        There has been a sizable growth in the use of rich media over the World Wide Web(WWW) as more individuals and institutions realize rich-media's potential in a broad range of applications, including electronic commerce, education and training, news, etc. Internet and WWW technologies provide the information of the web. Libraries are systems that carry out interactions among information and knowledge seekers. Library become more and more important for the provision of data. Total information system for books management exist in many forms. We present total information system for books management which is applied to several different sources, e.g., administrator security login, statistics about the present state of lending, printing management, and convenient GUI(Graphic User Interface) environment.

        그룹 감각통합치료가 발달장애 아동의 운동기능 및 사회성 증진에 미치는 영향

        목적: 본 연구의 목적은 발달장애 아동에게 그룹 감각통합치료를 적용하여 아동의 운동기능 및 사회성 증진에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 한다. 연구방법: 대전 S아동연구소 감각통합치료실을 이용하는 아동 중, 발달장애 및 정신지체로 진단받은 아동 10명을 대상으로 하였다. 실험군은 그룹 감각통합치료에 참여하는 아동 5명, 대조군은 개별 감각통합치료에 참여하는 아동 5명으로 주 1회 90분, 20주 동안 적용하였다. 아동의 운동기능 및 사회성 증진 정도를 측정하기 위한 사전·사후 검사로 운동적합성 검사(Bruini nks-Oseretsky test of Motor Proficiency 2), 한국판 적응행동검사(Korean-Scales of Independent Behavior­Revised) 그리고 사회성숙도 검사(Social Maturity Scale)를 사용하였다 . 결과: 그룹 감각통합치료 적용 전·후 실험군 대부분의 아동이 손/상지협응(Manual coordination)과 신체협응(Body coordination), 사회성 전반적 영역에서 기능향상을 보였지만, 통계적으로 유의미하지 않았다. 그러나 그룹 감각통합치료 프로그램 전후 운동기능 및 사회성 향상의 차이는 실험군 아동이 대조군 아동보다 더 크게 나타났으며 특히 손/상지협응(Manual coordination), 손기민성(Manual dexterity) 하위항목, 사회성숙도 검사의 사회연령, 사회지수에서 통계적으로 유의미하게 나타났다. 결론: 본 연구결과를 통하여 그룹 감각통합치료 프로그램이 발달장애 아동의 운동기능 및 사회성 기능증진에 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다. 추후 보다 다양한 장애 유형의 아동을 대상으로 그룹 감각통합치료 프로그램을 적용하여 그 효과를 증명하는 연구가 진행되어야 할 것이다. Objective : The purpose of this study is to understand whether group Sensory Integration(SI) therapy has the effect on improvement of motor skill and social function for children with developmental disorder. Method : The subjects were recruited among children received sensory integration therapy at a Children’s Development Institute in Dae-Jeon, experimental group is total 5 participating in group sensory in­tegration therapy and control group is also 5 participating in individual sensory integration therapy. The program was constructed for 90 minutes and all children either in the experimental or in the control group went through intervention for 20 weeks. Bruininks-Oseretsky test of Motor Proficiency II, Korean-Scales of Independent Behavior-Revised and Social Maturity Scale were used in order to eval­uate the degree of improvement in motor skill and social function. Results : Most children in the experimental group showed improvement in overall aspects of motor skill and the social function comparing pre-intervention with post-intervention, but they did not show any statistically significant differences. However, comparing experimental group with control group, children in the experimental group showed improvement in motor skill and social function. Futhermore, there is statistically significant improvement especially in manual coordination, manual dexterity, and social age and social quotient in Behavior-Revised and Social Maturity Scale. Conclusions : It is found that a group Sensory Integration therapy program has effect on motor skill and social function for children with developmental disorder in this study. In the future study, group SI therapy should be applied for children with diverse diagnosis in order to generalize the effectiveness of therapy.

      • 토끼에서 Etofenprox와 Spinosad 합제의 국소자극성 시험

        This study was performed to evaluation the skin and eye irritation of etofenprox 8% and spinosad 4% combination in male New Zealand White rabbits. In skin irritation test, the combination of etofenprox and spinosad did not showed any change of body weight but caused slight skin irritation with the P.I.I. (primary irritation index) value 0.25. The etofenprox and spinosad combination showed severe eye irritation 1 h, 24 h, 48 h, and 72 h after ocular treatment, having the A.O.I. (acute ocular irritation) value of 37.3. Therefore, these result indicated that the combination of etofenprox and spinosad might be irritant formulation on eye and skin.

      • 메조포어 물질을 이용한 TiO_2의 제조와 광촉매 산화반응에의 적용

        TiO_2-loaded mesoporous materials were prepared by sol-gel method. Mesoporous materials suppressed the phase transformation of TiO_2 from anatase to rutile and increased the bandgap of TiO_2 which was explained in terms of the quantum size effect. Several kinds of nano-sized TiO_2 with particle sizes of 5∼20 nm, were obtained through the removal of the mesoporous materials by etching in 2 M NaOH or the calcination under air condition. They showed good activites in the photocatalytic oxidation of 2-isopropyl-6-methyl-4-pyrimidinol.

