Automatic design, planning and drawing of scaffolding system for constructions

Temporary scaffold systems in the construction site play an important role for ensuring the safety of the workers and for constructing the stable structures. To assemble the scaffold, the pipe scaffolding system, the wedge binding scaffolding system and the particular materials have been utilized. To design the material arrangement of a scaffold, firstly the configuration was determined considering the construction geometry. Then, the strength of the scaffold was confirmed and the quantity of the material was accounted. In this paper, the design method of the temporary scaffold was proposed for intending the semi-automatic procedure. In the proposed design method, the geometric design and the safety requirement were specified by the safety standard and the design flow was followed by the designer's knowledge. The size and the quantities of the materials were calculated by referring to the relation between the scaffold and the constructing structure. In the calculating procedure, three dimensional positions of each scaffold materials were calculated and recorded simultaneously. Then, three dimensional scaffold structural was drawn semi-automatically on the CAD software by using the obtained material sizes, positions and directions. The proposed design method provides us the precise quantities of scaffold materials and enables us to reduce the design effort and the cost estimation processes. In addition, the obtained results can be applied to BIM software after converting to IFC format.

We have been proposed a VLD architecture that includes many comparators and can reconfigure the circuit structure adaptively, corresponding to VLC table number. For analyzing performance of the circuit, a functional simulation program of the proposed VLD circuit was developed. In this paper, we show the output result of the simulation program.

The characteristic muonic X-ray measuring system for low pressure gas sample was constructed to investigate the initial process of muonic atom formation. Low background characteristic muonic X-ray spectra were obtained for neon (1.0 bar) and nitrogen mono-oxide samples (0.99 bar) by muon irradiation with 19 MeV/c. The deviation of characteristic muonic X-ray intensity patterns both for muonic nitrogen and oxygen atoms in nitrogen mono-oxide sample between our low pressure experiment and the previous high pressure experiment was found. Muon capture probability was also determined and compared with the previous work and empirical estimations.
Magnetism and Superconductivity in CeCu2Ge2 under High Pressures and Magnetic Fields

We measured the electrical resistivity of CeCu2Ge2 under various high pressures and strongmagnetic fields. Beyond the previous antiferromagnetic critical pressure Pc ' 8 GPa, the antiferromagneticphase is found to exist at much higher pressure of 10.9 GPa even in magnetic fields upto 8 T. The pressure vs. temperature phase diagram and the magnetic field vs. temperature phasediagram under high pressure were constructed. The pressure-induced antiferromagnetic phase isstill observed and coexists with pressure-induced superconductivity at 10.9 GPa.
<sup>123</sup>I-Labeled oxLDL Is Widely Distributed Throughout the Whole Body in Mice

Purpose Oxidized low-density lipoprotein (oxLDL) plays a key role in endothelial dysfunction, vascular inflammation, and atherogenesis. The aim of this study was to assess blood clearance and in vivo kinetics of radiolabeled oxLDL in mice. Methods We synthesized $^{123}I-oxLDL$ by the iodine monochloride method, and performed an uptake study in CHO cells transfected with lectin-like oxLDL receptor-1 (LOX-1). In addition, we evaluated the consistency between the $^{123}I-oxLDL$ autoradiogram and the fluorescence image of DiI-oxLDL after intravenous injection for both spleen and liver. Whole-body dynamic planar images were acquired 10 min post injection of $^{123}I-oxLDL$ to generate regional time-activity curves (TACs) of the liver, heart, lungs, kidney, head, and abdomen. Regional radioactivity for those excised tissues as well as the bladder, stomach, gut, and thyroid were assessed using a gamma counter, yielding percent injected dose (%ID) and dose uptake ratio (DUR). The presence of $^{123}I-oxLDL$ in serum was assessed by radio-HPLC. Results The cellular uptakes of $^{123}I-oxLDL$ were identical to those of DiI-oxLDL, and autoradiograms and fluorescence images also exhibited consistent distributions. TACs after injection of $^{123}I-oxLDL$ demonstrated extremely fast kinetics. The radioactivity uptake at 10 min post-injection was highest in the liver ($40.8{\pm}2.4%$ ID). Notably, radioactivity uptake was equivalent throughout the rest of the body ($39.4{\pm}2.7%$ ID). HPLC analysis revealed no remaining $^{123}I-oxLDL$ or its metabolites in the blood. Conclusion $^{123}I-oxLDL$ was widely distributed not only in the liver, but also throughout the whole body, providing insight into the pathophysiological effects of oxLDL.
Image of Purple and Orange by Pleasantness Seekers and Comfortableness Seekers

Following Takahashi and Hanari (2015) and Takahashi, Hanari, and Miyake (2016), relationship between individual’s color preference and his/her personality concerning pleasantness and comfortableness was examined. A hundred and seventy-nine university students answered the questionnaire that asked his/her degree of preference of twelve colors, tendency of seeking pleasantness and comfortableness, and the image of purple and orange colors. The results showed that pleasantness seeking had a positive correlation with restful image for purple, and comfortableness seeking had a positive correlation with restful image for orange. These correlations suggested mental affinity between pleasantness and purple color, and between comfortableness and orange color. However, in the present study, color preference data did not show the same tendency as previous studies; purple preference had no relationship with pleasantness seeking, and orange preference had no relationship with comfortableness seeking. Though the underlying psychological process that links our good feelings and certain colors has become clearer by the present findings, further research is needed with some procedural improvements.
