      • Ho-166 부착풍선도자를 이용한 방사선 조사의 돼지 관상동맥 스텐트 재협착 예방 효과

        배경 : 국내에서 개발된 방사선 동위원소 Holmium-166 (166Ho)은 주로 베타선을 방출하며, 166Ho을 부착한 풍선도자를 이용하여 돼지 관상동맥 재협착 모형에서 풍선확장술 후 신생내막 증식을 전신적 부작용 없이 안전하고 효과적으로 억제하였음을 보고한 바 있다. 본 연구에서는 돼지 관상동맥 스텐트 재협착 모형에서 스텐트 시술 후 신생내막 증식에 의한 재협착 병변을 166Ho 부착 풍선도자를 이용하여 치료하여 그 효과를 관찰하고자 하였다. 방법

        광조사 방식이 복합레진의 중합과 누출에 미치는 영향

        The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of light irradiation modes on polymerization shrinkage, degree of cure and microleakage of a composite resin. VIP^™ (Bisco Dental Products, Schaumburg, IL, USA) and Optilux 501^™(demetron/ Kerr, Danbury, CT, USA) were used for curing Filtek^™ Z-250(3M Dental Products, St. Paul., MN, USA) composite resin using following irradiation modes: VIP^™ (Bisco) 200mW/cm^2 (V2), 400mW/cm^2 (V4), 600mW/cm^2 (V6), Pulse-delay (200 mW/cm^2 3 seconds, 5 minutes wait, 600mW/cm^2 30seconds, VPD) and Optilux 501^™ (Demetron/Kerr) C-mode (OC), R-mode (OR). Linear polymerization shrinkage of the composite specimens were measured using Linometer (R&B, Daejeon, Korea) for 90 seconds for V2, V4, V6, OC, OR groups and for up to 363 seconds for VPD group (n=10, each). Degree of conversion was measured using FTIR spectrometer (IFS 120 HR, Bruker Karlsruhe, Germany) at the bottom surface of 2 mm thick composite specimens. V2, V4, V6, OC groups were measured separately at five irradiation times (5, 10, 20, 40, 60 seconds) and Or, VPD groups were measured in the above mentioned irradiation modes (n=5, each). Microhardness was measured using Digital microhardness tester (FM7, Future-Tech Co., Tokyo, Japan) at the top and bottom surfaces of 2mm thick composite specimens after exposure to the same irradiation modes as the test of degree of conversion(n=3, each). For the microleakage test, class V cavities were prepared on the distal surface of the ninety extracted human third molars. The cavities were restored with one of the following irradiation modes: V2/60 seconds. V4/40 seconds, V6/30 seconds, VPD, OC and OR. Microleakage was asessed by dye penetration along enamel and dentin marigns of cavities. Mean polymerization shrinkage, mean degree of conversion and mean microhardness values for all groups at each time were analyzed using one-way ANOVA and Duncan's multiple range test, and using chisquare test for microleakage values. The results were as follows: ·Polymerization shrinkage was increased with higher light intensity in groups using VIP^™(Bisco) : the highset with 600mW/cm^2, followed by Pulse-delay, 400mW/cm^2 and 200mW/cm^2 groups. The degree of polymerization shrinkage was higher with Continuous mode than with Ramp mode in groups using Optilux 501^™ (Demetron/Kerr). ·Degree of conversion and microhardness values were higher with higher light intensity. The final degree of conversion was in the range of 44.7 to 54.98% and the final microhardness value in the range of 34.10 to 56.340. ·Microleakage was greater in dentin margin than in enamel margin. Higher light intensity showed more microleakage in dentin margin in groups using VIP^™ (Bisco). The microleakage was the lowest with Continuous mode in enamel margin and with Ramp mode in dentin margin when Optilux 501^™ (Demetron/Kerr) was used.

