterogeneity in Gastric Carcinoma of Vietnamese Patient

        Background: Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) is related to the pathogenesis and poor outcome of numerous types of carcinomas, including gastric carcinoma. Gastric cancer patients with HER2 positivity have become potential candidates for targeted therapy with trastuzumab. Methods: We investigated 208 gastric cancer specimens using immunohistochemistry (IHC), fluorescence in situ hybridization and dual in situ hybridization (ISH). We also investigated the concordance between IHC and ISH. The correlation between HER2 status and various clinicopathological findings was also investigated. Results: In total, 15.9% (33/208) and 24.5% (51/208) of gastric cancers showed HER2 gene amplification and protein overexpression, respectively. A high level of concordance between ISH and IHC analyses (91.3%, κ = 0.76) was found. A significant correlation between HER2 status and intestinal-type (p < .05) and differentiated carcinomas (p < .05) was also noted. The HER2 heterogeneity was high in gastric cancers; we found 68.8% phenotypic heterogeneity and 57.6% genotypic heterogeneity. Heterogeneity in HER2 protein expression and gene amplification showed a close association with diffuse histologic type and IHC 2+. Conclusions: HER2 protein overexpression and gene amplification were detected in 24.5% and 15.9% of gastric cancer specimens, respectively. Intestinal-type showed a higher level of HER2 protein overexpression and gene amplification than diffuse type. HER2 status also showed a significant relationship with well- and moderately-differentiated carcinomas. The ratio of phenotypic and genotypic heterogeneity of HER2 was high in gastric carcinomas and was associated with HER2 IHC 2+ and diffuse histologic type.

        한국의 국가이미지와 제품이미지가 베트남 소비자의 전자제품 구매의도에 미치는 영향 -한류의 조절효과를 중심으로-

        본 연구는 베트남시장에서 한국의 국가이미지와 전자제품이미지가 구매의도에 영향을 주는지, 더불어 한류가 그 관계를 어떻게 조절하는지에 관하여 알아보기 위해 실증분석을 하였다. 총 209명의 베트남소비자를 대상으로 분석한 결과, 베트남시장에서의 한국 국가이미지와 한국의 전자제품이미지는 베트남 소비자들의 구매의도에 직접적인 영향을 주는 것으로 분석되었다. 또한 한류는 국가이미지와 제품이미지가 구매의도에 영향을 주는 데 있어서 그 영향을 강화시키는 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 즉 국가이미지나 제품이미지가 구매의도로 연결될 때 베트남시장에서 부는 한류의 바람은 베트남 소비자들로 하여금 한국의 전자제품을 구매하도록 하는 촉매역할을 할 수 있다는 의미를 내포한다. 그러므로 베트남의 전자제품시장에서 한국제품의 경쟁력을 높이기 위해서는 한국 국가이미지와 전자제품이미지의 관리와 한류의 긍정적인 효과를 극대화할 수 있는 전략을 강구해야 할 것이다. This paper analyses the effect of national image of Korea and electronics image on customer’s purchase intention in Vietnam market. And more specifically, we consider Korean wave(Hallyu) as moderator which enhance on the relationship between independent variables(national image and product image) and dependent variable(purchase intention). Based on the 209 survey from Vietnamese consumers, the empirical results are as follows. First, the more the Korea image and the Korean electronic goods image become better, the more consumers intent to purchase Korean electronics. Secondly, Hallyu also affect directly to the Korean product buying intention. it also shows a moderating effect between the national/product image and the purchase intention. To encourage the Vietnamese purchase demand, Korean firms effort to promote the National image of Korea over the world. In addition, they will enhance the competitive capacity of product price, quality and design etc. in Vietnam market. Korean firms need to take more advantages of Hallyu in order to expand the Korean product in Vietnam market.
