The purpose of this study was to know stress distribution of ceramic crown according to the cusp angle. For the study, it was manufactured a three dimensional finite element model simplified maxillary first premolar, and then analyzed stress distribution when cusp angle was each 80°, 90°, l00°, 110° and 120°. The results obtained were as follows; 1. The von Mises stress showed that stress decreases as cusp angle increases in the central groove of the occlusal surface. 2. It showed that maximum principal stress was centered at the region of the central groove of the occlusal surface and a region which the force was inflicted. And also it appeared high on the lingual and buccal side of finish line. 3. The X axis of normal stress was focused in the central groove of the occlusal surface. The Y axis of normal stress appeared high in the central groove of the occlusal surface, b u d and lingual side. 4. The stress near the finish line showed a low value compared with stress in the region of the central groove of the occlusal surface. 5. It showed that the most dangerous angle for tooth fracture was on 80° of the cusp angle and low on 120° of its.
열가압 및 열처리에 따른 IPS Empress 2 Glass-Ceramic의 색 안정성에 관한 연구

This study was performed to investigate the color stability of IPS Empress 2 glass-ceramic after heat-pressing and/or heat-treatments. Three types of IPS Empress 2 ingots (shade 100, 300, 500) were tested. For this study, three groups were prepared as follows: group 1 is as-received material, group 2 is heat-pressed material, and group 3 is fully heat -treated material. The color of the specimens was measured with a colorimeter. The data were statistically evaluated with one-way ANOVA and Scheffe's multiple test. The results obtained were as follows: 1. IPS Empress 2 glass-ceramic demonstrated less color stability according as the shade is lighter. Namely, the shade 500 showed the lowest color shifts and the shade 100 showed the greatest color shifts after heat-pressing and heat-treatments. 2. In the cases of shade 100 and 300, the changes of ΔE^* were affected mostly by the changes of L^* and b^*. 3. In ΔE^* of the shade 100, there were significant differences among the group 1, 2, and 3 (P<0.001). 4. In ΔE^* of the shade 300, there were significant differences between the group 1 and 2, and the group 1 and 3 (P<0.001). 5. In ΔE^* of the shade 500, there was significant difference only between the group I and 3 (P<0.001).

N/A The development and prevalence of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP) has resulted in great progress in the diagnosis of the disease of the pancreas, and biliary tract. At the same time, however, the rise of serum amylase level has been often point out as the complication of ERCP. To assess the effect of synthetic protease inhibitor, Gabexate mesilate(FOY), in hyperamylasemia following ERCP, the authors carried out a controlled trial in 39 patients who were underwent ERCP under the impression of pancreatic or biliary system disease. Of them 20 patients were allocated to FOY@ treated group and 10 patients to control group. The following results were obtained: 1) There was no significant difference in serum amylase level between FOY treated group and control group before ERCP, however significant difference was observed in seram amylase level at 2 hour and 2 day after ERCP between FOY treated group and control group Before ERCP the serum amylase level was 107. 6 45. 1 I.U./dl in control group and 105. 7+-42.1 I.U./dl in FOY treated group.At 2hour after ERCP the serum amylase level was 186.7 +-150.1 I.U./dl in control group and 103.2+-47.9 I.U./dl in FOY treated group. On 2nd day after ERCP, the serum amylase level was 167.7+-84. 1 I.U,/dl in control group and 109.6+-59.1 I.U./dl in FOY treated group 2) The change in serum amylase levels at 2 hour and 2 day after ERCP by the extent of visualization showed a tendency that a greater extent of visualization was associated with a higher incidence of serum amylase levels. Such a tendency was more pronounced in control group and the mean serum amylase level was significantly higher in the control group. 3) FOY did not cause any serious side effect such as shock, fall of blood pressure, itching, eruption, chest pain etc. in all cases. 4) There was some report that FOY has a relaxant action on the Oddis sphincter and helps the cannulation to the opening of Papilla of Vater, however it more depended upon the skill of the endoscopist, anatomical variation of the Papilla of Vater and FOY did not give any great advantage to the cannulation.

Statement of problem. The adjustable dental impression trays were made for being adjusted their width automatically along the width of dental arch. Purpose. The purpose of this study was to investigate the best retentive form of adjustable dental impression tray, and so to make it a more satisfactory product. Material and methods. The eight pairs of adjustable trays were made of ABS(acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) with different distribution of holes and with or without the rim on the border area of them. The experiment was done with the horse-shoe shaped metal plate to pull out the set impression body from the tray, and the tray jig which was made for holding the tray on a lower part of Universal Testing Machine(UTM, Zwick Z020, Zwick Co., Germany). After the impression in the tray was allowed to set four minutes, a tensile force was applied at right angles to the tray which had been previously seated on the jig. The force was applied to measure a maximum retentive force by use of a UTM at a constant strain rate of 100mm per minute. A 2-factor analysis of variance (p<.05) was used to determine whether differences existed among distribution of retentive holes and between rim existing and not. Results. 1 The retentive force of the upper and lower resin tray with 2mm holes on the tray border was highest(25.83/24.98kg). (p<.05) 2. As the tray had more retentive holes, it was less retentive. 3. There was no significant difference in the retentive force of the varied hole intervals in the case of distributing all the area. (p>.05) 4. The rimless trays were more retentive generally, than the rimmed trays except 2 case: upper tray group-all area / 2 mm, intervals and lower tray group-margin only / 2 mm, intervals.(p<.05) 5. Most of the adjustable trays were showed higher retentive force than perforated metal tray except the lower group that perforated on the all area at intervals of 2 mm.

<P>In this paper, solution-based deposition of HfO2 thin film at low temperature was demonstrated. By using aqueous HfCl4 solution, the precursor was effectively decomposed with low annealing temperature of 150 degrees C. Thus it is preferable to use this solution for dielectric coating on flexible substrates. To achieve conformal coating on substrate, formic acid as a cosolvent was added to aqueous ink solution to reduce surface tension of the solution. Due to improved coating quality of HfO2 thin film, the fabricated HfO2 gate dielectric shows reliable breakdown characteristics and low leakage current.