        The collection efficiency of the Lapple's standard-type cyclone separator was determined in order to investigate the effects of the particle size of the dust samples, the dust loading, and the air inlet velocity to the cyclone under the ambient conditions. The experimental conditions are in the following ranges; the air inlet velocity; 5 to 14.7 m/s, the particle sizes of the mono-dispersed system; 14 to 280 ㎛, the dust loading; 17.8 to 58.6 g/㎥, respectively. The collection efficiencies determined were compared with those predicted by the semi-empirical equations proposed earlier by Strauss (³) and by Licht et al, (⁴) and those are shown to be increased, as the particle size of the sample dusts and the air inlet velocity increase, respectively. However, the effect of the dust loading in the air could not be recognized, but slightly increased. For the poly-dispersed particulate samples, having a wide particle size distribution, the grade or separation efficiency curve was experimentally determined to specify more exactly the cyclone separation performance, and the result was discussed with the statistical analysis previously worked by Herrmann.(??)

        Adenovirus-mediated heme oxygenase-1 gene transfer to neonatal porcine islet-like cluster cells: the effects on gene expression and protection from cell stress

        Porcine islet xenotransplantation is a promising strategy for the treatment of diabetes that overcomes donor shortages. However, islet xenografts are susceptible to oxidative stress and apoptosis. Heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) has been shown to protect cells from oxidative stress, apoptosis and inflammation. Here, we investigated whether introduction of human HO-1 (hHO-1) into neonatal porcine islet-like cell clusters (NPCCs) can induce beneficial transcriptional changes in NPCCs against cellular stress. NPCCs were transduced with either adenovirus-HO-1 (Ad-HO-1) or control adenovirus-GFP (Ad-GFP). After treatment with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) for 24 hours, nitrite oxide (NO) production assays were performed to detect oxidative stress. Microarray analysis was performed using a pig oligonucleotide 44 K gene chip. We profiled transcriptional changes to apoptosis, oxidant and inflammatory genes, and real-time PCR analysis was also performed to confirm the microarray results. Survival of NPCCs after treatment with H2O2 was significantly higher in the Ad-HO-1 group (p⁄0.001), and NO production also decreased in the Ad-HO-1 group (p⁄0.01). The microarray results showed that the expression of pro-apoptosis genes such as CASP3, CASP7, CASP10, CIDE-B and CIDE-C was significantly decreased in the Ad-HO-1 virus group (CASP10; p⁄0.05, CASP3, CIDE-C; p⁄0.01, CASP7, CIDE-B; p⁄0.001). We also found that the expression of oxidative stresses genes including COX1, COX2, CYB5A, SDHD and NOS2 was decreased, and that the anti-oxidant genes Gpx1 and SOD2 were increased in the Ad-HO-1 group (NOS2; p⁄0.05, COXI, COX2, CYB5A, SDHD, SOD2, GPX1; p⁄0.001). However, inflammatory gene expression was not significantly changed. Realtime PCR analysis confirmed the results of the microarray analysis. These results shed light on the underlying mechanisms of the protective effects of hHO-1 on porcine islets from cellular stresses and suggest that hHO-1 could be a promising target gene for the production of transgenic pigs that confer improved islet xenograft survival.

