We investigated the mechanism how the high green density can be provided during die lubricated warm compaction (WD). We observed and analyzed the densification processes of iron powders including different contents of an inner lubricant, and measured the lateral pressure at the die wall during WD in comparison with conventional compaction and warm compaction. As a result, the high density in WD was due to not only the particles-deformation enhanced by warming powders but also the particles-rearrangement promoted by reducing an amount of the inner lubricant rather than the die lubrication.

Objective: The effect of antipsychotic drugs on quantitative electroencephalography (EEG) has been mainly examined by the administration of a single test dose or among patients using combinations of other psychotropic drugs. We therefore investigated the effects of strict monotherapy with antipsychotic drugs on quantitative EEG among schizophrenia patients. Methods: Data from 2,364 medical reports with EEG results from psychiatric patients admitted to the Hokkaido University Hospital were used. We extracted EEG records of patients who were diagnosed with schizophrenia spectrum disorders and who were either undergoing strict antipsychotic monotherapy or were completely free of psychotropic drugs. The spectral power was compared between drug-free patients and patients using antipsychotic drugs. We also performed multiple regression analysis to evaluate the relationship between spectral power and the chlorpromazine equivalent daily dose of antipsychotics in all the patients. Results: We included 31 monotherapy and 20 drug-free patients. Compared with drug-free patients, patients receiving antipsychotic drugs demonstrated significant increases in theta, alpha and beta power. When patients taking different types of antipsychotics were compared with drug-free patients, we found no significant change in any spectrum power for the aripiprazole or blonanserin groups. Patients taking risperidone demonstrated significant increases in alpha and beta power. Patients taking clozapine and olanzapine demonstrated significant slow wave increases. Multiple regression analysis revealed that the chlorpromazine equivalent dose was positively associated with theta power. Conclusion: Use of any antipsychotic drug by patients was associated with a dose-dependent increase in theta power. However, each type of antipsychotic demonstrated different spectral power changes.
The Politicality of Modern Japan: Korea Editions’ Use of Korean Literature
Natsuko Ozaki 고려대학교 한국사연구소 2022 International Journal of Korean History Vol.27 No.1
It is well known that the editor of Modern Japan (Modan Nippon), published by Bungei Shunju, was Ma Haesong, a native of the Korean peninsula. Although Modern Japan fell short of attaining the same level of popularity as Kōdansha’s King (Kingu), it reached a broader range of readers than the rival modern magazine New Youth (Shin seinen), associated with the important writers Edogawa Ranpo and Yokomizo Seishi. Indeed, Modern Japan cultivated a profile somewhere between that of King and New Youth. However, perhaps due to its middling status, the magazine has yet to be the subject of a comprehensive study in any of the fields of literary, cultural, or publishing studies. This paper looks specifically at two special extra editions of Modern Japan, called the Korea Editions, published in 1939 and 1940 respectively. These special editions contained a hybrid of both state propagandistic elements and editor Ma Haesong’s perspective on his homeland. Although there is some extant research on the Korea Editions from several points of view, there is still room for a detailed analysis of how exactly Korean writers and literary works were introduced in their pages, and what type of literature was included. Specifically, this paper examines the literary criticism of Kim Saryang and Han Sik, clarifying their differing appraisals of the contemporary literary situation. Then, it analyzes the style and content of Pak T’aewŏn’s short story, “A Street Darkly” (Michi ha kuraki wo). Through highlighting this combination of perspectives, I hope to illuminate the politicality of Modern Japan realized through a rereading of the Korea Editions.
Fast Filter for Verified Convex Hull and its Performance
Katsuhisa Ozaki,Takeshi Ogita,Shin’ichi Oishi 대한전자공학회 2009 ITC-CSCC :International Technical Conference on Ci Vol.2009 No.7
This paper is concerned with accurate algorithms in computational geometry. We propose fast algorithms to obtain an exact convex hull for a set of points on two-dimensional space. We call them verified algorithms. We improve a criterion for a fast verified algorithm which is called ’filter’. Finally, numerical examples show that computing times for verified algorithms are comparable to those for non-verified algorithms in many cases.
High-speed embedded optical flow measurement system for real-time use
Masaya Ozaki,Teruo Yamaguchi 제어로봇시스템학회 2021 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2021 No.10
In recent years, there are more and more opportunities for robots to be active in society. It is necessary to develop a system that processes information that enters the robot’s vision faster and more accurately. In the development of visual sensors, the calculation speed and accuracy of the measurement are issues that should be improved. Parallel trade off of the processing was used as a means of speeding up the calculation. In this research, we have developed a system that can measure optical flow with an embedded microprocessor, to detect obstacles in real time and accurately detect its own movement speed on a small robot. We have conducted two experiments, one in which the camera was fixed and a moving subject was photographed, and the other in which the camera was moved and photographed. Experimented results show that was possible to reduce the calculation time by about one-third for real-time processing, and it was possible to detect the difference in the speed of the camera itself.
Low-speed Wake Analysis of Supersonic Biplane

This study was focused on the profile drag estimation from the wake survey of the now field with the wind tunnel testing. The experimental investigation was conducted with the low turbulence wind tunnel to estimate the profile drag coefficient of the supersonic biplane from the pressure loss in the wake of the model. The surveys were conducted behind the supersonic biplane model whose airfoil could realize the shock wave cancellation at design Mach number 1.7. The two-dimensional CFD simulations were also conducted to compare with the experimental results. The reduction of the test data by Jones equation gave the profile drag coefficients agreed with those obtained from the CFD simulations at zero lift conditions. However, at lifting conditions. the experimental results and the CFD results didn't agree. In this study, the profile drag characteristics of the supersonic biplane were discussed based on these results.

Objective: The purpose of this research is to propose an evaluation method of HMI (Human Machine Interface) system for motorcycles. Background: In recent years, injury accidents of four-wheeled vehicles are decreasing, but the accidents of motorcycles are still on a high trend. As a reason for this, active safety systems are beginning to spread for four-wheeled vehicles, but it is not very common for motorcycles. In addition, evaluation method of HMI system for motorcycle has not been proposed yet. Method: In our previous studies, we proposed the HMI system for motorcycles and carried out experiments for the evaluation of its effectiveness to minimize traffic accidents. In this paper we evaluate the accident reduction effect of this system using Monte Carlo simulation. We focused on a typical accident in Japan which is the head to head collision at blind intersections, and the person who is driving on a non-priority road. At the experiment which we did, we set scenarios that a motorcycle rider is using the HMI system or a rider is not using system, and a rider is using the HMI but the system malfunction occurs. We set malfunction scenario in order to survey the dependence level on the system of motorcycle riders. From this experiment, we analyzed the collision probability. And we perform Monte Carlo Simulation based on RT (Reaction Time) and Tca (Time for Collision Avoidance) which were investigated in the experiment study. From this simulation, we quantified the collision probability and impact speed. Conclusion: By using the system, we confirmed that the system can reduce the accident probability. We can conclude that this proposed method is possible to evaluate the HMI system for motorcycles.
