We reviewed retrospectively 230 patients who came to emergency room of Kang Nam St. Mary's Hospital and Uijongbu St. Mary's Hospital between 1. January and 31. December 1994. We classified them according to their age, sex, a sort of drug, the cause of poisoning, prehospital care, time-lapse to arrive at hospital after poisoning, psychiatric problem the status of patients. *We conclude as follows; 1. The male to female ratio was totally 1 : 1.98, 1 : 1.24 in a urban area, 1 : 2.43 in a rural area. 2. On age of the patients in this study, the peake incidence was between 20 and 39(55.2%). 3. On seasonal prevalence, the poisoning was most common in summer and spring, in urban area(35.7%) and rural area(37.0%) respectively. 4. The common drug were as follow; Doxylamine, Organophosphate, Acetaminophen in urban area, Paraquat, Organophospate, Doxylamine in rural area 5. The percentage of suicidal attempt were 81.8% and 87.7% in urban area and rural area respectively. 6. The poisoning patients had psychatric problem in 19.4% and 24.6%, in urban area and rural area respectively. 7. Before arrival to emergency room, 27.7% of patient was done prehospital care in rural area. 8. On arrival to emergency room, 95.1% and 73.8% of patients show stable vital sign in urban area and rural area respectively.
Ultra Long-Range Interactions between Large Area Graphene and Silicon

<P>The wet-transfer of graphene grown by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) has been the standard procedure for transferring graphene to any substrate. However, the nature of the interactions between large area graphene and target substrates is unknown. Here, we report on measurements of the traction–separation relations, which represent the strength and range of adhesive interactions, and the adhesion energy between wet-transferred, CVD grown graphene and the native oxide surface of silicon substrates. These were determined by coupling interferometry measurements of the separation between the graphene and silicon with fracture mechanics concepts and analyses. The measured adhesion energy was 357 ± 16 mJ/m<SUP>2</SUP>, which is commensurate with van der Waals interactions. 췌장의 간세포양 암종은 전세계적으로 매우 드문 암종으로, 기존의 원발성 췌장암, 간세포암종의 췌장 전이와의 감별을 위해서 임상적, 영상학적, 병리학적 소견을 모두 검토하여 신중한 진단이 필요하다. 현재까지 확립된 치료 방법은 없는 상태로, 수술적 절제가 항암치료보다 우수한 경과를 보여 수술이 가능할 경우 수술적 치료가 필요하다. 수술이 불가능한 종양에 대한 치료법은 향후 추가적인 연구를 통하여 찾아야 하는 노력이 필요하다. Hepatoid carcinoma is extrahepatic neoplasm showing similar morphologic, immunohistochemical features with hepatocellular carcinoma. It’s a very rare disease and has been reported most frequently in the stomach. Herein, we report a case of hepatoid carcinoma of pancreas presented with acute pancreatitis. The hepatoid carcinoma was diagnosed by his needle biopsy specimen and it showed pleomorphic nuclei and predominantly eosinophilic and occasionally clear cytoplasm in hematoxylin and eosin staining, and positive for HepPar-1 and cytokeratin 19 in immunohistochemical staining. Surgical treatment seems to be the best choice, if possible. However, there is no standard regimen for palliative chemotherapy. In our case, the patient was treated with 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU), folinic acid, irinotecan, oxaliplatin (FOLFIRINOX). The response was stable disease up to 4 month of follow up. It is important to find a allergen in allergic disease, Allergy MAST( CLA, USA) is known as useful allergen-screening test We investigated the positive rate of Total IgE and frequency of specific allergen from July, 1997 to June, 1m3 for 3m patient sera using Inhalant and Food-MAST test The positive rate of Total IgE was 50%(198/393). In September and October, The positive rate of Total IgE was 81.8% and 91.9% respectively. In April, the positive rate was 70%. The positive rate of Total IgE was relatively high in autumn and spring. The positive rate of mite-farinae and mite-pteronyssinus allergen in mite group was 16.020.,-6 and 15.14% respectively. Mite allergen showed relatively highest positive rate. House dust allergen showed 6.34% positive rate. In animal allergens, Dog allergen(5.11%) showed higher positive rate than cat allergen. In food allergens, Cow``s milkJ5.63%) and crab(4.23%) showed relatively high positive rate. Mugwort(3.87%) and rye(2.46%) showed relatively high positive rate in weed allergens. Among 1ffi Total-IgE positive sera, the rate of absence of specific allergen was 54%(l07/1ffi). The cause of no-specific allergen detection was supposed that detected-IgE was not allergy-specific IgE or other allergen existed but not in the combination of specific allergen of Inha1ant and Food MAST Kit.

