        The Effect of Sa-am acupuncture on Knee Osteoarthritis

        Objective : Acupuncture has been widely used throughout the world for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis (knee OA). This study investigated whether acupuncture, particularly Sa-am acupuncture, could be effective in relieving pain and improving the symptoms of knee OA. Method : This study was conducted as a prospective, randomized, controlled, and patient- and investigator-blinded clinical trial. Forty volunteers with knee OA participated in the study. All participants were screened through an inclusion and exclusion criteria. Thirty four participants completed the clinical trial. In total, forty subjects were randomly selected to receive Sa-am acupuncture. Eight sessions of acupuncture were given at the contralateral side of the problematic knee for 4 weeks. Korean translation of Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (KWOMAC) scores were measured twice: at the beginning and end of the clinical trial period. Both the Patient Global Assessment and physical health scores based on the 36-Item Short-Form Health Survey were also used to measure the results. Results : Compared to the pre-trial scores, the Sa-am acupuncture group (n=34) showed a significant decrease in KWOMAC total scores according to a paired t-test. The Sa-am acupuncture group also showed significant improvement in the Patient Global Assessment when compared to the pre-trial. Conclusions : Sa-am acupuncture for knee OA resulted in an improved KWOMAC total score. This was mostly driven by the function component score that was greatly affected by acupuncture. However, further studies with expanded designs are needed to solidify this finding with scientific rigor.

        Nowadays with progress of software engineering the technique of reuse is applied to various fields. Also in methodology field, like object-oriented methodology and component methodology, the focus is moving on reuse of existing applications and developmental to reduce development time and cost. Therefore many developed applications can't deal with the change flexibility that will happen in the future. Therefore it contains some elements that are not appropriate for reuse. In this paper, a way for extracting reusable class is suggested by analyzing and classifying of existing application into three stereotypes of class categories, <<boundary>>, <<control>>, and <<entity>>. And we have applied suggested guidelines of each process to web migration case study.

      • 첨단시설원예 경영체의 정보기술 활용능력의 비교 분석

        정보활용능력이 우수한 경영체 집단을 "우수"라 칭하고, 정보활용능력이 우수하지 못한 집단을 "열위"라 명명하였을 때 두 집단간의 생산구조, 생산기술, 경영성과 등 여러 가지 부문에서 대별되었다. 그 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1) 경영규모별로 정보활용능력의 차이검정(분산분석)의 결과 경영규모별로 정보활용능력의 유의한 결과를 보였다. 시설유형에서 유리온실과 경질판 온실간 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 재배양식별로는 양액재배 경영체와 토경재배 경영체 간에도 유의한 차이를 보였다. 2) 우수경영체가 열위경영체에 비해 경영규모의 측면에서 두배 이상 크고, 학력에서도 전문대 이상 학력을 소지한 경영체 수가 두 배 가량 많았으며, 경영기록도 충실히 잘 수행하였다. 생산기술 부문에서 수확기간 및 가온기간이 길고, 온실 이용기간이 긴 것으로 나타났다. 3) 첨단시설원예 경영체의 정보화 능력 수준별 경영성과를 살펴보면, 정보화 능력이 우수한 집단은 열위한 집단보다 10a당 조수입액은 2.2배, 수출액은 2.8배 많았다. 경영성과 만족도의 측면에서도 경영성과에 만족한다는 응답자의 비율이 40%에 달한 반면 열위그룹의 경영성과 만족도는 12%에 그쳤다. 이러한 결과로 미루어 볼 때 정보활용능력과 경영성과의 관계는 매우 밀접한 관계에 있으며, 정보화능력이 우수한 집단일수록 경영성과가 높다고 할 수 있을 것이다. Information literacy and computer literacy is essential in problem solving for farm management. This study surveyed 552 farm of High-tech Greenhouse in South Korea, and examined how much the farmer of High-tech Greenhouse is literate in the information, and how much the management performance is affected by information literacy. The finding of this study show that the management performance is strongly influenced by information literacy of farmer. The superior information literacy farms return more double income than the inferior information literacy farms do. The export sales of the superior information literacy farms is 2.8 times as much as that of the inferior information literacy farms. The 40% of the superior information literacy farms was satisfied with management performance, but only 12% of the inferior information literacy farms was satisfied with management performance.

