Characterization and Optimization of the Contact Formation for High-Performance Silicon Solar Cells

In this paper, p-n junction formation using screen-printed metalization and co-firing is used to fabricate high-efficiency solar cells on single- crystalline silicon substrates. In order to form high-quality contacts, co-firing of a screen-printed Ag grid on the front and Al on the back surface field is implemented. These contacts require low contact resistance, high conductivity, and good adhesion to achieve high efficiency. Before co-firing, a statistically designed experiment is conducted. After the experiment, a neural network (NN) trained by the error back-propagation algorithm is employed to model the crucial relationships between several input factors and solar cell efficiency. The trained NN model is also used to optimize the beltline furnace process through genetic algorithms.

Diapause hormone terminates larval diapause in the bamboo borer, Omphisa fuscidentalis (Hampson)

The larvae of the bamboo borer (Omphisa fuscidentalis Hampson) maintain a diapause state for approximately nine months. However, changes in the ecdysteroid titer lead to the termination of larval diapause when juvenile hormone analogue (JHA) is applied. The hormonal mechanisms that terminate larval diapause are still unknown. Recently, it was found that the O. fuscidentalis diapause hormone and pheromone biosynthesis activating neuropeptide genes (Ompfu-DH-PBAN) were expressed during the development of both larvae and pupae and during the late larval diapause. This result suggested that diapause hormone (DH) might be involved in the termination of larval diapause. Thus, our study aims to determine the effect of DH on diapause termination in the bamboo borer. The response of diapausing larvae to DH was assayed using the synthesized O. fuscidentalis diapause hormone (Ompfu-DH). After injection with different concentrations of DH (25, 50 and 100 ng/larvae), nearly half of the individual larvae (approximately 45%) became completed or incompleted pupae within 30 days. The mean days of pupation in larvae injected with 25, 50 and 100 ng DH were 26.81 ± 17.86, 26.30 ± 16.45 and 25.30 ± 16.12, respectively. The hemolymph ecdysteroid titer in Ompfu-DH injected-larvae was significantly higher 10–15 days after Ompfu-DH injection and reached a maximum before the formation of the pupal cuticle. These results indicate that Ompfu-DH terminates larval diapause in O. fuscidentalis by increasing the ecdysone in hemolymph, reflecting a new role of DH in the regulation of larval diapause in this species.

The removal of Cu(2+) ions and Ni(2+) ions from aqueous solution using oyster shell particle was studied. The surface area, pore radius and pore volume of the oyster shell used in this study were 20.02 ㎡/g, 21.13 A and 12.35 ㎤/g, respectively. The adsorption amount of Cu(2+) ion onto the oyster shell was greater than that of Ni(2+) ions. The removal efficiency of Cu(2+) ions and Ni(2+) ions onto the adsorbent increased with decreasing particle size of oyster shell.

Purpose The purpose of this study was carried out to determine the normal predictive equation of pulmonary function and related factors in Korean young adult(university students) using spirometer. Methods Measured the FVC (Forced Vital Capacity), FEV 1 (Forced Expiratory Volume in one second), ERV(expiratory reserve volume),VC(vital capacity) and surveyed body height, body weight. years. Study group was total I02(male 57, female 45)who were sampled from healthy young adults(Age is 18-28) at the shinsung university in dang gin city. Result The results of this study were summarized as follows: (I) FVC in male and female was 4.6±0.6 L. 3.3±OA L. FEV1 in male and female was 3.9±0.5 Land 2.7 ±OAL. (2) In correlation analysis, FVC, FEV1 showed positive correlation with body height body weight and negative correlation with age. (3) The prediction equation for FVC was 0.077 X height(cm)+0.020 X years +0.002 x weight-9.387 in male, and 0.030xheight(cm)+0.023xyears+0.006xweight-2A68in female. (4) The prediction equation for FEV1 was 0.055 x height( cm) -0.007 x years +0.003 x weight-5.855 in male, and 0.32 x height( cm) +0.007 x years -0.0 11 x weight (kg)-2.029 in female. Conclusion In conclusion, these results suggest that body height, body weight have significant association with pulmonary function. More research is need in the further for using these parameters in predictive equation.