        Single-Phase diode rectifiers are widely used in industry. These rectifier, however, generate many harmonic components in the AC Power line and have the poor input power factor, which may create a power quality problem for other electrical apparatus in the vicinity of the rectifier. Power factor improvement and harmonic reduction in the AC line current have become very significant problems in single-phase diode rectifiers. In this paper, the high power factor boost converter using soft switching is proposed to improve the demerit. The simulation results show the validity of the proposed system.

      • 고콜레스테롤 혈증 환자에서 Cerivastatin(LIPOBAY, 의과학연구소)의 임상효과 및 안전성에 관한 연구

        목적 : Cerivastatin(LIPOBAY)은 최근에 개발되어 사용되기 시작한 HMG-CoA 환원효소 억제제로서 저용량으로 탁월한 콜레스테롤 강하효과를 보이는 약물이다. 저자들은 Cerivatatin(LIPOBAY)의 혈중 콜레스테롤 강하효과를 평가하고 약물의 안전성을 평가하기 위하여 본 연구를 시행하였다. 방법 : 고콜레스테롤혈증 환자 37명(남자 13명, 여자 24명)을 대상으로 하였다. 대상환자는 2주간의 저콜레스테롤 식이 후에도 혈청 콜레스테롤이 240㎎/㎗이상이거나, 관상동맥질환이 있는 환자는 혈청콜레스테롤이 220㎎/㎗이상인 경우 cerivastatin 0.4㎎을 8주간 복용하도록 하였다. 임상적 관찰과 검사실 검사(간기능검사, 일반혈액검사, 혈청지질검사)는 투약개시 후 4주 및 8주 후에 시행하였다. 결과 : Cerivastatin 0.4㎎을 4주간 투여한 후 측정한 LDL 콜레스테롤, 총콜레스테롤, triglyceride, 및 HDL 콜레스테롤은 각각 38%, 28.8%, 11.6% 및 7.8% 감소하였다. 총콜레스테롤/HDL 콜레스테롤 비 및 LDL/HDL비는 각각 20.8% 및 31.1% 감소하였다. 투약 8주후에 측정한 검사소견은 4주후에 비해 유의한 변화를 보이지 않았다. 한명의 환자(2.7%)에서 간기능 검사상 AST, 및 ALT의 지속적인 상승으로 투약을 중지하였다. 결론 : Cerivastatin 0.4㎎/day는 혈청콜레스테롤을 효과적으로 감소시켰으며 심각한 부작용은 볼 수 없었다. 따라서 적극적으로 LDL콜레스테롤을 낮출 필요가 있는 고콜레스테롤혈증 환자에서 cerivastatin은 효과적이고 안전한 약물이라고 생각된다. Objectives : Cerivastain(LIPOBAY) is recently developed HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor which is effective in lowering serum cholesterol levels at microgram does. We evaluated the clinical efficacy and safety of cerivastatin(LIPOBAY) in patients with hypercholesterolemia. Method : Thirty-seven patients(male : 13, female : 24) with hypercholesteolemia defined as baseline serum total cholesterol ≥240㎎/㎗, or ≥220㎎/㎗ in patients with known coronary artery disease were included for this study. After 2 weeks of low cholesterol diet, if the serum total choesterol level meet the criteria, cerivastain 0.4㎎/day was prescribed for 8 weeks. Clinical follow-up and laboratory tests were performed 4 weeks and 8 weeks after medication. Results : After 4 weeks of cerivastain 0.4㎎/day treatment, low density lipoprotein(LDL) cholesterol decreased 38% and total cholesterol decreased 28.8% from baseline. Triglyceride decreased 11.6%, and high density lipoprotein(HDL) cholesterol decreased 7.8% from baseline. Total cholesterol/HDL ratio decreased 20.8% and LDL/HDL ratio decreased 31.1% from baseline. After 8 weeks of treatment, no further significant changes were noted compared with the values at 4 weeks. Cervastatin was discontinued in one patient(2.7%) due to continuous liver enzyme elevation. Conclusion : Cerivastatin 0.4㎎/day is effective in lowering serum cholesterol levels without significant adverse reactions. Cerivastatin is effective and safe for patients with hypercholesterolemia who needs aggressive LDL cholesterol lowering.