        5년간 시행된 인공치아매식술에 관한 일차보고

        We experienced 152 endosseous implant surgery and prosthodontic restoration with edentulous jaw for 5 years from Mar. 1990. to Oct. 1995. 422 fixtures were implanted. the ratio of male to female was 1.38 : 1 and the range of age from 16 to 74 years. Most dominant group was 41 to 50 years group(36%). In our study, implant success rates showed 96% in mandible and 92% in maxilla. The major causes of implant failure of primery osseointegration(75%), overloading(15%), neurologic problem(5%), psychologic problem(5%).

      • 점탄성 적층보의 동적 특성 평가와 굽힘진동 감쇠를 위한 최적설계

        감쇠가 적은 금속 구조물의 공진에 의한 진동과 소음을 제어하기 위해 고무, 아스팔트 계열 등의 점탄성 물질이 다양하게 사용되고 있다. 일반적으로 점탄성재료를 이용한 감쇠처리는 점탄성재료의 하부를 모재인 금속층에 취부하고 점탄성재료의 상부를 구속층을 적층하는 방법을 적용한다. 구속감쇠층이 취부된 구조물의 감쇠 및 강성 특성은 온도와 주파수뿐만 아니라 각 층의 두께에 따라 크게 달라진다. 따라서 적은 비용으로 감쇠처리 효과를 극대화하기 위해서는 점탄성층과 구속층 두께의 최적설계가 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 구속감쇠층을 가진 보의 점탄성층과 구속층의 두께 변화에 따른 손실계수의 변화를 면밀히 검토하고, 이를 토대로 지정된 손실계수를 가지되 감쇠층과 구속층의 최소두께를 결정하는 방법을 제시하였다. 제시된 방법의 타당성은 수치실험적 방법으로 검증하였다. For the control of vibration and noise of metal structures having relatively low damping, viscoelastic materials are widely used and usually attached at metal structures with an additional constraining layer to secure them. The damping and elastic properties of structures having constrained viscoelastic material layers are dependent on not only temperature and frequency but also their thicknesses. Hence, optimal design of the thicknesses of viscoelastic and constraining layers for a certain base structure are very important to maximize their efficiency with minimum cost. In this study, the variation of loss factor of beams having a constrained viscoelastic layer according to the change of thickness has been carefully investigated. From these, optimal design method of the minimum thickness beam having a given loss factor is suggested and numerically verified for a real beam.

        This study which of the Stroop test training and simple response training can reduce the Stroop effect in the information processing process when continuous training is performed. 4 male students from S University(Asan-si) were divided into Stroop test training group(2) and simple reaction group(2). The test was conducted 10 times a day, and average was obtained and analyzed. The results encountered through this study are as follows. 1 The simple response training group improved more slowly than the Stroop test training group. 2. In the Stroop test training group, the rate of increase increased significantly compared to the simple response training group, but it did not increase once the record reached a certain point. 3. Simple response training at increasing values ​​was also trained on the Stroop effect. 4. In the average of phage values, both groups look similar.

      • 고체소음전달에 관한 간이계산식과 SEA법의 비교연구

        대형 선박은 고체음의 전달특성이 좋은 강판으로 구성된 복잡한 형상의 구조물로서 주기를 비롯한 각종 보기류 등의 다수 소음원이 설치되어 있을 뿐만 아니라 소음원과 작업 또는 거주 공간이 인접하고 있어 고체음과 공기음이 복합적으로 전파된다. 선박 소음의 효율적 제어를 위해서는 초기 설계 단계에서부터 공기음 및 고체음의 전달손실을 산정하여 소음예측을 수행하고 이에 따른 예방대책을 수립하는 것이 합리적이다. 일반적으로 선박 소음 해석은 실선자료의 통계적 처리결과를 기초로 한 경험 자료 및 음향 기초이론을 이용하여 선박의 거주구의 소음수준을 예측하는 경험식(Empirical Formula)에 의한 방법과 통계적 에너지 해석(SEA) 방법이 적용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이상화한 일반선체모델에 대하여 경험식에 의한 방법과 SEA법을 적용하여 소음예측을 수행하고, 이들 두 방법에 의한 해석 정도를 비교·고찰하였다. In order to build a quiet and comfortable ship, the shipboard noise levels must be predicted at early design stages. In general, the prediction of shipboard noise level can be done using SEA(Statistical Energy Analysis) or empirical formula. In this paper, in order to confirm the accuracy of noise predicition using empirical formula, the transmission loss of structure-borne noise using SEA and those using empirical formula are predicted and compared for an idealized ship model. The calculated results using empirical method agree well with those of SEA.
