Hybrid automatic repeat request (H-ARQ) system using the cross layer coding suitable for future mobile communication and radio data communication system. In this paper introduce cross layer coding and HARQ type, proposed H-ARQ system using cross layer coding methods. Simulate BER performance and Throughput. And we suggest that according to channel condition suitable H-ARQ type.
A Study on MPE-FEC decoding base on LLR method in DVB-SSP system

In this paper, we described DVB-SSP system for mobility. The DVB-SSP for mobility system used cross layer scheme which is consist of e-RS(erasure Reed-Solomon), virtual interleaver and LDPC. Erasure data for e-RS decoding is detected by CRC check in conventional DVB-SSP system. However, this paper proposed erasure data detecting method by LLR value of LDPC. It is called LLR method. Through the simulation results, we know that the performance of LLR method is better than conventional CRC method as 0.2㏈.
An Efficient Design Methodology of Serial Concatenate Coding Scheme for CATV Transmission System

This paper describes the design methodology of serial concatenate of extended RS code, trellis coded modulation with 64-/256-QAM, based upon testing and characterization of cable systems. In implementing the cable modem, there are some problems to fabricate and fitting on FPGA chip. First, many clocks are needed in implementing cable modem because of different code rate and different modulation types. To reduce the number of clocks, we use the two memories, which are different clock speed for reading and writing data. Second, this system lost the bit-synchronization and framesynchronization in decoder, the system recognizes that all data is error. This paper solves the problems by using simple 5-stage registers and unique sync-word. Based on solutions for about problems, the cable modem is fabricated on FPGA chip name as Vertex Ⅱ pro xc2vp30-5 by Xilinx, and we confirmed the effectiveness of the results.
차세대 T-DMB 방송의 부가서비스 제공을 위한 계층적 전송방식에 대한 연구

본 논문에서는 기존의 Eureka-147 표준안 기반 지상파 DMB 방송의 성능을 저하시키지 않으면서도 부가서비스를 첨가하기 위하여, UEP 방법과 계층적 변조기법을 적용하여 차세대 지상파 DMB 방송 시스템을 제안하였다. 비균등 16QAM 방식을 사용한 차세대 지상파 DMB 방송 시스템에 다양한 비트분리 방법과 부가서비스 스트림에 DVB-RCS 규격의 double binary turbo code와 DVB-S2 규격의 LDPC등을 적용하여 그 성능을 시뮬레이션 하여 보았다. 그 결과 기존의 지상파 DMB 채널 코딩방식에 비해 double binary turbo code와 LPDC 부호가 각각 2㏈, 3.5㏈의 성능이 향상되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. In this paper, we proposed advanced T-DMB system which is based on Eureka-147 using UEP coding methods and hiererchical modulation for providing additional services while maintaining BER performance. We simulated the proposed advanced T-DMB system using unequal 16QAM modulation scheme combined with various bit split methods and coding methods such as double binary turbo code of DVB-RCS standard and LDPC code of DVB-S2 standard. In the simulation results, double binary turbo code and LDPC code of proposed advanced T-DMB system have coding gain of 2㏈ and 3.5㏈ compared to conventional T-DMB system respectively.
Immobilization of Xylanase Using a Protein-Inorganic Hybrid System

In this study, the immobilization of xylanase using a protein-inorganic hybrid nanoflower system was assessed to improve the enzyme properties. The synthesis of hybrid xylanase nanoflowers was very effective at 4°C for 72 h, using 0.25 mg/ml protein, and efficient immobilization of xylanase was observed, with a maximum encapsulation yield and relative activity of 78.5% and 148%, respectively. Immobilized xylanase showed high residual activity at broad pH and temperature ranges. Using birchwood xylan as a substrate, the V<sub>max</sub> and K<sub>m</sub> values of xylanase nanoflowers were 1.60 mg/ml and 455 μmol/min/mg protein, compared with 1.42 mg/ml and 300 μmol/min/mg protein, respectively, for the free enzyme. After 5 and 10 cycles of reuse, the xylanase nanoflowers retained 87.5% and 75.8% residual activity, respectively. These results demonstrate that xylanase immobilization using a proteininorganic hybrid nanoflower system is an effective approach for its potential biotechnological applications.
차세대 DVB-RCS 시스템을 위한 저 계산량 연판정 e-BCH 복호 알고리즘

본 논문에서는 Chase 알고리즘 기반의 연판정 e-BCH 복호시 계산량을 감소하는 알고리즘을 제시하였다. Chase 알고리즘 기반의 연판정 e-BCH 복호 방식은 test pattern을 만들기 위해 수신 데이터 중 신뢰성이 낮은 데이터를 순서대로 찾기 위해 ordering을 한다. 데이터를 ordering하는 과정과 test pattern 수 만큼을 수신 데이터와 비교함으로써 최적의 복호 열을 찾는 과정에서 높은 복잡도가 요구되며, 본 논문에서는 이러한 복잡도를 줄이는 방안을 제시하여 계산량 및 성능 관점에서 비교 분석하였다. In this paper, we proposed the low computational complexity soft-decision e-BCH decoding algorithm based on the Chase algorithm. In order to make the test patterns, it is necessary to re-order the least reliable received symbols. In the process of ordering and finding optimal decoding symbols, high computational complexity is required. Therefore, this paper proposes the method of low computational complexity algorithm for soft-decision e-BCH decoding process.