        국립공원 아고산대 독립훼손지 복원식생 분포특성 및 관리방안

        본 연구는 독립훼손지 중 아고산대에 위치한 지리산국립공원 세석평전과 노고단 복원식생지를 대상으로 현존식생 분석 및 식생분포 특성을 파악하여 중장기적인 모니터링 및 관리방안 수립을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 수행하였다. 현존식생 조사범위는 훼손지 일대 유역권분포 현황을 고려하여 설정하였으며, 세석평전 조사면적은 55,037㎡, 노고단 조사면적은 166,599㎡ 이었다. 세석평전은 초본층에 의한 식생피복도는 90% 이상 수준으로서 나지노출이 없었고, 관목층의 피복도가 60% 이상으로 안정화되어 있었다. 주요 출현수종은 구상나무, 사스래나무, 쇠물푸레나무, 철쭉, 털진달래, 붉은병꽃나무 등 식재수종과 자연적으로 이입한 자생수종이 생육하고 있었다. 노고단은 신갈나무, 호랑버들, 철쭉, 털진달래, 미역줄나무 등이 우점하는 관목식생지가 52%로 가장 넓게 분포하고 있었고, 전반적으로 식생활착 상태가 양호하였다. 노고단의 원식생은 신갈나무군락으로 추정되었고, 군부대철거지에는 귀화식물이 분포하고 있기 때문에 적극적인 관리가 필요하였다. 연구대상지는 장기적으로 주변 자연식생과 조화로운 식생경관으로 발달할 것으로 예측되었다. 향후 훼손지 복원모델은 인근 지역의 원식생을 고려하여 설정해야 할 것이지만, 복원 달성 목표는 실현가능한 수준의 목표를 설정해야 할 것이다. This study was conducted to provide basic data for mid-to long-term monitoring and establishment of management plans by analyzing the existing vegetation and identifying the vegetation distribution characteristics for the restored vegetation in Nogodan and Seseokpyeongjeon in Jirisan National Park located in the subalpine zone among the independent damaged areas. Actual vegetation survey range was established in consideration of the distribution of the watershed around the damaged area. The surveyed area of Seseokpyeongjeon was 55,037㎡, and the surveyed area of Nogodan was 166,599㎡. In Seseokpyeongjeon, the vegetation coverage by the herbaceous layer was almost 90% or more, there was no bare exposure, and the coverage of the shrub layer was stabilized at 60% or more. The main emerging tree species were planted species such as Abies koreana, Betula ermanii, Fraxinus sieboldiana, Rhododendron schlippenbachii, Rhododendron mucronulatum var. ciliatum, and Weigela florida as well as natively migrated native species. In Nogodan, the shrub vegetation dominated by Quercus mongolica, Salix caprea, Rhododendron schlippenbachii, Rhododendron mucronulatum var. ciliatum, and Tripterygium regelii was the most widely distributed with 52% of the area, and the overall diet was good. The native vegetation of Nogodan was presumed to be a cypress colony. Naturalized plants were distributed in the military base demolition site, so active management was required. The study site was predicted to develop into a vegetation landscape in harmony with the surrounding natural vegetation in the long term. In the future, the restoration model for damaged areas should be set in consideration of the native vegetation of the nearby area, but the goal to achieve restoration should be set at a feasible level.

        Apert syndrome : 증례보고

        Apert syndrome은 관상봉합의 조기유합에 의한 첨두증(acrocephaly)과 합지증(syndactyly)이 함께 나타나는 선천성 유전 질환으로서, 1906년 Apert에 의해 보고된 증후군이다. 약 65,000∼160,000당 1명꼴로 발생되며, FGFR2(fibroblast growth factor receptor 2)의 돌연변이로 생겨난다고 알려져 있고, 상염색체 우성 유전을 한다. 임상적으로 첨단두증(acrobrachycephaly)을 보이고, 특징적으로 손과 발의 합지증을 보이며, 높은 이마와 평평한 뒤통수, 후퇴된 중안면부, 안구돌출, 시력이상, 양안격리증, 밑으로 쳐진 안검열, 상악골 형성부전, 상대적인 하악 전돌의 양상 등을 보인다. 감소된 비강인두와 좁아진 후비공으로 인한 구호흡과 전방부 개교를 보이며, 이완시에 입술의 모양은 사다리꼴 형태를 보인다. 중이염이 흔하고, 청각장애를 유발하기도 하며, 정신지체가 높은 비율로 나타난다. 특징적인 구내소견으로 연구개열 또는 구개수열과 가성 경구개열, V자 모양의 악궁과 치열의 총생 등이 관찰되며, 전치부 개방교합과 구치부 교차교합을 동반한 Class III부정교합을 보인다. 본 증례는 강릉대학교 치과병원 소아치과에 내원한 6세 3개월의 남아로 충치 치료를 받고 싶다는 것을 주소로 내원하였다. 이 환자에서 보이는 Apert syndrome의 특징적인 치과적 소견에 대해 보고하는 바이다. Apert syndrome is an autosomal dominant condition characterized by craniosynostosis, midface hypoplasia, and syndactyly of the hands and feet. It occurs in about 1 of every 65,000 to 160,000 births and is caused by a mutation in the fibroblast growth factor receptor 2(FGFR2) gene. Apert syndrome typically produces acrobrachycephaly(tower skull). The occiput is flattened, and there is a tall appearance to the fore head. Ocular proptosis is a characteristic finding, along with hypertelorism and downward slanting lateral palpebral fissures. The middle third of the face is markedly retruded and hypoplastic, resulting in a relative mandibular prognathism. The reduced size of the nasopharynx and narrowing of the posterior choana can lead to mouth breathing, contributing to an open-mouth apprance. Three fourths of all patients exhibit either a cleft of the soft palate or a bifid uvula. The maxillary hypoplasia leads to a V-shaped arch and crowding of the teeth. A 6-year-old male patient visited to the Department of Pediatric dentistry, Kangnung National University of Dental Hospital. He visited the hospital to get treatment of carious teeth. The purpose of this report is to present a specific dental manifestations about the apert syndrome.

