        Tie1 contributes to the development of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome under the regulation of EGR1 in granulosa cells

        The expression of tyrosine kinase with immunoglobulin-like and epidermal growth factor-like domains 1 (Tie1), a transmembrane protein expressed almost exclusively by endothelial cells, has been reported in granulosa cells. However, its significance in ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS), which can occur after the injection of gonadotropins in infertile women undergoing controlled ovarian stimulation, is unknown. Here, we report significantly increased Tie1 and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression in cultured granulosa cells from OHSS patients, as well as ovaries from rats with experimentally established OHSS, compared to controls, with the levels of both proteins also increasing in granulosa and SVOG cells (a nontumorigenic human granulosa-lutein cell line) treated with an acute dose of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). Tie1 silencing abolished the hCG-induced VEGF level in SVOG cells and attenuated the progression of OHSS in rats, as determined by histological analysis. Further studies in SVOG cells revealed that the hCG-induced upregulation of Tie1 expression involved the phosphoinositide 3-kinase/protein kinase B signaling pathway. We also report that early growth response protein 1 (EGR1), whose expression was also upregulated by hCG, bound directly to the Tie1 promoter and activated its transcription. Taken together, our results indicate that Tie1 may be a therapeutic target in cases of moderate-to-severe OHSS. Further studies are needed to address its clinical relevance.

      • Overlay Network Routing Based on Shadow Price

        Overlay network is constructed at application layer to provide higher level services. In the past few years, overlay network has received much attention. As different choices of overlay topologies and overlay routing would have different results on the performance of the network, how to design an efficient overlay topology for overlay routing is considered necessary and important. Traditional approaches of overlay topology or overlay routing are designed based on static state metrics, such as the number of hops, or link cost, the side effect of which caused the routing resulting the traffic bottleneck, finally declining the performance of network routing. There existed many candidate routing schemes to provide overlay networking. Recently, with the assist of network providers, some users construct a minimum spanning tree for overlay routing. Minimum spanning tree is efficient, but more efficient topology will exist. In this paper, aiming at distributing network traffics, the concept of shadow price is introduced to design the topology. Shadow price considers the future condition of network based on current network status, and is useful to design more efficient overlay networks.

      • Control System Design of Anti-rolling Tank Swing Bench Using BP Neural Network PID Based on LabVIEW

        The anti-rolling tank swing bench is a typical hydraulic position servo system. Its function is to simulate the ship roll motion and to verify the performance of the anti-rolling tank. Generally, the PID control method can achieve an ideal control effect. But the uncertainties, such as the couplings and the nonlinearty of the swing bench, make it difficult to establish the precise mathematical model of system. During experiments, the different disturbance torques are generated according to the different dimension scales of the anti-rolling tanks. Changes of the natural characteristics of the system are caused by changes of load, and the fixed parameters of PID controller are difficult to continue to ensure a good control effect. In order to reduce the influences caused by the factors mentioned above, a BP neural network PID control system based on virtual instrument LabVIEW is designed. By simulating the responses of the system in real time control, the verification tests using actual system are avoided. Finally, the experiments of swing bench are carried out. The results show that the controller can ensure the control accuracy and stability. The parameters tuning process efficiency is improved. The operation is convenient. The data acquisition process is simple and practical.

        Characterization and expression analysis of BcAMT1;4, an ammonium transporter gene in flowering Chinese cabbage

        Ammonium (NH 4+ ) is generated during many endogenous metabolic processes in the leaves of plants, and there is increasing evidence that ammonium transporters (AMTs) play important roles in NH 4 + transmembrane transport and distribution. However, the expression of diff erent AMT genes is tissue-type specifi c and their functions diff er. Information about AMT genes and their expression under diff erent environmental conditions in fl owering Chinese cabbage ( Brassica campestris L.) is currently limited. Here, we isolated and characterized an AMT gene, BcAMT1;4 , in fl owering Chinese cabbage. BcAMT1;4 was localized to the plasma membrane and complemented NH 4+ transport in NH 4+ uptake-defi cient yeast. The highest expression levels of BcAMT1;4 were detected in the fl owers and leaves of fl owering Chinese cabbage. The expression of BcAMT1;4 was induced by nitrogen defi ciency and signifi cantly inhibited by the reapplication of NH 4+ (NH 4 Cl or NH 4 NO 3 ). In contrast, when plants pre-cultured in nitrate were transferred to an NH 4+ nutrient solution, BcAMT1;4 expression was signifi cantly enhanced. BcAMT1;4 exhibited a diurnal expression pattern, with higher expression levels during the light period than during the dark period, and a peak expression at the later stage of the light period. Knowledge of AMT genes in fl owering Chinese cabbage will lay a foundation for enhancing our understanding of the functional roles of diff erent AMT members in the regulation of its growth by NH 4+ , as BcAMT1;4 seems to play an important role in leaf NH 4+ transport.

