질환성과 관련된 세균의 분포 및 유전자형을 탐색하고자 구강농양 및 골수염의 급성감염 혼자와 진료실 및 실험실의 정상인을 대상으로 시료를 채취하여 포도상구균을 분리 및 동정을 시행하고, 특성을 규명하였으며, plasmid 및 염색유전자를 분리하여 제한효소를 처리후 전기영동을 실시하고 분리된 plasmid로 탐색자를 제작하여 dot blot을 시행하였다. 대부분의 급성환자에서 분리된 포도상구균을 S. lugdunensis와 S. aureus이었으나, 진료실 및 실험실에서는 coagulase 음성 staphylococci가 분리되었다. 급성환자에서 분리된 포도상구균은 ampicillin과 penicillin에 내성을 보였다. 분리된 S. lugdunensis균주중 네 균주는 δ형의 용혈소를 생산하였다. Plasmid를 분리한 결과 S. lugdunensis균주중 세 균주는 약 6.5 kilobases이었으나 S. aureus는 약 4.3 kilobases 정도 크기의 band를 보였다. S. lugdunensis에서 분리된 plasmid로 제작한 탐색자로 dot blot를 시행한 결과 치과 영역에서 분리한 plasmid를 갖는 균주는 양성반응을 보였다. 염색체유전자의 유전자형을 분석한 결과 δ형의 용혈소를 생산한 네 균주의 S. lugdunensis는 유사한 유전자형을 보였다. 이러한 연구결과 질환의 진행에 S. lugdunensis가 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 생각되고, 치과영역에 존재하는 plasmid는 공통적인 유전자 서열을 갖는 것으로 추정된다.
벼 육묘트레이를 이용한 어린 잎 채소 생육에 미치는 광 조절 영향

벼 육묘 트레이를 활용한 어린잎 채소 재배 가능성을 탐색하고자 재배 기간 중 차광 처리하여 다채, 청경채, 알파인배추, 청치마 상추 등 4종을 17일간 재배하였다. 차광 처리는 무차광 17일(NS), 차광 8일+무차광 9일 (S8NS9), 무차광 8일+차광 9일(NS8S9), 차광 17일(S17) 하였다. 처리에 따른 누적 광량은 NS>S8NS9>NS8S9>S17처리구 순으로 높았으나, 누적 온도는 처리에 따른 차이가 크지 않았다 차광 8일 째 어린잎채소 4종의 생육과 엽록소함량은 감소하였다. 광 조절 17일 째 어린잎채소 4종의 초장, 엽장, 엽폭, 경경, 생체중, 엽록소 함량 등의 생육은 무차광 NS 처리구에서 가장 높았다. 생육 초기 광조절에 따른 생육 후기 초장과 생체중 증가율이 어린잎채소 4종 모두 NS 또는 S8NS9 처리구에서 높았다. 따라서 벼 육묘장 다층 시스템에서의 공간 활용을 고려한 어린잎채소 재배시 차광이 많은 하부 공간은 생육초기에 활용하고, 수확기에는 광 확보가 이루어지는 상부에서 재배가 이루어짐이 적합하리라 본다. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of light control on growth of baby leaf vegetables (tatsoi, pak-choi, chinese cabbage ‘alpine’ and leaf lettuce ‘cheongchima’) in rice seedling tray. Light treatment controlled in non-shading (NS), shading for 8 days+non-shading for 9 days (S8NS9), non-shading for 8 days+shading for 9 days (NS8S9), and shading for 17 days (S17). Integrated solar radiation in NS was highest, and in S8NS9>NS8S9>S17 order. Integrated temperature did not shown difference among the treatments for growing periods. Growth and chlorophyll content of baby leaf vegetables were lowest in shading treatment for 8days. The highest growth characteristics (plant height, leaf length, leaf width, stem diameters, and fresh weight) and chlorophyll content of baby leaf vegetables was shown in NS. Increment rate of plant height and fresh weight of baby leaf vegetables were high in NS or S8NS9 as affected by light control for 8 days in early growth periods. These results suggest that we can utilize in low layer for early period and in high layer for harvest periods for baby vegetable production in rice seedling factory.
Modified Panax ginseng extract regulates autophagy by AMPK signaling in A549 human lung cancer cells

