        백서 척수후근절로부터 슈반세포의 효과적인 체외 배양법

        Schwann cells(SCs), an important component of the peripheral nervous system, intract with nerous to mutually support growth and replication for the peripheral nerve regentation. Recently, ading SCs to the lumen of guidance channel is widely tried to improve regeneration or to make regeneration possible over otherwise irreparable gaps. however, it is not easy to isolate and multiplicate SCs as much as enough to help the axonal regeneration. For the allogeneic SCs source for tubular nerve guidance, we developed a little bit improved technique of harvesting and multiplicating SCs. by culturing dispersed dorsal root ganglia in specially designed medium with growth factors and serial processing, we repeatedlly generate relatively homogenous SC cultures. Our technique was compared with other methods of literature using immunostaining methods such as GFAP, S100, BDNF and the total SC count assessment at different time interval after primary culture.

      • 레보프라이드 정 (레보설피리드 25 mg)에 대한 레보셀 정의 생물학적동등성

        The aim of the present study was to evaluate the bioequivalence of two levosulpiride tablets, Levopride (SK Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.) and Revocel (Kwang Dong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.), according to the guidelines of Korea Food and Drug Administration (KFDA). Twenty four healthy male volunteers, 23.7±1.8 year in age and 66.8±7.6 kg in body weight, were divided into two groups and a randomized 2×2 cross-over study was employed. After three tablets containing 75 mg of levosulpiride were orally administered, blood was taken at predetermined time intervals and the concentrations of levosulpiride in plasma were determined using HPLC with fluorescence detector. The dissolution profiles of two levosulpiride tablets were not significantly different at all dissolution media. Pharmacokinetic parameters such as AUC_(t), C_(max) and T_(max) were calculated and ANOVA test was utilized for the statistical analysis of the parameters using logarithmically transformed AUC_(t), and C_(max). The results showed that the differences between two formulations were 2.59%, -2.04% and 8.94% for AUC_(t), C_(max) and T_(max), respectively. There were no sequence effects between two formulations in these parameters. The 90% confidence intervals using logarithmically transformed data were within the acceptance range of log0.8 to log1.25 (e.g., log0.95~log1.13 and log0.91~log1.06 for AUC_(t) and C_(max)). Thus, the criteria of the KFDA guidelines for the bioequivalence was satisfied, indicating Levopride tablet and Revocel tablet are bioequivalent.

      • A Note on WUP-rings

        R.Yue Chi Ming은 정칙환을 일반화한 WP-환에 대하여 연구 (1980년)하였으며, WUP-환, 연속정칙환과 V-환사이의 관계를 조사하였다. 본 논문에서는 y-injective모듈을 정의하였고 이를 이용하여 A가 WUP-환이 될 필요충분조건은 AA에 동형이 아닌 모든 좌 이데알이 y-injective인 환임을 밝혔다. A가 WUP-환으로 우 annihilator들에 대하여 ACC를, 그리고 모든 좌 이데알 I_(1), I_(2)에 대하여 r(I_(1)∩I_(2))=r(I_(1))+r(I_(2))를 만족하면 A는 quasi-Frobenius환임을 밝혔다. 또한 A가 단순 좌 Noetherian WUP-환이면 모든 유한생성 projective좌 모듈은 A^(n)+L(단, L은 좌 이데알)에 동형임을 밝혔다.

      • 반복작업으로 유발된 수근관내의 굴곡근 건초염과 수근관 증후군 : 증례 보고 Case Report

        A 46 year-old woman who had worked repetitive manual job for 3 years visited our hospital because of aggravated right hand sensory symptom and newly developed limitation of 3, 4, 5th finger extension. In physical examination, moderate swelling of volar aspect of wrist and limitation of finger extension was noticed as well as positive tinnel sign. We confirmed carpal tunnel syndrome after electrodiagnostic studies and associated flexor tenosynovitis of 4th flexor tendon in the carpal tunnel through MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) study. She was successfully treated with conservative program including wrist splint and steroid injection. We also tracked the result of treatment using MRI and electrodiagnositic studies. Analyzing her work procedure, we concluded that repetitive and forceful exertional nature of job impose a high burden on hand and wrist region and it caused her carpal tunnel syndrome.

