Unsteady cavitating turbulent flow around a twisted hydrofoil was analyzed to illustrate the physical mechanism of the cavitygeneratedpressure fluctuations. The numerical simulations of cavitating flow were based on the Partially-Averaged Navier-Stokes(PANS) method and a mass transfer cavitation model. The validity of PANS model has been evaluated and confirmed in cavitation simulationsby present authors using three different cases, 2D hydrofoil (Ji et al. 2012 [37]), 3D hydrofoil (Ji et al. 2013 [31]) and marine propeller(Ji et al. 2012 [38]), which shows that the PANS model with fk = 0.2 and fe = 1 can obtain more accurate estimates of unsteadycavitating flows with large-scale fluctuations at a reasonable cost. In present paper we intended to shed light on the physical process responsiblefor the pressure fluctuations excited by cavitation. The cavity volume was analyzed to illustrate the relationship between thecavitation evolution and the pressure fluctuations. The results show that the cavity volumetric acceleration curve tracks remarkably wellwith the main features of the time-dependent pressure fluctuations except for the high frequency component. Thus, the cavity volumetricacceleration is the main source of the excited pressure fluctuations by cavitation. It is noted that the cavitation induced pressure fluctuationsare transmitted along the suction surface of the hydrofoil and are synchronized with those on the pressure surface at the midplane ofthe twisted hydrofoil. Further, the pressure fluctuations on the pressure surface decrease towards the center from both the leading andtrailing edges of the hydrofoil, with a minimum at 60% chord length from the leading edge.
Nonprofit Membership and Interpersonal Trust in Diversity

Diverse values and unified interpersonal trust have both been stressed as prerequisites in social governance, although contradictions can arise in trying to achieve both. Using cross-national data of more than 29,000 samples from the World Value Survey and relying on the circle and layer structure of governance consensus, we investigate the extent to which the participation of nonprofits in social governance influences interpersonal trust and value diversity. Our findings show that nonprofits increase the perception of fairness in social governance and that they contribute to cultural diversity.
Vacuum Carbonization of Nanometer Tungsten Powder with Carbon Black

Vacuum carbonization of nanometer tungsten powder was investigated in a simple designed apparatus. An X-Y recorder was used to plot differential thermal analysis (DTA) curves to determine starting temperature of carbonization of four samples with different specific surface area. The product was detected by X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS). The results show that finer tungsten powder has lower starting temperature of carbonization. Tungsten powder, which BET surface area is , is completely carbonized to tungsten carbide at , although the starting temperature is . Particle grows sharply before carbonization.

Governments play a crucial role in supporting a dynamic ecosystem for firms. The Doing Business project aims to deliver a body of knowledge that will catalyze reforms and help improve the quality of the rules underpinning the activities of the private sector. the Republic of Korea and the china have made good practices in business regulations. In 2002,the World Bank Group outlined a new strategy for tapping private initiative to reduce poverty. Although macro policies are unquestionably important, there is a growing consensus that the quality of business regulation and institutions that enforce it are a major determinant of prosperity, a good regulatory environment is also important. Doing Business is a series of annual reports investigating the scope and manner of regulations that enhance business activity and those that constrain it. The Doing Business project aims to advance the World Bank Group's private sector development agenda: (1)Motivating reforms through country benchmarking; (2)Informing the design of reforms;(3)Enriching international initiatives on development effectiveness; (4)Informing theory. The indicators in the Doing Business represent a new approach to measurement. The focus is on domestic small and medium-size companies. The analysis is based on assessments of laws and regulations, with input from and verification by local experts who deal with practical situations of the type covered in the reports.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In this paper, we propose a versatile electrospraying method that allows for the rapid uptake of dye molecules on the surfaces of TiO<SUB>2</SUB> nanoparticles (NPs) for speeding up the fabrication of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The proposed method both significantly speeds up the dye molecule adsorption process and increases the amount of dye adsorbed. We systematically investigated the effects of the applied voltage and the substrate heating temperature during the electrospraying of the dye-molecule-containing solution on the photovoltaic performance of the resulting DSSCs in terms of their open-circuit voltage, short-circuit current, fill factor, and power conversion efficiency (<I>PCE</I>). The electrospraying method reduced the length of the dye adsorption process by several hours and is almost 10 times faster than the conventional dip-coating method for depositing dye molecules on the surfaces of the TiO<SUB>2</SUB> NPs in the photoelectrodes of DSSCs. This was because of the electrostatic force of attraction between the dye molecules and the TiO<SUB>2</SUB> NPs. The <I>PCE</I> of the resulting DSSCs (4.68% for a photoactive area of 0.36cm<SUP>2</SUP>), which were assembled by electrospraying for 3h, was higher than that of DSSCs assembled by dip coating for 30h (4.28% for a photoactive area of 0.36cm<SUP>2</SUP>), owing to the fact that the amount of dye adsorbed in the former case was much higher.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Electrosprayed dyes are rapidly deposited on TiO<SUB>2</SUB> nanoparticles by several hours. </LI> <LI> Electrostatic attraction force increases the dye adsorption on TiO<SUB>2</SUB> nanoparticles. </LI> <LI> Electrospraying method improves the performance of dye-sensitized solar cells. </LI> </UL> </P>

