Co3(PO4)2-Coated LiV3O8 as Positive Materials for Rechargeable Lithium Batteries

Co3(PO4)2-coated LiV3O8 has been successfully synthesized and used as positive material for rechargeable lithium batteries by a facile liquid phase method. The as-prepared powders were characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and the galvanostatic discharge/charge experiments. As-prepared Co3(PO4)2-coated LiV3O8 forms a good layered structure with a poor cyrstallinity. SEM reveals that Co3(PO4)2-coated LiV3O8 has uniform particle distribution and reduced particle size when compared with bare one. The Co3(PO4)2 coating layer is about 33 - 59 nm forming a continuous lumps attached to LiV3O8 particle surface. Co3(PO4)2-coated LiV3O8 electrode shows increased capacity and more stable cycling. The first and 35th discharge capacities of the Co3(PO4)2-coated LiV3O8electrode are 322.8 mAh g−1 and 235.7 mAh g−1 in the range of 4.0 - 1.8 V at a current rate of 30 mA g−1, respectively. The improved electrochemical performance is assigned to the greatly reduced LiV3O8 particle with uniform morphology. Co3(PO4)2-coating further benefits the phase transitions of LiV3O8 during discharge/charge while preventing parasite reactions between electrode surface and electrolyte.

Purpose The prognosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) patients with parotid lymph node (PLN) metastasis remains unclear. This study was performed to investigate the prognostic significance and optimal staging category of PLN metastasis and develop a nomogram for estimating individual risk. Materials and Methods Clinical data of 7,084 non-metastatic NPC patients were retrospectively reviewed. Overall survival (OS) was the primary endpoint. A nomogram was established based on the Cox proportional hazards regression model. The accuracy and calibration ability of this nomogram was evaluated by C-index and calibration curves with bootstrap validation. Results Totally, 164/7,084 NPC patients (2.3%) presented with PLNs. Multivariate analyses showed that PLN metastasis was a negative prognostic factor for OS, progression-free survival (PFS), distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS), and locoregional relapse-free survival (LRFS). Patients with PLN metastasis had a worse prognosis than N3 disease. Five independent prognostic factors were included in the nomogram, which showed a C-index of 0.743. The calibration curves for probability of 3- and 5-year OS indicated satisfactory agreement between nomogram-based prediction and actual observation. All results were confirmed in the validation cohort. Conclusion NPC patient with PLN metastasis had poorer survival outcome (OS, PFS, DMFS, and LRFS) than N3 disease. We developed a nomogram to provide individual prediction of OS for patients with PLN metastasis.

본문에서는 簿書를 해석하는 범주에서 吳簡 중 보이는 簽署·省校 및 勾畫符號(약호略號)에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. ‘調布入受莂’에 서명된 ‘祁’는 아마도 臨湘 侯國 丞 祁의 친필 서명일 것이다. ‘庫入受莂’ 중 ‘丞弁關’은 佐吏가 대신 서명한 것으로 보이며, 이 두 가지는 모두 권위성과 효력을 지니고 있다. ‘户品出錢簡’에서 (臨湘)侯相의 아래 부분에 적힌 校記 ‘ ’는 臨湘 侯相 ‘管君’ 혹은 屬吏가 ‘户品出錢簿’를 감사한 후 서명한 것이고, ‘已核’(이미 감사됨을 의미함)이라고 한다. ‘襍錢領出用餘見簿’에서 흔히 보이는 ‘朱筆涂痕’(빨간색 긴 선)은 장부의 유통내역 대조가 끝났다는 약호이고, 校記 ‘中’의 역할과 기본적으로 비슷하며 ‘符合·正確(부합함과 정확함)’을 의미한다. Some examples of the signatures, checking marks and sketched symbols in the Wu Slips unearthed at Zoumalou are studied from the structure of the registers. The signature “Qi(祁)” in some registers of cloth entered and received at the treasury should be the autograph of Qi(祁), who was the assistant of the chancellor of the Linxiang marquisate, and the signature “Cheng Bian Guan(丞弁關)” in some entered and received registers at the treasury should be the allograph of staff member. Whether autograph “Qi(祁)”, or allograph “Cheng Bian Guan(丞弁關)” were authoritative and effective. The checking mark “ ” in some registers of cash payment of households of the three grades should be the official comment written by the chancellor of the Linxiang marquisate “GuanJun(管君)” or a staff member after checking the registers. The checking mark “ ” meant that has been checked and correct. The “red paint mark” (red long lines) in the registers of various types cash received, spent and remaining should be the sketched symbol which was used to check the account transfer. The role of this sketched symbol was the same as the checking mark “zhong(中)”, which were meant consistent and corrent.
A Difference Expansion Based Reversible Data Hiding Algorithm Using Edge-Oriented Prediction

