      • The Effects of Changes in Workplace Environment on Sedentary Behavior and Work Efficiency: A Natural Pre-Post Study

        Objectives: The workplace environment has an influence on the physical well-being of workers and their productivity. This study examined how sedentary time and work efficiency changed before and after an intervention to improve the ergonomics of a workplace environment. Methods: This study was designed as a natural pre-post study. Workers were evaluated 101 (77% men, mean [SD] age=44.6[9.8] years) after the intervention. The intervention included the addition of sit-stand desks, fitness rooms, and rest areas at the workplace. The effect of the intervention was assessed after a period of three months. Sedentary behavior and physical activities were evaluated using triaxial accelerometers, body fat percentage and fat-free mass were calculated from body composition, and work engagement and work performance were evaluated through questionnaires. T-tests were used to compare the differences. Results: The percentage of time spent sitting decreased post-intervention (-1.7, 95% CI: -0.4, -3.1). Work performance compared to either three months pre-survey increased significantly post-intervention (Most workers assessment: 0.4, 95% CI: 0.8, 0.3; Self-rated performance the past year or two: 0.4, 95% CI: 0.6, 0.4; Self-rated performance the past 4 weeks: 0.3, 95% CI: 0.6, 0.3). Work engagement improved significantly in terms of vigor at work (0.8, 95% CI: 1.1, 0.5), dedication to work (0.8, 95% CI: 1.1, 0.7), and absorption in work (0.7, 95% CI: 1.1, 0.5). Conclusions: Improving a workplace environment using existing facilities decreased sedentary time and enhanced work efficiency—these findings are useful for workplace health promotion and public health policies.

      • The Correlation between Sedentary Behavior by Time Period and Physical Activity and Health Indicators among Japanese Workers

        Objectives: In order to reduce the sedentary behavior of workers who remain seated for extended periods of time, the correlation between sedentary behavior by time period and health indicators must be investigated. Thus, the purpose of this study is to investigate the correlation between the sedentary behavior during work hours or per day and the amount of physical activity and health indicator. Methods: Based on an objective measurement method using an accelerometer and Inbody, the correlation among sedentary behavior, amount of physical activity, body fat percentage, muscle mass, and demographic variables in the survey of 101 Japanese workers was analyzed. For the amount of physical activity, a triaxial accelerometer was used to measure light-intensity lifestyle activity [1.6–2.9 metabolic equivalents (METs)], sedentary time (≤1.5 METs), and vigorous physical activity (3 METs or above), which was evaluated every 10 seconds. Results: The results reveal that the sedentary behavior by time period is related to gender, age, type of occupation, low-intensity physical activity, and walking time, in which low-intensity physical activity has a greater effect on the sedentary behavior than moderate-intensity or higher physical activity. Specifically, for the sedentary time during work hours, the subjects who perform more low-intensity physical activity had a shorter sedentary time than those who do not (OR = 0.41, 95 % CI = 0.17-0.97), and those who have longer walking times per day had a shorter sedentary time than those who do not (OR = 0.21,95 % CI = 0.62-0.72). Conclusions: In order to reduce the SB of workers in the future, research on developing a strategic intervention method based on the results of this study should be conducted.

        Weak fault feature extraction of rolling bearing under strong poisson noise and variable speed conditions