        정신장애인 치료에 중요 역할 담당자의 정신질환에 대한 태도조사

        Objectives : Attitudes of families of mentally ill, health personnels and community leaders to the mentally ill after the development and utilization of the community mental health program and reintegration of the chronically ill patients into society. This study was designed to compare the attitudes toward the mentally ill patient of the persons who have important role in treating the mentally ill and to find the variables influencing the attitudes. Methods : We measured attitudes toward mental illness in psychotic patients' families(N=139), community leaders(N=180) and health personnels(N=324) including mental health personnels before the implementation of community mental health services in Yonchon county and Seodaemun district area. The instrument used to measure attitudes was Opinion about Mental Illness(O. M. I.) scale. Results : 1) Health personnel showed lower Authoritarianism(Factor A) and higher Benevolence(Factor B) scores on the average than community leaders and psychotic patients families. 2) Current residence affect the attitudes in psychotic patients' families, not in community leaders and health personnels. Families in urban area showed lower Authoritarianism(Factor A) and Social Restrictiveness(Factor D) and higher Benevolence(Factor B) scores than in the rural areas. 3) Many patient variables were correlated to the attitudes of families. Duration of illness, number of recurrence, number of admission, age of patient and family burden were positively correlated mainly to Social Restrictiveness(Factor D). 4) Sex and religion of respondents showed no or weak relationship with the factor scores. Conclusions : Education for community leaders and families is required to achieve successful community mental health services. Community support program should be developed for chronic, recurrent and burdensome psychiatric patients in the first place.

        OFDM을 적용한 차세대 무선 LAN의 성능 평가 및 분석

        본 논문은 IEEE 802.11a에서 사용되는 ISM (Industry, Science, Medical) 밴드인 5GHz 대역에서의 무선 LAN(W-LAN)에 대한 시스템의 성능평가와 분석을 하였다. W-LAN은 현재까지 개발, 적용되고 있는 2.4GHz대의 제품이 주류를 이루고 있으나, 이는 전송 속도가 11Mbps로 고속의 전송이 요구되는 시스템에는 부적합하다. 이를 해결하기 위해 5GHz 대역에서 54Mbps지 전송 속도를 지원하는 차세대 W-LAN을 구현하여, 강의실이나 구내 일정한 지역에서의 통신은 물론 차량과 같은 고속으로 이동시에도 데이터가 끊어짐이 없이 지속적인 서비스가 되도록 무선 접속장치(AP: Access Point)와 무선 단말 장치 (NIC: Network Interface Card) 간의 다중 경로 페이딩 채널을 모델링하였다. 또한 간섭성을 감소시키기 위해 컨벌루셔널 부호의 사용과 데이터 통신에서 필요로 하는 신뢰성 있는 BER을 얻기 위해 단일 텝 LMS (Least Mean Square) 등화기를 적용하였고, 인접 심볼 또는 채널간 간섭을 제거하는 시뮬레이션으로 차세대 LAN ,시스템의 성능을 평가 및 분석하였다. This paper describes the performance evaluation and analysis of Wireless Local Area Network (W-LAN) in the 5 GHz ISM-band in compliance with IEEE 802.11a. At present, most W-LAN products are based on 2.4 GHz band, but low speed (11Mbps) has the limitation to serve systems demanding high-speed data transmission. To solve this prolem, it is necessary to design next generation W-LAN system with 54Mbps in the 5 GHz. It is sure that implementation of next generation W-LAN will bring competitive advantages. In particular, it will support telecommunications for high-speed mobile environments as well as for fixed places such as a school zone, a lecture room. a hospital and other premises. A few simulation methods are applied to more accurate and reliable performance analysis of next generation W-LAN. To verify if continuous data service is supported for a high-speed mobile notebook. multi-path fading channels between wireless Access Point (AP) and wireless Network Interface Card (NIC) are modeled. In addition, low interference is analyzed via convolutional codes and Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiplexing 〈OFDM〉. Also, to obtain reliable Bit Error Rate 〈BER〉, a single tap Least Mean Square (LMS) equalizer is applied. Given the above simulation, next generation W-LAN is an ideal solution for continuous data transmission in high-speed mobile environments.

      • DICAM inhibits angiogenesis via suppression of AKT and p38 MAP kinase signalling

        <P><B>Aims</B></P><P>Dual Ig domain-containing adhesion molecule (DICAM), a protein with homology to the junctional adhesion molecule family, has been demonstrated to interact with integrin αVβ3 that plays a critical role in angiogenesis. Here, we determined the role of DICAM during angiogenesis and the molecular mechanisms involved in the inhibition of angiogenesis.</P><P><B>Methods and results</B></P><P>DICAM was expressed on the endothelial cells of large vessels to small capillaries. In human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs), DICAM was up-regulated by vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) through the MEK/ERK and PI3K/AKT pathways. Furthermore, the exogenous expression of DICAM in HUVECs suppressed angiogenesis <I>in vitro</I> Matrigel and <I>in vivo</I> plug assays, and conversely, DICAM knockdown enhanced angiogenesis. In addition, DICAM inhibited HUVEC migration and accelerated apoptosis via down-regulation of Bcl-2, but did not affect viability or proliferation of HUVEC. Mechanistically, the exogenous expression of DICAM suppressed VEGF-induced phosphorylarion of AKT and p38 MAP kinase. When integrin signalling was activated by vitronectin, a forced expression of DICAM attenuated integrin β3/FAK signalling and downstream AKT and p38 MAP kinase signalling in HUVECs.</P><P><B>Conclusion</B></P><P>Collectively, DICAM suppressed angiogenesis by attenuating AKT and p38 MAP kinase signalling, which suggests that DICAM may be a novel negative regulator of angiogenesis.</P>