<P>Panax ginseng has been used worldwide as a traditional medicine for the treatment of cancer and other diseases. The antiproliferative activity of ginseng has been increased after enzymatic processing of ginseng saponin, which may result in the accumulation of minor saponins, such as Rh2, Rg3, compound K and protopanaxatriol type (PPT) in modified regular ginseng extract (MRGX). In the present study, the anticancer activity and the associated mechanisms of MRGX were investigated using A549 human lung cancer cells. To elucidate the mechanisms underlying the effects of MRGX, we performed a microarray analysis of gene expression in the A549 cells. Molecular mechanisms that were associated with the anticancer activity of MRGX were studied, with a special focus on the autophagy-related multiple signaling pathways in lung cancer cells. Microarray analyses elucidated autophagy-related genes affected by MRGX. Administration of MRGX at 100 mu g/ml induced punctate cytoplasmic expression of LC3, Beclin-1 and ATG5 and increased expression of endogenous LC3-II whereas 50 mu g/ml did not inhibit the proliferation of A549 cells. Compared to the control cells, in cells treated with MRGX at 100 mu g/ml, the level of p-Akt was increased, while that of mTOR-4EBP1 was decreased. Downregulation of mTOR and 4EBP1 in the MRGX-treated cells was found not to be a p-Ulk (S757)-dependent pathway, but a p-Ulk (S317)-dependent autophagic pathway, using AMPK. These data suggest that MRGX regulates AMPK and induces autophagy in lung cancer cells.</P>

I found the following facts according to the results of my above survey about 100m running record, The records after survey (com. 17. 0 sec, ex. 16. 3 sec) The records before survey (com. 18. 1 sec, ex. 17. 9sec) According to the facts shown above the records after survey tell us it took shorter time (com 1.1 sec, ex 1.6 sec) than the records before the survey and the experimental group is superior by 0.7 sec than the comparative group. On the record of each, in Motor Quotient Comparative group (excellent) 16.5 scc, inferior 17.6 sec) Experimental group (excellent 15.7 sec, inferior 16.8 sec). The fact that the students who have high points of Motor Quotient Achieved faster and are more superior, are obtained from the above record. The number of students who arrived at the level of accomplishment of 17.0 sec in 100m running race are as follows (com 62.3% exp 78.3%) and the experimental group is 16.0% superior to the comparative group. The students who did not achieve (com 37.7%. exp 21.7%) and experimental group is also 16.0% superior to the comparative group. It is interesting to see the student's intent in group learning. We can know that the experimental group has a higher degree of interest of 18.8% than the comparative group (corn 63.8%, exp 82. 6%) and the students inclination for the estimation of teacher has a high a ratio as the experimental group is higher by 60.9% than comparative group. The following conclusions are obtained as the previous purpose of survey. A. The basic skill of the short distance race which is based on all physical exercise is greatly improved. B. Group learning on each Motor Quotient be known by high degree of efficiency. C. The principle of mastery learning is rationized also in physical education. D. The point of the ability of physical exercise is firmly proven.

We analysed the 49 fractures of radial styloid process which were treated at St. Mary's hospital since 1980, and tried to confirm the fracture type and mechanisms, their combined injuries around the affected wrist and to discuss the method of treatment. The results were as follows. l. Out of total 49 fractures, 38 cases(77.6%) were oblique fractures and the other 11 cases(22.4%) were transverse fractures in shape. 2. Twenty-four cases(49.0%) out of 49 fractures had been accompanied with various combined injuries around the affected wrist, i.e., 8 cases with lunar or perilunar dislocation, 6 cases with scapholunate dissociation, 3 cases with carpal subluxation and 7 cases with ulnar styloid process fracture. 3. Seven cases(41.2%) out of total 17 cases with combined wrist instabilities were missed in diagnosis initially, treated later and their results were not so good because of chronic wrist pain and ligamentous instabilities. 4. Sixteen patients(32.7%) were treated surgically, that is, open reduction, primary ligaments repair and K-wire fixation in 11 cases, reconstruction of torn carpal ligaments in 3 cases and proximal carpectomy in 2 cases. The oblique fracture of radial styloid process associated with scapho-lunate dissociation will occur commonly, but easily missed in initial diagnosis which could be the cause of chronic wrist pain and ligamentous instabilities later. So careful evaluation of initial wrist x-rays and also the long-term follow up should b done.

Heavy metals in bood, urine and hair of 90 taxi-drivers in kunsan city and 60 rural inhabitants (seong-san Meyon, Okugun) were examined during from Februry to August, 1991. The average amounts of heavy metals in each group are summarized as faelows; 1. Blood - Lead contents were 23.70mg/dl in driver and 18.12mg/dl in rural inhabitants; and cadmium were 0.16mg/dl and 0.12mg/di respectively. 2. Urine - Lead contents were 33.86mg/i and 28.31mg/i in drivers group and rural inhabitants respedctively: candmium were 0.15mg/dl and 0.13mg/dl in rural inhabitants, and driver group respectively. 3. Hair - Lead cantents were 10.26mg/kg in driver and 6.94mg/kg in urral inhabitants: Cadmium were 0.52mg/kg and 0.40mg/kg in drivers and rural inhabitants respectively.