        Fault feature extraction of the rolling bearing under strong background noise is always a difficult problem in bearing fault diagnosis. At present, most of the research focuses on weak signal extraction under Gaussian white noise and has certain practical significance. However, the noise in engineering is often complex and changeable, Gaussian white noise cannot fully simulate the actual strong background noise. Poisson white noise is a type of typical non-Gaussian noise, which widely exists in complex mechanical impact. It is of great significance to study the weak fault feature extraction of a faulty bearing under this type of noise. At the same time, variable speed conditions occupy most rotating machinery speed conditions. Non-stationary vibration signals make it difficult to extract fault features, and the frequency spectrum ambiguity will occur because of speed fluctuation. To solve the above problems, a method of weak feature extraction of a faulty bearing based on computed order analysis (COA) and adaptive stochastic resonance (SR) is proposed. Firstly, by numerical simulation, the nonstationary fault characteristic signal corrupted with strong Poisson noise is transformed into a stationary signal in the angle domain by COA. Secondly, the influence of the parameters of the pulse arrival rate and noise intensity of Poisson white noise on the optimal SR response in the angle domain are studied, and the influence of the parameters of Poisson white noise on the fault feature extraction is given. Then, adaptive SR method is used to extract and enhance fault feature information. Finally, the effectiveness of this method in weak fault characteristic signal extraction under strong Poisson noise is verified by experiments. Numerical simulation and experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method in bearing fault diagnosis under strong Poisson noise and variable speed conditions.

        Size and Morphology Controlling of Barium Titanate Nanocubes by Using Hydrothermal Method

        Nano-sized barium titanate (BT) cubes were synthesized by using a hydrothermal method with an aqueous Ti compound. tert-Butylamine was used as an activation agent to expedite precursor hydrolysis. Oleic acid was employed as a surfactant. The concentrations of the raw materials were found to have a very important effect on tailoring the size and the morphology of the BT nanocubes. The size of the nanocubes varied from 15 nm to 30 nm, and the size distribution was relatively narrow. The surface condition and the size of the BT nanocubes were related to the molar ratios of oleic acid to tert-butylamine. High molar ratios resulted in BT nanocubes with rough surfaces.

        A method of determining test load for full-scale wind turbine blade fatigue tests

        Full-scale fatigue test is an effective method for validating the fatigue performance of wind turbine blade. Its primary problem is how to design the test load. The conventional approach to determine test load requires a complicated and time-consuming process. Thus, a simplified method for directly converting load spectrum of blade into test load is proposed in this paper. Firstly, beam theory is used to obtain the relationship between stress, strain and bending moment of blade cross section. Based on the assumption of local stress concentration and linear relationship between stress and strain, M-N curves (applied moment vs. allowable number of cycles to failure) is defined. Secondly, based on Miner's linear cumulative damage theory and constant life diagram, the equivalent fatigue cumulative damage of load spectrum which is equal to the damage of full-scale fatigue test is obtained. Then, in the case of the selected test load ratio and cycles, the mean and amplitude of test load can be solved. Finally, the validity of the proposed method is verified by an illustrative example. The result indicates that the error of the calculated results between this method and the traditional method is close to 5 %, and it can be used for fatigue test and improve the efficiency of test load design.