      • 수술실 오염도감소를 위한 수술실공조시스템에 대한 연구

        Background: The OR(operating room) should provide an optimum environment that is safe for the patient and the working personnel. The air ventilation system of OR has been studied to decrease the contamination of air. We investigated the flow and contamination of the air in OR at our hospital. Method: Cultures in OR were made and the number of bacteria and fungi were calculated. A two-dimensional model for the cross-section of an operation room is developed for the CFD (computational fluid dynamics) analysis. The characteristics of air flow in the empty operation room and in the occupied operation room are calculated by using a CFD program. Results: The current air ventilation system of our hospital does not deliver the clean air to the operating site efficiently in occupied OR. Conclusions: We suggested a new location of air ventilation system which improves air venting with little increase of the cost of equipment.

        중환자에서 중심정맥 산소포화도를 이용한 혈역학적 지표의 예측

        Purpose: Mixed venous oxygen saturation (Smvo_2) and other hemodynamic parameters are highly useful in the monitoring of critically ill patients, but the measurement of Smvo_2requires catheterization of the pulmonary artery. In contrast, central venous oxygen saturation (Scvo_2) can be easily obtained with a central venous catheter, which is less invasive. To assess if Scvo_2could be a useful value in the treatment of critically ill patients, we evaluated the agreement and the relationship between Scvo_2 and Smvo_2 Futhermore, the correlations of Scvo_2 with other additional parameters were investigated. Methods: During 18 months, 83 patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) of Ajou university hospital were included. Scvo_2, Smvo_2, the cardiac index (CI), the oxygen extraction ratio (OER), the oxygen uptake (Vo_2), and the oxygen delivery (Do_2) were obtained by using a pulmonary artery catheter. Results: There was a difference between Scvo_2and Smvo_2(76.32±7.86 vs 73.79±6.31, p<0.001). The relationship between the two measures showed a meaningful correlation (r=0.700, p<0.01). Scvo_2also had correlations with the Cl (r=0.326, p<0.05), the OER (r=-O.467, p<0.01), the Vo_2(r=-O.393, p<0.01), and the Do_2(r=0.422, p<0.01). Conclusion: Although the Scvo_2, value cannot replace the Smvo_2value, it shows a relation with Smvo_2 and other parameters. Thus, Scvo_2 is suggested as a hemodynamic value for use with critically ill patients.

        Leaching and adsorption equilibria of Sr Chemical Species from the near field of a repository has been studied in solidified cement with Fe and oxidized Fe. The absorption percent, Ads %, and distribution coefficient, K_(d) were calculated using equilibrium concentration to predict the extent of leaching and adsorption. In the mixed aqueous solutions the Ads % increase as Cement(C)/Water(W) ratios increase and K_(d) was decreased for Sr. These behaviors were discussed by adsorption and equilibrium of spiked ions. Oxides Fe promoted the adsorption of spiked ions, but pure Fe had no effect. E_(h) values were also estimated and discussed to elucidate oxidation-reduction environment of experimental system.

      • 이동통신 시스템의 용량 증대를 위한 지능형 중계기

        이동통신 시스템에서 음영지역을 해소하고 커버리지를 증대시키기 위한 방법으로 중계기가 널리 사용되고 있다. 중계기는 기지국이 인식하지 않아도 되므로 기존의 시스템에서 쉽게 설치될 수 있다는 장점이 있으나 시스템 용량 증대 효과는 제한적이다. 음영지역 해소와 커버리지 증대와 함께 시스템 용량 증대를 위하여 다중홉 릴레이가 제안되었다. 그러나 다중홉 릴레이는 기지국이 그 존재를 인식해서 그에 맞추어 동작해야 한다는 단점이 있다. 이 논문에서는 기지국이 중계기의 존재를 인식하지 않으면서도 시스템 용량을 증대시킬 수 있는 지능형 중계 시스템을 제안한다. Repeaters are widely used to eliminate shadow areas or to expand cell coverage in mobile communication systems. While repeaters are transparent to base stations and allow easy deployment with existing systems, they cannot increase system capacity substantially. In order to achieve large system capacity in addition to shadow area elimination and cell coverage expansion, a mutli-hop relay is proposed. However, base stations need to recognize the existence of multi-hop relays and need to operate accordingly. In this paper we propose an intelligent repeater, which is transparent to base stations but can considerably increase system capacity.
