        Synthesis of 18F-labeled Novel Phosphonium cations as PET Myocardial Perfusion Imaging Agents: Pilot Imaging Studies

        The development of myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) agents has been motivated because coronary artery disease has been one of the leading causes of death worldwide since the 1960s. Several positron emission tomography (PET) MPI agents were developed, and 18F-labeled phosphonium cations were reported actively among them. In this study, we synthesized novel 18F-labeled phosphonium cations, (5-[18F]fluoropentyl)diphenyl( pyridin-2-yl)phosphonium and (2-(2-[18F]fluoroethoxy)ethyl)diphenyl(pyridin-2-yl)phosphonium, and evaluated potential as MPI agents. Two labeled compounds were synthesized via nucleophilic substitution reactions of 18F-fluoride with the appropriate tosylate precursor in the presence of Kryptofix 2.2.2 and K2CO3. MicroPET studies were performed in normal rats to evaluate in vivo distribution of radiolabeled phosphonium cations for 60 min. The radiolabeled compounds were synthesized with 5%–10% yield. The radiochemical purity of labeled compounds was > 98% by analytical HPLC, and the specific activity was > 11.8 GBq/μmol. The result of microPET studies of these labeled compounds in rats showed intense uptake in the myocardium at 30 and 60 min. The results suggest that these 18F-labeled novel phosphonium cations would have potential as promising candidates for myocardial perfusion imaging.

      • 일부 치과기공소의 작업장내 공기와 기공사의 혈중 니켈, 크롬 및 카드뮴함량에 대한 연구

        To evaluate some health hazards of dental technician by metal pollution, nickel, chromium and cadmium levels in indoor air of 8 laboratories and in whole bolld of 69 male dental technicians were investigated. Six offices and 36 male office workers were studied as control group. Airborne metals were mesured at breathing zone by personal air sampling method. Collected samples were pretreated by wet digestion, and nickel, chromium and cadmium were determined by flameless method using A.A. spectrophotometer. Also, the nickel, chromium and cadmium concentrations in whole blood were determined by A.A. spectrophotometer after simple dilution with distilled water. the airborne nickel, chromium and cadmium contents were higher in dental laboratory than in office, and higher in polish section than in carving section of the dental laboratory. But all of the airborne metals were ranged within TLV(Threshold Limit Value). Blood nickel, chromium and cadmium levels in dental technician and office-worker, but was not significant difference between polish and carving section of dental technician. Blood nickel concentration of dental technician was correlated with occupational career(r=0.2439, p<0.05) and increased according to occupational duration(F=2.90, p<0.05). Blood chromium and cadmium concentations were not significant difference between dental technician and office worker. Smoking increased only bolld cadmium level in office-worker.

      • Cadmium과 Di-(2-ethylhexyl) Phthalate에 의한 고환 독성 : 아연과 Apoptosis의 역할 The Role of Zinc and Apoptosis

        Cadmium (Cd) and di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate are used widely and distributed ubiquitously in the environment, which are well-known reproductive toxicants. DEHP and/or Cd causes the apoptosis, degeneration of spermatogenic cells, and massive necrosis, resulting in testicular atrophy. Zinc is an essential metal in spermatogenesis, the zinc concentration in testis is changed in DEHP- or Cd-treated animals. However, the role of zinc or apoptosis in testicular toxicity by DEHP or Cd has not been understood well. In this study, Sprague-Dawley male rats were given DEHP (2 g/kg, 5 ml corn-oil, PO) or Cd (CdCl₂2 mg/kg, 4 ml saline, sc) for 1, 2, 7 and 14 days. Control rats were given vehicle corresponding to each group. At day 1, 2, 7, and 14 after administration of DEHP or Cd, the morphological findings including apoptosis in testes were observed under the light microscope, and the zinc concentrations in testes were determined by atomic absorption spectrometry with flame method. Fas and FasL mRNA in testes were analyzed by RT-PCR method at 12 hours, 1, 7, 14 days after adminstration of DEHP or Cd. Absolute and relative testicular weight were lower in DEHP- or Cd-treated rats than control. DEHP or Cd produced morphological changes in testes, including apoptosis, degeneration, necrosis and massive loss of spermatogenic cells, resulting in testicular atrophy. The zinc concentration in testes was not different at day 1 after administration of DEHP, but was decreased at later times. Testicular zinc was lower at day 1, 2 in Cd-treated rats than control, but was higher at 7, 14 days after Cd administration. The levels of Fas and FasL mRNA were highly expressed in testes after administration of DEHP or Cd. These results suggest that the change of zinc level in testes might be a secondary effect of DEHP- or Cd-induced testicular toxicity, and Fas signal system might be play an important role in pocessing of apoptosis in testes by DEHP or Cd.

