1. Aim of study During the present century the differences of curriculam between culture high school and vocational high school have hada great influence of leisure activities and leisure-time. Aim of this study is to analyze leisure activities of culture high school students and vocational high school students and to try to improve the realistic problems. 2. The results and consideration of study shows the following facts. (1) In the side of home envirooment culture high school students are better than Vocational highschool students. (2) All stupents feel confident of their bright futureand health, but culture high school students are weaker than vocational high school students (12%), and are planning their future more carefully. Vocational high school students tend to be discontented with their course, so unexpectedly many of them hope to go on to college (61.8%) (3) Leisure-time, pocket money and the place to amuse the hours of leisure are interrelative. Vocational high school students comparatively have many hours which they can amuse, so they are looking for their interests in such activities as sports and the outdoortsand the outdoor activities. They, then, come to need much pocket money. (4) During vacation most ofstudents stay at home in common. Culture high school students usually spend their fime studying, while Vocational high school students enjoy their dilettante life. (5) Culturehigh school students evaluate leisur-time high in that it is good to the mental hygiene, and vocational high school students in that it is helpful to the physical training and dilettante life. (6) On the whole culture high school students enjoy the passive leisure activities emphasizing the morality, but vocational high school students like the dynamic leisure activities for amusement. (7) The establishment of new valuation is urgently needed to make a reasonable use of leisure-time, money, implements and facilities for leisure activities.

Use of electric pulp testing elicits painful response in vital teeth. In this study, we examined the excessive time from pain feeling to stimulation disconnection in clinical situation. D626D (Parkell Inc., USA.) scan type electric pulp tester was used in total of 23 young healthy individuals. Each of the right central incisors and first premolars were used as testing teeth. Stimulation disconnection was achieved by EMG in anterior belly of digastric muscle, finger span, and voice and the excessive stimulation time over the sensory threshold was recorded. As a result, we found that the short responses before the stimulation disconnection appeared following order: EMG, finger span, and voice. The EMG disconnection is suggested to be used to reduce the excessive stimulus time in electric pulp testing.

Quality characteristics of frozen cylindrical pork loin were evaluated following different tempering methods: 27.12 MHz curved-electrode radio frequency (RF) at 1000 and 1500 W, and forced-air convection (FC) or water immersion (WI) at 4ºC and 20°C. The developed RF tempering system with the newly designed curved-electrode achieved relatively uniform tempering compared to a parallel-plate RF system. FC tempering at 4°C was the most time-consuming process, whereas 1500 W RF was the shortest. Pork sample drip loss, water holding capacity, color, and microbiological quality declined after WI tempering at 20°C. Conversely, RF tempering yielded minimal sample changes in drip loss, microstructure, color, and total aerobic bacteria counts, along with relatively uniform internal sample temperature distributions compared to those of the other tempering treatments. These results indicate that curved-electrode RF tempering could be used to provide rapid defrosting with minimal quality deterioration of cylindrical frozen meat block products.

The developmental time of larvae of mealworm beetle, Tenebrio molitor was studied at six temperatures ranging from 17 to 30℃ with 60~70% RH, and a photoperiod of 14L:10D. Mortality of 1st~13th larva was very low at 17 and 20℃ but did not die over 22℃. Developmental time of larva decreased with increasing temperature. The total developmental time was longest at 17℃ (244.3 days) and shortest at 30℃ (110.8 days), suggesting that the higher temperature, the faster development period. The lower developmental threshold temperature and effective accumulative temperatures for the total larval stages were 6.0℃ and 2564.1 day-degrees. The relationship between developmental rate and temperature fitted a linear model and nonlinear model by Logan-6 (r2=0.95). The distribution of completion of each development stage was well described by the 3-parameter Weibull function (r2=0.89).

연구배경 : 항원수용체유전자 재배열 현상의 분석은 림프구의 항원수용체인 B세포의 Immunoglobulin (Ig) 유전자와 T 세포의 T-cell receptor(TcR) 유전자가 림프구의 분화초기에 재배열되는 것을 이용한 방법으로 주로 림프종양의 확인과 분류에 이용되었다. 그러나 림프 종양과는 감별해야하는 급성골수성백혈병(AML)에서 Ig 혹은 TcR 유전자 재배열이 보고되고 있으며 그 의의는 확실치 않다. 방법 : AML 환자 25명의 진단당시의 골수세포에서 DNA를 분리하여 IgH 유전자 재배열 및 TcRβ 유전자 재배열을 Southern blot 방법으로 검사하였다. 세가지 제한효소(EcoRⅠ, BamHⅠ, HindⅢ)와 두가지 소식자(J_(H), Cβ)가 사용되었다. 결과 : 1) AML 환자 25명중 TcRβ 유전자 재배열이 2예에서 있었고(8%), IgH 유전자 재배열은 한예도 없었다. 2) 면역표지검사가 시행되었던 13명중 B 림프계표지인 CD19 양성인 환자가 3명, T 림프계표지인 CD2양성인 환자가 2명이었는데 모두 재배열이 없었다. TcRβ 유전자 재배열을 보였던 2명의 환자에서는 면역표지검사가 시행되지 않았다. 3) TcRβ 유전자 재배열을 보였던 2명은 각각 항암 화학요법후 14개월간 관해유지상태인 환자와 치료전 사망했던 환자였다. 결론 : 일부 AML에서 TcRβ 유전자재배열현상이 발견되었고, 항원수용체 유전자 재배열과 면역발현형이나 예후와는 연관이 없을 것으로 사료되며, 임상적인 이용을 위해서는 향후 좀더 광범위한 연구가 진행되어야 할 것이다. Background: Detection of the immunoglobulin (Ig) and the T cell receptor (TcR) gene rearrangements are useful markers for determining lineage and clonality in lymphoid malignancy. Antigen receptor gene rearrangements have also found in some patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). The significance of these rearrangements remains unclear. Methods: Ig heavy chain (IgH) gene and TcR beta chain(TcRβ) gene rearrangements were examined in leukemic cells from 25 patients with AML by Southern blot analysis. DNA was extracted from bone marrow aspirates. Three different enzymes (EcoRⅠ, BamHⅠ, HindⅢ) and two different probes(J_(H), Cβ) were used. Results: 1) TcRβ gene rearrangements were demonstrated in 2 of 25 cases(8%). But IgH gene rearrangement was not detected at all. 2) Antigen receptor gene rearrangement pattern of three cases with B cell antigen, CD19(+) and two cases with T cell antigen, CD2(+) were germline. Immunophenotyping was not performed in two cases with TcRβ gene rearrangement. 3) Of the patients with TcRβ gene rearrangement, one is alive in complete remission state after chemotherapy, and the other patient died before therapy. Conclusion: TcRβ gene rearrangement was demonstrated in some patients with AML. Antigen receptor gene rearrangment did not correlate with specific immunophenotype and prognosis. The clinical implication of antigen receptor gene rearrangement study need further study.