Cheonggukjang and chaga mushrooms have numerous health benefits, and have been used in alternative medicine. Therefore, a powder mixture of 98: Cheonggukjang and 2: Chaga extracts was fermented with Lactobacillus acidophilus KCTC3925 (FCC) and its anti-obesity effects in high-fat diet (HFD)-induced obese mice were determined. Five-week-old male ICR mice were fed a normal diet or HFD in the presence or absence of 3% and 5% FCC by weight (n = 10 per group). After 12 weeks, the mice were sacrificed, and the serum and tissue samples were collected for analysis. Body weight and epididymal fat pad weight were significantly lowered in the 3% and 5% FCC groups compared with those in the HFD control group (p < 0.01). FCC supplementation suppressed serum triglyceride and increased serum HDL-C levels (p < 0.01). Serum GOT, GPT, and leptin levels, hepatic COX-2 mRNA expression, and splenic COX-2 and IL-4 mRNA expression were significantly higher in the HFD groups than in the control group (p > 0.05); however, except for splenic IL-4 levels, the increases were significantly attenuated by FCC supplementation. Expression of ICAM-1, an aortic inflammatory marker, was significantly increased in the HFD group; this effect was suppressed in the 3% FCC group (p < 0.01) but not in the 5% FCC group. FCC suppressed the body weight and epididymal fat pad weight gain, as well as inflammatory responses in the liver and spleen of HFD-fed mice. Thus, FCC supplementation will be beneficial for the treatment of obesity-related effects.
Probing the adhesion interactions of graphene on silicon oxide by nanoindentation

<P>Although a variety of fundamental mechanical properties of graphene have been investigated, the nature of interactions between graphene and other materials is not yet fully understood. Here, we report on adhesive interactions between diamond indenters and monolayer, bilayer and trilayer graphene on silicon oxide as well as bare silicon oxide and graphite over relatively small spatial domains. Displacement-controlled nanoindentation with an ultralow noise force sensor allowed the complete adhesive responses to be observed without the usual instabilities associated with nanoindenters that operate in force control. It was found that the approach and withdrawal force profiles between diamond and graphene depended on the number of layers of graphene. The unloading response contained very characteristic features, which were attributed to separation between graphene and silicon oxide in subsequent stress analyses of the experiments. The numerical stress analyses accounted for the interactions between the probe and the graphene as well as between graphene and silicon oxide via traction-separation relations which included attractive and repulsive interactions. As a result, it was possible to extract the energy, strength and range of the interactions for all cases, thereby providing a much richer measure of the interactions than relying solely on force profiles. The large part of pathophysiology of cardiac arrhythmias has been clarified but still arrhythmias have bothered anesthesiologists. This study was done in order to investigate the incidence and nature of arrhythmias using Holter monitor for complete study during enflurane anesthesia. The patients were randomly allocated to two groups. Group I received succinylcholine 1.5 mg/kg, and Group II vecuronium 0.1 mg/kg, intravenously for intubation. Continuous electrocardiographic recordings on magnetic tape were made in 34 patients undergoing tympanoplasty during general anesthesia (thiopental(5 mg/kg)-muscle relaxants induction, and N₂O(50%)-O₂-enflurane(1.2%)-pancuronium maintenance). After completion of the recordings, the tapes were scanned to detect changes in rhythm using the analyzer. Complexes were further studied by readouts on standard ECG paper. The results were as follows: 1) The number of patients(n=14) who exhibited arrhythmias during anesthetic maintenance was significantly greater than that(n=4) during induction. 2) The incidence of occurrence of cardiac arrhythmias was 64.7%. There was no difference between two groups. If sinus tachycardia included, the incidence reached at 94.1%. 3) The frequency of supraventricular arrhythmias was more than two times that of ventricular ones. The arrhythmias occuning at the AV junction were the most common, and VPCs the second most common 4) There was no effect on the frequency in arrhythmia occurrence, of age, gender, preoperative ECG findings, intraoperative serum K^+, and intraoperative PaCO₂. The discrepancy in the incidence of arrhythmia occurrence between complete and incomplete studies tells that great caution should be paid perioperatively, especially to the patients who have cardiovascular disorders.
