Mei-Ying Ren,Xiao-Ming Zeng 대한수학회 2013 대한수학회보 Vol.50 No.4
In this paper, a kind of modified q-Bernstein-Schurer operators is introduced. The Korovkin type statistical approximation property of these operators is investigated. Then the rates of statistical convergence of these operators are also studied by means of modulus of continuity and the help of functions of the Lipschitz class. Furthermore, a Voronovskaja type result for these operators is given.

Zeng Qing-Lei,Zhang Ning,Zhang Yue-Yue,Xin Xiang-Dong,Attaribo Thomas,Shao Ying,Tang Liu-Mei,Zhang Ran,이광식,진병래,Gui Zhongzheng 한국응용곤충학회 2021 Journal of Asia-Pacific Entomology Vol.24 No.1
Silkworm (Bombyx mori) pupa protein (SPP) is a high-quality source of animal protein with substantial nutri tional benefits and health value. To develop an efficient extraction method for SPP that is environmentally friendly, we selected choline hydroxide ionic liquid (CH-IL) as the extraction solvent and performed orthogonal experiments to optimize the extraction conditions. We demonstrated that 3% CH-IL, a solid-to-liquid ratio (g/mL) of 1:30, an extraction temperature of 40 ◦ C, and an extraction time of 1 h facilitated the most efficient extraction. Compared to the conventional alkali solubilization–acid precipitation method, the CH-IL extraction increased protein content by 12.14%. Protein structure analysis showed that the β-sheet content increased by 10.98% and that of disulfide bonds reduced by 16.4%. The processing properties of the CH-IL extracted protein showed that the solubility, emulsification, and foaming capacity were enhanced by 82.87%, 15.44%, and 18.97%, respec tively. The physical properties of SPP remarkably improved relative to the increased stretching of the poly peptide chains. The findings of this study provide technical knowledge that will enhance the processing performance of pupal proteins.

Phytochemical investigation on dragon's blood of Dracaena cambodiana led to the discovery of two new flavonoid derivatives, cambodianin G (1) and cambodianin H (2). Their structures were elucidated on the basis of detailed spectroscopic analysis, including 1D and 2D NMR techniques and chemical methods. The two compounds were observed to exhibit antibacterial activities against Staphylococcus aureus, and compound 1 showed cytotoxicities against K562 and SGC-7901 cell lines.
Reparation and properties of porous ceramics via re-coating technique
Zhou Mei,Dai Wubin,Zeng Lingke 한양대학교 세라믹연구소 2015 Journal of Ceramic Processing Research Vol.16 No.5
Via a polymeric foam replication and two-step route (heating and re-coating), the reticulate porous ceramics (RPCs) were fabricated. The coating slurries were made up mainly by the ceramic powder (major raw material) and silica sol (binder). The re-coating slurries were obtained by mixing the pore-forming raw material with dilute coating slurries. The effect of the solidcontents on the re-coating rate (Pr) and the porosity (θs) was investigated. The experimental results indicate that the Pr is increasing and the θs is decreasing gradually following the increase of solid-contents. The specific surface area and the pore size distribution of the sintered bodies were measured by intrusive mercury curve. Morphological characteristics of the sintered bodies were investigated by the scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results illustrated that the pore diameter were all quite spread and the effective specific surface areas for the samples G-4, S-4 and D-4 RPCs are 0.36 m2 /g, 0.52 m2 / g and 1.63 m2 /g, respectively.

Background Both photosynthetic pigments and chloroplasts in plant leaf cells play an important role in deciding on the photosynthetic capacity and efficiency in plants. Systematical investigating the regulatory mechanism of chloroplast development and chlorophyll (Chl) content variation is necessary for clarifying the photosynthesis mechanism for crops. Objective This study aims to explore the critical regulatory mechanism of leaf color mutation in a yellow–green leaf sesame mutant Siyl-1. Methods We performed the genetic analysis of the yellow-green leaf color mutation using the F2 population of the mutant Siyl-1. We compared the morphological structure of the chloroplasts, chlorophyll content of the three genotypes of the mutant F2 progeny. We performed the two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2-DE) and compared the protein expression variation between the mutant progeny and the wild type. Results Genetic analysis indicated that there were 3 phenotypes of the F2 population of the mutant Siyl-1, i.e., YY type with light-yellow leaf color (lethal); Yy type with yellow-green leaf color, and yy type with normal green leaf color. The yellowgreen mutation was controlled by an incompletely dominant nuclear gene, Siyl-1. Compared with the wild genotype, the chloroplast number and the morphological structure in YY and Yy mutant lines varied evidently. The chlorophyll content also significantly decreased (P < 0.05). The 2-DE comparison showed that there were 98 differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) among YY, Yy, and yy lines. All the 98 DEPs were classified into 5 functional groups. Of which 82.7% DEPs proteins belonged to the photosynthesis and energy metabolism group. Conclusion The results revealed the genetic character of yellow-green leaf color mutant Siyl-1. 98 DEPs were found in YY and Yy mutant compared with the wild genotype. The regulation pathway related with the yellow leaf trait mutation in sesame was analyzed for the first time. The findings supplied the basic theoretical and gene basis for leaf color and chloroplast development mechanism in sesame.

Influence of interactions between Laccase and carbon nano-tubes modified by perylene derivative on structural parameters and electrochemical behaviors of immobilized redox protein, was investigated systematically by the means of spectrometry, photography and electro-chemistry. Sophisticated interactions including abutting coordination could result in anomalistic agglomeration of nano-composite with Lac incorporation which displayed better hydrophobicity than free Laccase and high resistance of charge shuttle. It would retard the progress of thermal decomposition of nano-composite and would lead to the formation of composite without emission of fluorescence. Strong binding of Laccase with perylenyl derivative (binding constant: 7.5×104 L/mol) would alter the mechanism of electron transferring. T1 Cu2+ of Laccase in the status of complexation played the intra-molecular electron relay with mid-wave potential at -135.6 mV and demonstrated undesirable dynamics in electron transferring (7.7×10-2 s-1). The catalytic function in oxygen reduction was prohibited for the abutting coordination and only weak catalytic effect could be achieved in the presence of electron relay. The whole catalytic cycle was limited by the mass transferring of electron mediator.

Dnd (dead end) gene encodes an RNA binding protein and is specifically expressed in primordial germ cells (PGCs) as a vertebrate-specific component of the germ plasma throughout embryogenesis. By utilizing a technique of specific nucleic acids associated with proteins (SNAAP), 13 potential target mRNAs of zebrafish Dnd (ZDnd) protein were identified from 8-cell embryo, and 8 target mRNAs have been confirmed using an RT-PCR analysis. Of the target mRNAs, the present study is focused on the regulation of geminin, which is an inhibitor of DNA replication. Using electrophoretic mobility shift assay (EMSA), we demonstrated that ZDND protein bound the 67-nucleotide region from 864 to 931 in the 3`UTR of geminin mRNA, a sequence containing 60.29% of uridine. Results from a dual-luciferase assay in HEK293 cells showed that ZDND increases the translation of geminin. Taken together, the identification of target mRNA for ZDnd will be helpful to further explore the biological function of Dnd in zebrafish germ-line development as well as in cancer cells.