      • Bisphenol A 아만성 노출이 랫트의 수컷 생식기계에 미치는 영향

        Bisphenol A, which is widely used in the manufacture of several types of plastics including polycarbonate and epoxy resins, elicits weak estrogenic activity in in vitro and in vivo test system. the objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of low-dose bisphenol A on male reproductive organs. Male Fischer 344 rats were given bisphenol A in the drinking water at levels of ○(control),0.1,1,10,100 ppm, respectively, for 13 weeks. Body weight changes, weights of reproductive organs(testes, epididymides, ventral prostate, dorsolateral prostate, seminal vesicles), daily sprem production, epididymal sprem density, histology of reproductive organs and testicular enzyme astivities(γ-glutamyl transpeptidase, sorbitol dehydrogenase, acid phosphatase,β-glucuronidase)were not affected bt exposure to bisphenol A at any dose examined. The results of this study suggest that exposure of F344 rats to low-dose bisphenol A might be not reduce sprem density and disrupt developnebt of the male reproductive organs.

        교잡종 찰옥수수에 대한 연구 III : Ⅲ. 국내 옥수수 유전자원 수집종에 대한 주요 특성 분포

        2006년 국내 각 지역으로부터 수집된 재래종옥수수 유전자원을 관행방법에 의해 파종하고 주요특성별로 분포도를 살펴본 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 수집된 유전자원에 대한 발아율은 대부분 80∼100%이상의 분포를 보였으나, 일부 수집계통에는 30% 미만의 극히 저조한 발아율을 보였다. 2. 수집자원에 대한 초기생육을 살펴보면 극히 생육이 저조한 것이 40% 정도를 보였고, 극히 우수한 자원은 3%미만으로 나타났다. 3. 간장은 대부분이 150∼199cm범위에 55%가 분포하고 있었으나, l00cm이하가 5%, 250cm이상이 8%로 나타나 수집종간에 큰 차이를 보였다. 4. 주당 분얼수는 1개 미만이 40%의 분포를 보였으나, 일부 수집종에서 2 내지 3개의 분얼수를 보이는 계통이 확인되었다. 5. 개화소요일수는 61∼64일의 범위에서 40%, 57∼60일의 범위에서 30%의 분포를 보였으며, 특히 일부 수집종의 경우 55일 이하의 극조생종도 10% 정도의 분포를 보였다. 6. 이삭길이는 대부분 11∼15cm범위에 60%가 포함되어 있으나, 일부계통에서 5cm미만이 2%, 16∼20cm의 이삭길이도 10%가 분포하였다. Germination ratio on the 300 collected genetic resources showed 80 to 100 percentage, but those of some accessions were very low as below 30 percentage. Early growth phase of most of these lines were very poor while some collected lines were very vigor. Range of stem height showed from 150 to 199cm, but that of some accessions showed below 100cm as five percentage and some of them was over 250cm as eight percentage. Number of tillers per plant appeared less one but some collected lines have two to three tillers per plant. In days to tasseling, some accessions showed more four per plant. Ear length of these accession showed above 60 percentage as 11 to 15cm, while that of some collected lines showed over 10 percentage as 16 to 20cm.

      • 습기제거시스템의 성능에 관한 연구

        The performance of moisture removal system is investigated analytically and experimentally. The program for the moist air calculation and for the condensing tube design are developed to examine the factors which affect moisture removal rate. Experimental apparatus comprises condensing tube, cooling system, vacuum pump, measurement and control devices. Thermoelectric cooling system and vapor compression refrigeration system are used to cool the air, and the performance of two systems are compared each other. Thermoelectric cooling system is compact and free from noise and vibration, but cooling rate of it is relatively slow compared to that of vapor compression refrigeration system. Air velocity, indoor temperature and humidity, temperature of coolant, size and material of condensing tube are found to affect the performance of moisture removal.

        Construction site has contributed to construction productivity improvement by utilizing information, simplification, and standardization concept. Also it has contributed to quality and productivity improvement by standardizing design and construction process, using them to a fair decision-making process by organizing diverse data in construction process. However, construction process has diverse variables and uncertain case due to particularity in construction. These parts have an effect on construction process. To use unorganic construction information and knowledge properly has become the factor to project success. Therefore, this study analyzes that D-virus of the uneasy factors has an effect on safety control of construction industry. That is to say, aim of the study is to suggest the solution to remove those after confirming for these factors to have certain effect in construction process through fact finding survey and retesting the factors of D-virus to refer in business management in a constructive position.

        In this paper, a simple 2-D.O.F. planar motion model is proposed in order to analyze the snake motion of a cross head assembly of a Multi-axis micro milling machine (M4) for BT-factory, that is travelling on linear guide. In the proposed mathematical model, the friction between head and guide ways is neglected, and also the support structures including the linear guides of M4 are assumed to be rigid. The equations of motion of the proposed model are derived and successfully solved to determine vibration responses of a cross head assembly due to some applied traction forces.