In this paper, a difference expansion based reversible data hiding approach which achieves the low distortion requirement under the same embedding capacity is proposed. An edge-oriented prediction method and a modified overflow/underflow prevention method are proposed to achieve the requirement. For each pixel, the prediction method uses edge information to get a better predicted value in an attempt to reduce the image distortion. Experimental results have demonstrated that the proposed reversible data hiding method yields lower distortion than several well-known expansion-based reversible data hiding methods.

In Howards End (1910), E. M. Forster carries out a highly nuanced exploration of gender relations to highlight the conflicting ideas of liberalism and materialism of the upper-middle classes in England in the years before World War I. Such readings are predicated on classical gender opposition. However, clear-cut gender division seems unsettling and hence somewhat crude because the reader is repeatedly baffled by the novel`s out-of-character gender performances, which not only defy but transcend established gender expectations. In Howards End, all major characters seem to be overshadowed by some kind of performative failure in their inability to fully realize gender roles as well as to adequately fulfill gender expectations. This paper aims to verify through textual evidence whether or not performative failure actually manifests hidden anxieties concealed behind a novel written immediately preceding Forster`s final confirmation of his own sexual identity. It also attempts to show how the anxieties have been disguised, transformed, or overlaid in more public statements about conventional issues of courtship and marriage in the novel. In other words, Howards End may prove to be only deceptively conventional and a key to unfolding Foster`s secret desire.

Parallel three-level neutral point clamped (3L-NPC) inverters are widely used in power conversion applications, such as new energy generation and high voltage inverters. However, the zero-sequence circulating current (ZSCC) between two inverters degrades the whole performance of the system. To suppress the ZSCC in parallel inverters and improve the quality of output current, this study proposes an MPC strategy based on the virtual location vector. First, to reduce the computational burden of MPC, the virtual location vector is constructed by the output current of two inverters so that the control of the parallel inverters is similar to that of a single inverter. Then, the virtual location vector is obtained by using the direct power control method. Finally, the sets of candidate voltage vectors for MPC are determined on the basis of this reference voltage vector and the magnitude of ZSCC. Moreover, the optimal vectors calculated by MPC are assigned to the two inverters. Compared with the traditional MPC strategy, the MPC strategy proposed in this study has better steady state and transient performance with less computational burden. The proposed method is validated in simulation and experimental platforms.

Myogenic enhancer transcription factor 2c (MEF2c), one of the members of the MEF2 family of transcription factors, plays an important role in mammalian muscle development. However, the role of MEF2c in avian muscle development still remains unclear. To understand the function of MEF2c in avian muscle development, we first cloned the duck MEF2c coding domain sequence (CDS) and analyzed MEF2c expression in duck muscle tissues of embryos from 10 days of incubation to 1 week after birth using real-time PCR technology. The results showed that the duck MEF2c CDS consists of 1,398nucleotides that encode 465 amino acids. The MEF2c duck protein contains a MADS domain, a MEF2 domain and a HJURP_C domain with high homology to related proteins in other organisms. Different expression levels of MEF2c were found in skeletal, smooth and cardiac muscle. Therefore, these results indicated that duck MEF2c has two conserved domains (a MADS and a MEF2 domain), is an indispensable regulator of muscle development, and plays an important role in the development of duck muscle.
