From August 2 to 3 in 2017. Koran Arachnological Study members investigated the Spiders in the whole area Incheon Namdong-gu, and reported 14 Families, 38 Genus 50 Species of spiders. The collected spiders are placed (stored) in the Joo-Pil Spider museum.

Mutations in the luteinizing hormone/chorionic gonadotropin receptors (LH/CGRs), representatives of the G protein-coupled receptor family, have been rapidly identified over the last 20 years. This review aims to compare and analyze the data reported the activating and inactivating mutations of the LH/CGRs between human, rat, equine and fish, specifically (Japanese eel Anguilla japonica). Insights obtained through detailed study of these naturally-occurring mutations provide a further update of structure-function relationship of these receptors. Specifically, we present a variety of data on eel LH/CGR. These results provide important information about LH/CGR function in fish and the regulation of mutations of the highly conserved amino acids in glycoprotein hormone receptors.

Management of Blood Loss in Hip Arthroplasty: Korean Hip Society Current Consensus

The volume of hip arthroplasty is stiffly increasing because of excellent clinical outcomes, however it has not been shown to decrease the incidence of transfusions due to bleeding related to this surgery. This is an important consideration since there are concerns about the side effects and social costs of transfusions. First, anemia should be assessed at least 30 days before elective hip arthroplasty, and if the subject is diagnosed as having anemia, an additional examination of the cause of the anemia should be carried and steps taken to address the anemia. Available iron treatments for anemia take 7 to 10 days to facilitate erythropoiesis, and preoperative iron supplementation, either oral or intravenous, is recommended. When using oral supplements for iron storage, administer elemental iron 100 mg daily for 2 to 6 weeks before surgery, and calculate the dose using intravenous supplement. Tranexamic acid (TXA) is a synthetic derivative of the lysine component, which reduces blood loss by inhibiting fibrinolysis and clot degradation. TXA is known to be an effective agent for reducing postoperative bleeding and reducing the need for transfusions in primary and revision total hip arthroplasties. Patient blood management has improved the clinical outcome after hip arthroplasty through the introduction and research of various agents, thereby reducing the need for allogeneic blood transfusions and reducing the risk of transfusion-related infections and the duration of hospitalizations.
Application of Hot Start PCR Method in PCR-based Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis

Purpose: To determine a method to improve the efficacy and accuracy of preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD)-polymerase chain reaction (PCR), we compared hot start PCR and conventional multiplex nested PCR. Materials and Methods: This study was performed with single lymphocyte isolated from whole blood samples that were obtained from two couples with osteogenesis imperfecta (OI). We proceeded with conventional multiplex nested PCR and hot start PCR in which essential reaction components were physically removed, and we compared the amplification rate, allele dropout rate and nonspecific products. Afterward, we used selective method for PGD. Results: In the two couples, the respective amplification rate were 93.5% and 80.0% using conventional multiplex nested PCR and 95.5% and 92.0% using hot start PCR. The respective mean allele dropout rates for the two couples were 42.0% and 14.0% with conventional multiplex nested PCR and 36.0% and 6.0% with hot start PCR. Conclusion: The results demonstrate that the hot start PCR procedure provides higher amplification rates and lower allele dropout rate than the conventional method and that it decreased the nonspecific band in multiplex nested PCR. The hot start method is more efficient for analyzing a single blastomere in clinical PGD.

Aims: Intestinal microbiota is known to be closely associated with the incidence of obesity and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). This study aimed to investigate effects of probiotics treatment on visceral fat area (VFA) and intrahepatic fat (IHF) fraction in NAFLD. Methods: Sixty-eight obese NAFLD patients (>5% fat fraction using MRI-derived proton density fat fraction (PDFF)) divided into the probiotics and the placebo group for twelve weeks. The probiotics mixture consists of six kinds of probiotics. VFA and IHF measured by MRI-PDFF. Body fat and muscle composition was evaluated by multi-frequency bioimpedence analysis. Liver stiffness was measured by transient elastography. Results: Body weight and total body fat amount were more reduced in probiotics group compare to placebo group. IHF fraction (16.3±15.0à14.1±7.7, P=0.032) reduced after 12 weeks probiotics treatment compare to baseline, but not in placebo group. Reduction rate of IHF (mean difference: -2.61%, P=0.012) was also more in probiotics group compare to placebo. Triglyceride level reduced after 12 weeks probiotics treatment compare to baseline. Probiotics group showed also more decrease triglyceride concentration (mean difference; -34.0 mg/dl, P=0.0033). Deep sequencing of the fecal microbiome revealed that the amount of Agathobaculum, Dorea (OTU 527923), Blautia, Ruminoccous, and Dorea (OTU 195044, OUT 470168) were increased in patients who were improved fatty liver. Conclusions: The 12-week treatment of probiotics resulted in a significant reduction of IHF and BMI in obese NAFLD patients.