Background miRNAs play an important role in regulating normal animal development. Muscle tissue and fat metabolismare important for maintaining energy balance in animals. Yak has important agricultural and economic importance as itprovides milk, meat, and hair. It is used for transportation as well. However, the miRNA expression profiles of their muscleand adipose tissue are currently unknown. Objective To explore the regulatory roles of miRNAs in the skeletal muscle and adipose tissues of yak. Methods A total of 12 small RNA libraries were constructed from the skeletal muscle and adipose samples from yak aged 0.5,2.5, 4.5, and 7.5 years. High-throughput sequencing and bioinformatics analysis were used to determine the dynamic expressionprofile of miRNA, and a miRNA regulatory network related to muscle and adipose tissue development was established. Results miR-1-3p and miR-143-3p showed the highest expression during yak skeletal muscle and fat development, respectively. The MAPK and Ras signaling pathways were the pivotal pathways. miR-181-5p, miR-542-3p, and miR-424-5p mayhave key roles in skeletal muscle development, and CREBRF, GRB10, CDK1, RFX3, and EPC2 were the core target genes. While miR-127-5p, miR-379-3p, and miR-494-3p may play important regulatory roles in adipose deposition, and ETV1,XPO7, and C5AR2 were the core target genes. Conclusion This study provides valuable resources for further study of the molecular mechanisms underlying yak skeletalmuscle and adipose tissue development, and also a basis for studying the interactions between genes and miRNAs.
Nicotine exacerbates tacrolimus-induced renal injury by programmed cell death

Background/Aims: Cigarette smoking is an important modifiable risk factor in kidney disease progression. However, the underlying mechanisms for this are lacking. This study aimed to assess whether nicotine (NIC), a major toxic component of cigarette smoking, would exacerbates tacrolimus (TAC)-induced renal in-jury. Methods: Sprague-Dawley rats were treated daily with NIC, TAC, or both drugs for 4 weeks. The influence of NIC on TAC-caused renal injury was examined via renal function, histopathology, oxidative stress, mitochondria, endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, and programmed cell death (apoptosis and autophagy). Results: Both NIC and TAC significantly impaired renal function and histopathology, while combined NIC and TAC treatment aggravated these parameters beyond the effects of either alone. Increased oxidative stress, ER stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, proinflammatory and profibrotic cytokine expressions, and programmed cell death from either NIC or TAC were also aggravated by the two combined. Conclusions: Our observations suggest that NIC exacerbates chronic TAC nephrotoxicity, implying that smoking cessation may be beneficial for transplant smokers taking TAC.

<P>Reliable performances with a long lifetime are the most important factors of transparent conducting electrodes (TCEs). Here, we report a new synthesis strategy for high-performance TCEs based on the fusion of a polyimide (PI) substrate and silver layer-coated PI nanofibers. Due to the successful fusion of the substrate into the core without immiscibility, the as-synthesized TCEs showed excellent performances (a sheet resistance of 1.33 Ω sq<SUP>−1</SUP> and a total optical transmittance of 88%) even after 100 000 bending cycles at a bending radius of 1.75 mm.</P>