        Research and Implementation of U-Learning System Based on Experience API

        Experience API provides a learner-centered model for learning data collection and learning process recording. In particular, it can record learning data from multiple data sources. Therefore, Experience API provides verygood support for ubiquitous learning. In this paper, we put forward the architecture of ubiquitous learningsystem and the method of reading the learning record from the ubiquitous learning system. We analyze students’learning behavior from two aspects: horizontal and vertical, and give the analysis results. The system canprovide personalized suggestions for learners according to the results of learning analysis. According to thefeedback from learners, we can see that this u-learning system can greatly improve learning interest and qualityof learners.

        Indium doping effect on the magnetic properties of Y-type hexaferrite Ba0.5Sr1.5Zn2(Fe1-xInx)12O22

        The effect of indium doping on structural and magnetic properties of Y-type hexaferrite Ba0.5Sr1.5Zn2(Fe1- xInx)12O22 (x=0, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08 and 0.1) prepared by the solid state reaction method was investigated. The Rietveld refinement method was used to analyze the X-ray diffraction patterns. The magnetic transition temperatures associated with the proper-screw spin phase to the collinear ferrimagnetic spin phase transition can be efficiently modulated by varying indium content. The magnetic transition temperature increases to a maximum with indium content x=0.04 and then decreases with x, suggesting the possibility that electrically controlled magnetization reversal can be can be effectively tailored by varying indium content. The saturation magnetization at room temperature was decreased as increasing indium content, which can be explained as the metal ions occupation. It is worthy to note that the coercivity of In-doped samples was decreased drastically compared that of undoped sample, which is probably resulted from the reduction in anisotropy field with substitution of In3+ for Fe3+. The In-doped hexaferrite Ba0.5Sr1.5Zn2(Fe1-xInx)12O22 may be potential candidates for application in magnetoelectric devices.

        Multimodal Perturbation and Cluster Pruning Based Selective Ensemble Classifier and Its Iron Industrial Application

        The selective ensemble aims to search the optimal subset balanced accuracy and diversity from the original base classifier set to construct an ensemble classifier with strong generalization performance. A selective ensemble classifier named BRFS-APCSC is proposed in this paper, which realizes the generation and selection of a set of accurate and diverse base classifiers respectively. In the first step, a multimodal perturbation method is introduced to train distinct base classifiers. The method perturbs the sample space by Bootstrap and disturbs the feature space under a newly proposed semi-random feature selection, which is a combination of the core attribute theory and the improved maximum relevance minimum redundancy algorithm. Then, to search the optimal classifier subset, affinity propagation clustering is added to cluster base classifiers in the first step, then the base classifiers are regarded as features so that the improved maximum relevance minimum redundancy algorithm is applied to select parts of base classifiers from each cluster for integration. UCI datasets and an actual dataset of semi-decarbonization are employed to verify the performance of BRFS-APCSC. The experimental results demonstrate that BRFS-APCSC has significantly difference with other selective ensemble methods and improve the classification accuracy.

        Intelligent On-demand Routing Protocol for Ad Hoc Network

        Ad hoc networks play an important role in mobile communications, and the performance of nodes has asignificant impact on the choice of communication links. To ensure efficient and secure data forwarding anddelivery, an intelligent routing protocol (IAODV) based on learning method is constructed. Five attributes ofnode energy, rate, credit value, computing power and transmission distance are taken as the basis ofsegmentation. By learning the selected samples and calculating the information gain of each attribute, thedecision tree of routing node is constructed, and the rules of routing node selection are determined. IAODValgorithm realizes the adaptive evaluation and classification of network nodes, so as to determine the optimaltransmission path from the source node to the destination node. The simulation results verify the feasibility,effectiveness and security of IAODV.