        ICT환경에서 중국 소수민족 전통무용 활성화를 위한 디지털 리터러시 기반의 대학 교육과정 개선방안

        Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore ways to improve the university curriculum based on digital literacy to revitalize traditional dance of Chinese ethnic minorities in a changing information and communication technology environment. Methods: Modified Delphi research, hierarchical decision-making analysis, and expert meetings were used. Result: First, there are four components of digital literacy applicable to traditional Chinese dance of ethnic minorities: information processing capabilities of traditional minority dance using digital devices, teaching and learning capabilities of traditional minority dance using digital technology, and fourth, communication and collaboration capabilities in digital environment. It was found that the importance of each competency is the most important perception of 'minority traditional dance teaching and learning competency using digital technology'. It was followed by "information processing capability of traditional minority dance using digital technology," "communication and collaboration in a digital environment," and "copyright management capability of traditional minority dance in a digital environment." In all items, "designing teaching and learning guidance plans using digital materials" in "the teaching and learning capabilities of ethnic minorities using digital technology" was found to be the most important. Finally, as a way to improve the university curriculum to revitalize traditional Chinese dance in the ICT environment, subjects <Understanding of Traditional Dance and Digital Literacy>, <Teaching and Learning Traditional Dance using ICT>, <Digital Copyright of Traditional Dance>, and <Media Communication of Traditional Dance> were proposed. Conclusion: In order to develop the traditional dance of ethnic minorities according to the changing environment, it is necessary to internalize traditional dance education of ethnic minorities based on digital literacy. Such research will not only attempt a methodical approach to traditional Chinese dance education suitable for the changing era, but will also serve as a basic foundation for promoting traditional Chinese dance education by applying digital literacy to Chinese university curriculum. 연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 변화하는 정보통신기술 환경에서 중국 소수민족 전통무용의 활성화를 위한 디지털 리터러시 기반의 대학 교육과정 개선방안을 탐색하는 것이다. 연구방법: 조사연구, 수정된 델파이조사, 계층적 의사결정분석, 전문가회의를 활용하였다. 결과: 중국 소수민족 전통무용에 적용가능한 디지털 리터러시의 구성요소는 첫째, 디지털 기기를 활용한 소수민족 전통무용의 정보처리 역량, 둘째, 디지털 기술을 활용한 소수민족 전통무용 교수학습 역량, 셋째, 디지털 환경에서 소수민족 전통무용의 저작권 관리 역량, 넷째, 디지털 환경에서의 소통 및 협업 역량의 네 가지로 도출하였다. 각 역량별 중요도는‘디지털 기술을 활용한 소수민족 전통무용 교수학습 역량’을 가장 중요하게 지각하고 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 그 뒤를 이어‘디지털 기술을 활용한 소수민족 전통무용의 정보처리 역량’,‘디지털 환경에서의 소통 및 협업’,‘디지털 환경에서 소수민족 전통무용의 저작권 관리 역량’순으로 나타났다. 전체항목에서는‘디지털 기술을 활용한 소수민족 전통무용 교수학습 역량’에서의 ‘디지털 자료를 활용한 교수학습 지도안 설계’가 가장 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 ICT 환경에서 중국 소수민족 전통무용의 활성화를 위한 대학 교육과정의 개선방안으로 디지털 리터러시 역량을 강화할 수 있는 교과목 <전통무용과 디지털 리터러시의 이해>, <ICT를 활용한 전통무용 교수학습>, <전통무용의 디지털 저작권>, <전통무용의 매체 커뮤니케이션>을 제안하였다. 결론: 변화하는 환경에 따라 소수민족 전통무용이 발전하기 위해서는 디지털 리터러시를 기반으로 한 소수민족 전통무용 교육의 내실화가 필요하다. 이와 같은 연구는 변화하는 시대에 적합한 중국 소수민족 전통무용 교육의 방법적 접근을 시도할 뿐 아니라, 중국 대학 교육과정에 디지털 리터러시를 적용하여 중국 소수민족 전통무용 교육의 활성화를 도모하기 위한 기초적 토대가 되어줄 것이다.

        近代知識體系下的職業人群與社會網絡 -對上海震旦大學的考察-

        近代中國知識體系的構建非常復雜, 從晩淸到民國, 所稱的“西學”, “新學”, 其形式·內容都發生了흔大的變化。本文以上海震旦爲例, 詳細解讀近代學校的新知識體系構建及其變化。從徐家匯到盧家灣, 由學院到大學, 震旦屢經變遷, 從震旦各個時期的章程·大綱·敎學計劃·歷年課程表·各科敎材講義, 以及當年刊印的震旦課本·震旦出版物中, 淸석地勾勒出震旦新知識體系的構建與선變。隨著近代知識的專業化, 直接推動了接受近代知識人群的職業化。在震旦大學新構建的知識體系中, 催生出不少新的職業人群, 出現了諸如律師·法官·西醫·會計師·經濟師·工程師·設計師, 還有職業經理人, 等等, 近代職業人群與近代中國城市發展需求相適應。與此同時, 那些接受了新知識的職業人群, 在他們的人際關系中, 又多了壹層同學關系, 背後還有廣泛的校友網絡。 It is very complex to construct the knowledge system in modern times. The socalled Western Learning had changed a great deal from the Late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China both in form and content. Taking the Aurora University for example, this paper has detailedly analyzed how the new knowledge system had been built and how had changed in modern times. The Aurora University had changed greatly in places from Xujiahui to Lujiawan, as well as in its level from a College to an University, which is clearly outlined by the study based on the regulations, teaching programms, plans in different times, curriculums over the years, various textbooks and teaching materials including the publications in those days. And the specialization of modern knowledge system had directly promote a new occupation population. As the Aurora University for example, the new professional population had arised in various fields, such as lawyer, judge, western medicine, accountant, economic manager, engineer, designer, professional manager and so on, which was adapted to the social development of modern city. Meanwhile, the interpersonal relationship of this population had added a new relationship of schoolmates. In other words, there were wide alumni networks behind these people.