        Probable Plaintext Attack uses some probable plaintexts to find a secret key using the relationship between a pair of plaintext and ciphertext. IP header have some probable fields which can be used in a probable plaintext attack. Because of address size, Plaintext of IPv6 have more than plaintext of IPv4. In order to reduce the size of a probable plaintext in IPv6, it is required to exclude the address field from the probable plaintext attack. An encryption technique using random numbers is proposed. Before IPSEC mechanism is applied to a packet, the address field is exclusive-ored with a random number, which ensures that the address field is concealed from a probable plaintext attack. This reduces the large amount of a probable plaintext size in IPv6.

      • The Protein and Isozyme Patterns During in vitro Plant Regeneration of Yooja (Citrus junos Sieb.) and Trifoliate Orange (Poncirus trifoliata Rafin.)

        In this study, plant regeneration through in vitro culture from plantlet stems of Yooja (C. junos Sieb.) and trifoliate orange (P. trifoliata Rafin.) was attempted to make mass-production system of virus-free plants having the same genotype with mother plant. In order to investigate physiological change depending on the developmental stage of plant regeneration, the changes of total protein, peroxidase and esterase activity and their isozyme patterns as well were examined in 1/2 MS medium. The results are as follows : 1. The MS medium for the optimal callus induction and shoot formation was utilized. The medium was supplemented either with 2,4-D and Kinetin or with BA and NAA. The optimal concentrations were the combination of 1.0mg/ 2,4-D +0.3mg/ Kinetin and 1.0mg BA +0.3mg NAA in callus induction and shoot formation, respectively. 2. For the plant regeneration from somatic embryos, 1/2 MS medium was used with supplements of growth regulators (free, 1.0mg/ IBA +1.0mg/ BA ,0.5mg/ IBA +0.5mg/ BA). Shooting and rooting were the best in the treatment of 0.5mg/ IBA and 0.5mg/ BA combination. 3. The total protein content has a tendency of increase with the developmental stage of embryo, but it was decreased at the plantlet. Also it was the highest at 8 and 6 weeks stage in C. junos Sieb. and P. trioliata Rafin, respectively. In the SDS-PAGE pattern of protein, C. junos Sieb. showed bands of 29.0 and 40kDa at 10 weeks. The 45,66 and 97.4 kDa bands at 10 weeks of culture were shown in P. trifoliata Rafin. 4. The highest esterase activity was shown at the 6 and 8 weeks of culture in C.junos Sieb. and P. trifoliata Rafin.., respectively. 5. Esterase isozyme patterns were shown difference according to the developmental stage. In C. junos Sieb. a new band was observed at pl 7.7 following 4 weeks culture. On the other hand, new bands in P. trifoliata Rafin. were observed at pl 7.5~6.5 following 4 and 6 weeks culture, respectively.