      • 전단지의 특성이 중국 소비자의 구매의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        본 연구에서는 전단지를 활용한 촉진이 중국 소비자들의 구매의도에 어떤 영향을 미치는지에 대해서 두 차례의, 실험연구를 통해서 분석하였다.본 연구에서는 전단지의 제품 관련 속성과 촉진 관련속성을 선정하여, 두 차례의 실험 설계를 통해서 전단지를 활용한 촉진이 중국 소비자들의 지각된 가치와 지각된 위험, 그리고 구매의도에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다.첫 번째 실험연구에서는 전단지의 제품 관련 속성으로서 할인 폭과 특성광고의 효과를 살펴보았으며, 두 번째 실험연구에서는 전단지의 촉진 관련 속성으로 브랜드 프로모션 유무와 연관상품 촉진 유무에 대해서 2x2의 실험 설계를 통해 조사하였다. 연구 결과, 전단지의 특성을 활용한 촉진은 중국 소비자들의 구매의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 지각된 위험은 구매의도에 유의한 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났는데, 이는 중국 소비자들이 가격을 더 중시하기 때문으로 추정할 수 있다. 마지막으로 이에 따른 시사점과 한계점들을 서술하였다. This study presents two experiments to investigate how store flyer promotion affects Chinese customers`` purchase intention. The particular interest is whether store flyers have different influences in different countries. This paper analyzes China, one of the world’s fastest-growing economies as a representative to explore the issue. Specifically, this study proposes a promotion and product characteristics for empirically analyzing the effect of store flyer promotion on Chinese consumers`` purchase intention. Tested through two experiments, the results demonstrate that store flyer promotion has a significant positive effect on Chinese consumers’ perceived value and purchase intention. These findings indicate that Chinese consumers are price-oriented rather than quality-oriented, and store flyer promotion are effective marketing tools for Chinese retailers.

      • Numerical studies of unsteady flow field and aerodynamic forces on an oscillating 5:1 rectangular cylinder in a sinusoidal streamwise flow

        Numerical simulations are conducted to investigate the uniform flow (UF) and sinusoidal streamwise flow (SSF) over an oscillating 5:1 rectangular cylinder with harmonic heaving motion at initial angles of attack of α = 0° and 3° using twodimensional, unsteady Reynolds-averaged Navier–Stokes (URANS) equations. First, the aerodynamic parameters of a stationary 5:1 rectangular cylinder in UF are compared with the previous experimental and numerical data to validate the capability of the computationally efficient two-dimensional URANS simulations. Then, the unsteady flow field and aerodynamic forces of the oscillating 5:1 rectangular cylinder in SSF are analysed and compared with those in UF to explore the effect of SSF on the rectangular cylinder. Results show that the alternative vortex shedding is disturbed by SSF both at α = 0° and 3°, resulting in a considerable decrease in the vortex-induced force, whereas the unsteady lift component induced by cylinder motion remains almost unchanged in the SSF comparing with that in UF. Notably, the strong buffeting forces are observed at α = 3° and the energy associated with unsteady lift is primarily because of the oscillations of SSF. In addition, the components of unsteady lift induced by the coupling effects of SSF and cylinder motion are discussed in detail.
